They provided a quote based on a photo I sent and stuck to that price--which was significantly lower than two other plumbing companies I checked. Interestingly, Overlake also installed our old water heater and a new furnace in the past. I'd definitely recommend them to friends!

I have used Overlake since 2019 in two different homes. In addition to routine maintenance, I have…read morehad an entire A/C system installed which included electrical and gas line work which was difficult due to the location in a narrow hallway closet. I have also had them replace a condenser in another system. Recently, they replaced a gas water heater with a tankless system. This was a difficult installation due to the location in the center of the house and the need to install intake and exhaust pipes to the exterior of the house. A technician and two installers made visits and then I was given a detailed proposal with recommendations and several options. The owner, Robert, called to answer my list of questions, so that I fully understood my options. The work was scheduled within the week. The technicians arrived on time, reviewed the project with me and kept me updated as the work progressed. They laid down protective coverings over hardwood floors, as they had to drain and remove the 80 gallon water heater through the living area. The installation required that they cut two access openings in an existing chase to gain access to an outside wall. They cleaned up afterwards and I could not tell that they had been working there. I have always experienced great service from the initial contact through the competition of a project. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend their HVAC and water heater services.

I pitched a project via Yelp to install cooling and replace the furnace to all of the most highly rated companies in the area. All of them recommended a heat pump as opposed to traditional AC. Better Air NW's proposal was not only the least expensive by a fair margin, but also offered the highest quality machines and best warranties. Normally, I'd be pretty skeptical at that combination, but all of the positive reviews on Yelp convinced me to accept their offer. A few days later, as I write this I'm basking in the warmth of my new heater. The installation was smooth, painless, and well done. Despite some unexpected challenges in the home's design to figure out and overcome, they charged exactly their estimate; there were none of the kind of headaches or scams that one often expects dealing with contractors. All in all, great experience, these folks deserve their lofty reputation.

I decided to go with Better Air NW, mainly because of their high yelp rating. Install did not go perfectly. I had concerns about excessive equipment noise. Justin (the owner) assured me that if it's not right, it's not done. Air pressure settings needed to be corrected. Due to the vibration, we unmounted the heat pump from the house. After that, it's been smooth sailing. They appear to have a strategy of cultivating customer satisfaction and confidence. If you're shopping around, these guys are a pretty safe bet.

AirCare USA - 5 unit air duct cleaning in Federal Way for a new restaurant opening soon

We were referred to Aircare USA to have our air ducts cleaned. My husband called and asked for a…read morequote. He was sold on an "air scrubber". I asked him what that meant, he said it was like an air purifier. He was told we would be only paying for the air duct clean and the product itself. He was originally quoted $800 for the cleaning and the air scrubber for a $1600 package deal. We have an Aerus Air Scrubber cut in and installed into our HVAC system. As I walked in the door that night from work, I said, "why does it smell like an ozonator in here?" He asked me what that was. I explained that it was something that sucks the oxygen out of room to remove strong orders quickly. Companies that do Bio-hazard clean-up and restoration commonly use these machines. I am very familiar with this smell, as I have been in property management for 15 years. In fact, I own a small one for vacant homes. Ozone machines can make people very ill. My husband immediately notified Jim, the owner, that my son and I were smelling this odor and were getting headaches and our eyes were watering. It's important to note: we experienced NONE of these symptoms before AirCare USA. Jim claimed that they do not use ozone as they tried that once and he knows its bad. He had no idea what we could be smelling. Maybe it was the "sanitizer" they spray in the machine. He asked us to give it a little while longer. A week passed and still the smell was there and we were even more sick. I got on a step stool and unplugged the machine. When we called to ask them to remove it "100% Customer Guarantee" they pushed us out weeks. The day before the appointment I called Jim and asked how we would be reimbursed. He told me it would be up to Alex and he wasn't sure how much but he would cut us a check. Late that evening I received a text telling me we were not receiving anything back. During the appointment, Alex told my husband we would only see a refund had they been able to get their money back from the company. My husband asked why we should be on the hook for $1600 for something that was making us sick, Alex asked why HE should be on the hook for it. They buy these units in bulk and can't return them. He also said there was nothing in the unit and he has no idea what we would smell. As Alex was leaving my husband had to ask for our piece of equipment back that makes us sick, that they were going to take and not refund us any money. We have a patch in our HVAC system, you cannot find this model number of air scrubber on the internet anywhere and we are still out money. This was our experience with AirCare USA.
