I had my A/C quit working on one of the hottest days in August. They were the only company who had an appointment same day as I called. They arrived when they said they would. The technician knew where to start looking, diagnosed the issue quickly. He had the part and installed it in a timely manner and was on his way. I should have gone with Bruce and his team from the start. Instead, I chose another company thats heavily advertised on the radio. But, for several reasons I cancelled that job weeks before the start date. Not long after, I found Precision Air Services. Within a week, (in the middle of the busy hot summer season), Bruce had come out, provide a very affordable quote and then had the unit installed. Coincidentally, another of our older units went on the brink just after the first one. Again, Bruce came out, (on a Saturday), assessed the situation, gave another great quote and had that new unit installed in 2 days. My furnace broke down at my rental in seatac. After doing everything I could I finally had to call in the pros. Bruce at precision air came out same day and diagnosed the rare gas valve issue that other guys said wasn't the issue. He brought the part out the next day and installed in less than 20 min. He's a rare old school pro that knows his stuff. Cost wise he was more than generous, other shops would have been more than double for the same work. We are so glad that we found Bruce at Precision. A technician at other company told us our AC unit needed to be replaced. We asked Bruce to come for a new AC estimate. When he found the problem and fixed it for under $150. Now our beloved AC is working great again. Many thanks to Bruce! On top, he helped us to fix our sauna unit for free. Bruce installed my AC and New Furnace a year ago. He told me he had too drill in the furnace filteRs because of the location of where the furnace is placed. He told me he would make sure to come every year to change the filter because of the drilling he had to do. I have been calling him and leaving messages for the past 6 months and no response. Now I have to get another company out here to help me deal with the drilling he did and getting the filter changed. read more

He did a fine job BUT we paid him $50 to get us some filters and to date we havent received them! I have sent texts, no response. I have left phone messages, no response. We met Bruce , the owner a couple years ago when using a Groupon for heater/ac servicing. He did a great job and we have called him a couple times subsequent to the initial visit. We eventually purchased an energy efficient furnace (ours was 20 years old) from Bruce which was reasonably priced and has worked like a charm. This past weekend the pilot light went out and we called him on a Sunday morning. He showed up within an hour after he returned our call. He is such a nice guy, very low key. The furnace was still under warranty so the repair cost was covered to replace the switch (which took about 1/2 hour) but we appreciated the fact that he came out on a Sunday afternoon. I met Bruce about 8 years ago. He came out to repair my furnace that a previous company couldn't fix without tearing down my wall. I used him because of a referral from a friend, plus I wanted a second opinion. Bruce fixed the problem the previous company couldn't do. He didn't tear down the wall and it also was only a fraction of the cost. Ever since then I've been loyal to Bruce often referring friends to his company. I have not heard one unsatisfied friend with Bruce. Over the years he had replaced the furnace on my home and my rentals. He also have serviced the water heaters on couple of my rentals. My tenants tells me that Bruce is very professional, quick and super friendly. The best thing about Bruce and his company is that he answers all my calls including weekends, cause sometime a water heater leak or no heat in the winter can be stressful. One time he even walked me through how to do a simple fix on a water heater over the phone. He didn't even charge me for that. We called Bruce over 5 years ago for our furnace problem after we mistakenly let an inexperience duct cleaner company ruined it by taking apart the blower and messed up the counter weight. Bruce helped us getting our money back and installed a new unit the same day with decent price but best part about Precision Air is quick response service when you need repair or maintenance. Thanks Bruce and Precision! We had a furnace installed locally by another company. We thought it was running fine, but come to find out, it was only blowing the fan, so cold air!! We didn't realize it until the original company was gone, so left us in a lurch. As it happens, it was close to Christmas and getting someone to come back out to troubleshoot was near to impossible. Bruce to the RESCUE! He tried to save us money initially by talking through some simple trouble shooting senarios with us hands on. Still no progress after a couple (free) phone calls, he agreed to come by and do so in person. He did, and it didn't take long for him to fish the problem. Under an hour to correct, for weeks and weeks without heat and frustration of dealing with those in business for bucks over reputation. I called for an appointment because there were some good reviews of their services. The earliest appointment yesterday (a week and a half after my call). Fifteen minutes before the approximated service time, I was called by Scott to say that Bruce's previous appointment had taken longer than expected and could he move the appointment to today. I said okay, can we do it in the morning. He said Bruce would be out at 11am. At noon, after waiting to see if he was just running late, I called them back and whoever answered said he couldn't see an appointment made for today. He said he would call someone to get it sorted and call me back. It's almost 2pm now and I just left a message, but couldn't talk to anyone so I am left with a heater that is not working properly and probably having to go into a 1-2 week que with some other company because I waited for these guys. If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible customer service. read more

I am here to tell you about one fine HVAC company, Precision Air Services, and its owner, Bruce Rankin. When our Carrier heat pump and air controller went south, I obtained three bids. One from M&M which we had been with for years, and two others obtained from the Internet...one of which was Precision Air. This time we opted for a Lennox Signature Home Comfort System...the best recommended company. M&M sent out an office sales representative who ran a bunch of numbers, and came up with a gross figure. He then deducted the $800.00 Puget Power energy rebate, gave credit of $400.00+ previous M&M charge for repairs (supposedly for OEM repair parts, over which we had a hassle with M&M who claimed the parts were out of warranty...but it turned out the service tech had jerrybuilt old previous used parts that he welded together in the M&M shop that failed), and some other numbers and reserved 'contingencies', and came out with a bottom line of some $600.00 less than the bid I received from Precision Air. I asked him what would be the projected installation date, and he said it would be schedules about four weeks out. (This, in the first part of July, 2014, and the weather was already hot). Bruce Rankin, owner of Precision Air, and the sole technician for his company, came out, examined the whole Carrier system, lines, electrical, made sure there would be no installation contingencies, and made a bid on the identical Lennox systems, and was about $600.00 higher that M&M's...BUT, I was the one who got the energy rebate of $800.00 which Puget Power paid me...not the other way around where the rebate was just offset from the gross figure of the other bid, where it appeared M&M would take the rebate. (Also, I had had prior trouble with M&M on prior occasions, for incorrect diagnosis and repair costs, which always involved hassles with their office.) Thus, Precision Air was our actual lowest net bidder by $200.00, plus there were no contingencies! We opted to go with Precision Air, because Bruce Rankin was the on-the-job working guy...made a complete inspection prior to the bid (spending a few hours doing so), extended the 5 year warranty to 10 years (as long as he did the annual maintenance work), easy to talk to, knew his apples, and took me around with him for his inspection, and explaining the whole process to me. When asked about the projected installation date, he said he could pick up the equipment the next day, Friday,and install it on the following Monday! His word was good as gold. The equipment was installed on time, by himself, and after some follow-up visits to make some adjustments because of the interior air-volume of our home, the system has performed exceedingly well....better than our expectations...because of his personal expertise. Besides, just talking too him, and what he says, you know he is honest and forthright as the day is long....and he is a genuinely a nice guy. We have absolutely no hesitancy in recommending Bruce Rankin and his Precision Air Services for HVAC needs. While he may be a sole proprietor located in the Kent/Covington , WA area, he came all the way to us in Sammamish, WA....meaning, I would think, he will go anywhere, within reason, to do business. One phone call and you do not have to wait a week or so for an appointment...it is the next day or so. If anyone wants to call us, we will be happy to talk about this man and his company.
