I reached out with a pretty specific request for a built in seating/record storage area and provided him my rough sketches and measurements for the piece. Only real issue was some gaps that we ended up having the caulk. Over the last year the caulking as failed and the gaps have reappeared - but honestly that was because our house is old and nothing is really straight. First contacted WoodHarmonic Jan 6, through yelp. They asked me to email them and send rough sketches. I sent those over. Carla said : "Currently we are fully booked for the next 2 months. If you are still interested we can place you in our waiting list and get back to you as soon as we are available." I thought that was odd since they could have just quoted me and put me in the queue, but agreed as I wasn't in a rush. I waited through March. I waited through April. Finally, I contacted them back the other day. Here is what is got back : "Thank you for the follow up. Unfortunately we won't be able to help you. We are fully booked until August as right now. Please note we book projects on a first come first served basis. I could book my schedule further ahead from clients that already received quotes and decide to move forward in the following weeks. We apologize for waiving the opportunity to work with you." Yikes. Where to start? The arrogance? The waste of time? The BS? I was supposedly on the waitlist in early January, so first come first serve should have put me in line for spring, ahead of all those confirmed jobs through August. Listen I am sure the quality is good, maybe even great. But for goodness sakes, get a production manager. I thought perhaps my job was too small as it was just 3 built in units that needed replacing in my MCM home, but he makes cake stands and single vanities, so that's not it. Im sure you'll have better luck than I did, unless however, you are reading this review shortly after its been posted, then no. No, you will probably not bother because they are so busy, and its several months before they are accepting new projects. The below reply blaming the pandemic for lax business practices is absurd, and disrespectful to those truly suffering. If the review were meant to be strictly of the product, cabinetry in this case, then I wouldn't have left a review. Yelp is a community of people that leave overall experiences of a business, inclusive of their backend, scheduling, staffing, etc. my experience was poor, therefore I left the above review. We had very specific ideas of what we wanted with features such as side vents for the electronic equipment with the TV and stereo. After reading reviews and their website we filled out the project form. Within hours we heard back from Alejandro and within days we had a design that we loved. He even accommodated our request to see a sample of the finish on the wood, came to our house and talked through details, and then finished the piece exactly when he said he would. Woodharmonic did a beautiful job with our kitchen remodel, starting from the initial meeting, through cabinet construction, installation, and tweaking final details. Alejandro made sure we were happy every step of the way, even though we had to change a couple items that were in the original plans (like changing the double doors on a corner cabinet to a single door to make access easier). We are detail-oriented, but so is Alejandro, and he was happy to make adjustments; his attention to detail was also reflected in the quality of the cabinet construction as well as the quality of the materials. To be sure the stain and finish was what we wanted, we narrowed down our choices, and he came over with a range of options that we could compare and choose from. We designed the overall layout because one of us is an architect, but Woodharmonic executed the design the way we wanted and worked with us all the way to the end. Alejandro and his team obviously have a lot of experience and skill, and we appreciated them bringing those to our job - the result is fantastic.
