We needed to replace our old hot water heater. The crew managed to replace the old narrow hot water heater next to the furnace with the newer wider model, since the narrow size is no longer made. They also had to move a small propane line. They did a wonderful job needing to juggle everything into a very small space. read more

When Brent owned this business I would rate PMG 5 stars. Also I would give 5 stars for the people working for this company to this day as they all couldn't be nicer. However the last service was a bit off. The main service tech brought an apprentice. I get that but when the newbie was told to open up the panel to my furnace he yanked and pulled and I thought he was going to damage it. Finally his supervisor on site stepped in and easily unlatched the front panel for service. Scary to watch but happy I did. And, after this service there was an issue so had to pay another charge for someone else to come out to fix something. I was told something wasn't done correctly during that recent service. I got charged a diagnostic fee plus the service call to fix the issue. Brent stood by his service, charges for service were very reasonable and most important, never needed him to come back to fix something he did as his work was always amazing. read more

A friend who manages many properties in the area told me to call this company about system upgrades. When I was having some issues with my heating during cold weather, I needed an emergency visit on a Saturday. Owner is honest, easy to communicate with, and had an employee show up who was a young guy but knowledgeable and troubleshooted the problem to a smart thermostat that was having issues. Didn't even try to sell me on installing a new thermostat understanding that I was comfortable going and buying something to do that myself. Ended up replacing the thermostat and system works again fine. He also took pictures and measured several spots as I had discussed the potential for upgrading my system at some point and wanted thoughts there to save from having to come back out again. read more

After having 6 different appointments with HVAC installers I decided on PMG Mechanical to install a Ductless Mini Split System for my home. The gentlemen who did the work were polished professionals that came extremely prepared. They placed cloth runner down traveling to each of the heat pumps to the outside so they would not track in dirt. They had a canopy prepared to work in the rain. Hell, they even took the boxes away with them AND it was garbage day!! This is an honest, affordable, straight shooting, quality driven, family focused business that will outlast both you and me. PMG Mechanical Inc - Love my new heat pump system!!! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

Our furnace recently stopped working, and it's February, so it needed to be fixed asap. We decided to go with PMG because they had serviced our furnace before we purchased our house a couple years ago. They were punctual and quoted us $400 for the repair and labor, but the tech kept saying that he isn't the one that does the invoices. That should have been a red flag. He replaced the part in our furnace and got it running in less than an hour. Everything was fantastic until we got the invoice for the work done: $700. Part of this was from marking up a part $150 above what they quoted us for the part. They also charged $50 just to come to my house and called it a travel fee. (Travel fees should be no more than $0.51/mile. The tech did not drive 50 miles both ways to come to my house from Kent.) Additionally, the tech left all his garbage next to my furnace and didn't clean up after himself. This invoice took us by surprise to say the least because we were quoted roughly $300 less than what we were billed. I hate dishonesty and I really dislike it when businesses swindle people as a matter of principle. In reading some other reviews, that looks to be this company's MO. I will NEVER use this company again. Their business practices are shady to say the least. read more

Brent and his team are 100% top notch. When you call PMG, the owner of the company answers the phone right away and personally dispatches his team. 10 years ago, PMG performed the ductwork for a manager remodel. When our furnace went out recently, I called PMG and the instantly recognized me from years back. A knowledgeable and courteous tech was at our house that afternoon, and the issue was resolved a day later due to needing parts. Whereas the competition would have likely tried to sell us a new furnace install for $10K, PMG diagnosed the issue as a faulty $90 pressure switch and had us up and running in less than 24 hours. Cannot recommend Brent's team at PMG highly enough. read more

a No-Show twice. No "I'm running late" call or anything. Excuses were lame. Company is a bad joke.

I contacted Brent based on a recommendation from the community for a fireplace repair job. He was quick to schedule an appointment. The first visit uncovered that the part I had purchased wasn't the right one, so it needed a second trip. This time a different tech was sent and he took a while to figure things out. The previous tech had informed me that given the right part it should be another 30 min job to finish. They charge by the hour, so it quickly adds up. The second tech finally installed everything (took him 3 hours to finish the job). He found an additional defect with another component. When he left, there was a leak and the entire living room had a smell. I turned off the gas supply to the fireplace just as a precaution. I had to schedule a third visit and luckily the same tech came out and acknowledged they had messed up from the previous visit. Finally everything got sorted out. Next I find the biggest surprise in my mailbox (who sends invoices via mail these days). I was slapped with a 900+ bill to settle. I kept Brent in the loop during this time via email trail, he doesn't respond promptly to email -- calling him his better. His curt response was "our invoices are final when initiated". He also bluntly told me that I am not making any sense and wasn't willing to compromise. I was willing to meet in the middle and not have him charge for the third trip as it purely a fault on behalf of the tech and cut some slack on the second visit as he took longer than expected to do the job. Although his tech folks were easy to deal with and professional for the most part, I have an issue with how Brent treats customers. Ultimately, he told me that we will never be able to meet in the middle and sent a tech to come pick up the parts. Rather graciously, he didn't charge me a dime -- so all in all that was a fair deal except for the time wasted on both sides. The issue I have is with the customer service or disservice rather. Please listen to customer feedback. Brent is likely doing well in terms of his business with the entire world couped up at home but don't get carried away and forget the core values that will keep your business sustainable - treat your customers well and listen, don't dismiss their feedback condescendingly. read more

PMG Mechanical was hired by my leasing agent to replace my hot water tank. They were able to schedule me in quickly and I have no complaints about the final installation. The low rating stems from what I found when I returned home. My kitchen and dining room were in disarray. There was a large water spot on the ceiling and on the carpet, everything on my counter top had been moved and wet paper items were tossed on my wood dining room table. For reference, the hot water tank is located on the floor directly above the dining room. Moving up a floor, I found all my closets open & the dryer full of semi-wet towels. Obviously there had been a flood, but I never received a phone call from Brent (the owner) or the crew. To me this inexcusable and unprofessional. They simply used my towels, sort of cleaned up and left. I called and left 2 messages, but it took Brent 3 days to return my call and there was no apology. He told me they had cleaned up the water, so no call was necessary. Water leaked in my home, damage was done, items ruined, but a phone call was not warranted. I cannot fathom treating a customer this way, walking away from a job as if nothing happened, without informing the customer, apologizing and discussing steps needed to make it right. I cannot sing the praises of PMG Mechanical enough! We recently installed a pizza oven in our kitchen, requiring a new (specialty) venting system and new gas line. I searched all over the internet and asked friends for referrals for HVAC companies. Nobody would install a product they didn't sell and some didn't even return my calls. In desperation, I posted a plea for an HVAC company on Facebook and an old high school friend came through referring me to his "Uncle Brent" at PMG Mechanical. Brent and his company are extraordinary on all levels - in their punctuality, responsiveness, knowledge, can-do attitude, honesty, integrity and quality of work. I wish we had more projects for these guys to work on because we miss having them around and working with them. They are that good. read more

This work was done by another guy, not Brent. He was a nice guy, however, he made a HUGE mistake. When I got home and opened the garage I can smell the gas has filled the whole garage so I called him to find out if this is normal and he told him yes and gave an explanation that he had to air out the new tank so a little smell of gas is normal. So I went back upstairs and the leave the garage door open but when I came back an hour later to check that strong smell of gas was still there so I started to approach the water heater to see I could figure out if there is a leak somewhere and I was right, I can feel a little air coming out for the new hose that he installed so I quickly call him back, told him the issue and then he did agree to come back to fix the issue right away. Anyway, I want to write a review about this work because I just feel that if you work in this line of profession you should never make this kind of mistake, this is a huge mistake that can easily resulted in huge disaster. And what is funny is that after I reported this issue to Brent (I believe he is the owner) he told me that a little leak is no big deal, it would take a huge pressure before something could happen, really! I've used PMG for several years on multiple projects. They've always been extremely honest and guaranteed their work. When our furnace went out, I called a couple of firms. One of the larger firms (you've seen the commercials) told me that I needed not only a new furnace but that our A/C unit was no longer operable. Brent laughed when I told him this and within 2 days had someone there to install a new furnace - it cost less than 1/2 the price. I later had an issue (not related to their work); and, rather than send a tech out, Brent walked me through what to do over the phone to resolve the problem.
