I was looking for a new furnace and A/C installation and I came across Essential Heating and Air. Their Yelp reviews were mixed, but their Google reviews were favorable, so I gave them a call. Christian came out and took a look at our space and gave us a quote and explained everything thoroughly. He's a natural born salesperson, but I felt he knew what he was talking about and I was sold. The installers came out the very next day. The two guys were great. They worked hard from early morning to late afternoon but when they left, everything was in great shape. The only issue I had with the company was a little difficulty in communications. I had received emails from one of their employees about the permits pulled for the installation, and when I went to follow up with that employee, I never heard back. I tried 2-3 times and texted my rep, but never heard back. I finally managed to get ahold of someone, and both inspectors eventually made it and signed off. One of the inspectors was so impressed with their work that he asked who had done it so he could reach out to them for some work at his own home! Overall I think we got a great system at a fair price. Probably a little more than we originally wanted to spend, but when doesn't that seem to be the case these days? I'd recommend these guys to everyone based on my experience. read more

They came out and installed my new furnace and AC. They had to come back and finish because they forgot to install vents in the attic. So days pass and I look around the unit and they left all kinds of trash and residue, I think that's total BS 15k and you can't pick up the trash you left. Pissed is an understatement . read more

Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We purchased a heat pump/AC unit from them and have experienced nothing but frustration since. It started when their "professional" installation crew cut our sprinkler line. The unit they installed has been hard to find the sweet spot for temperature control. We are always either too hot or too cold and our basement is an icebox. Despite having a technician come out to troubleshoot it, it's not any better. We continue to experience the same issues. We were told by their business manager they'd be reimbursing us for the costs to repair our sprinkler line. Do you think that's happened? That was over a month ago. Despite follow up emails, again crickets. It's so disappointing. If I could do it all over again, I would not ever do business with them, and I would encourage anyone else to think twice before they do too. read more

Anton's bid came in considerably lower than others I had received and, what's more, he was willing to call the local PUD to determine exactly which furnace and heat pump combo would qualify for a sizable rebate. Even though the install couldn't happen until October due to delays in approving the rebate, Essential still honored the two August discounts offered in their initial bid. Once scheduled, Sergey and his assistant arrived at the site early, worked diligently, and did an efficient and excellent job installing the new units, cleaning up afterwards and hauling away the old furnace and heat pump for no additional charge. All in all, this was a great experience and I highly recommend this company - but, before getting bids from anyone, be sure to check with your local public utility to determine what systems may qualify for rebates or discounts. Installed a mini-split heat pump in our home, but they were *impossible* to reach by phone (ring and ring, no answer, no voicemail) to come back and repair a problem that THEY identified during the install, saying "We'll send someone back to take care of that unit, it's not working so don't use it until it's fixed." Only by pretending to be a new customer and talking to sales were we able to persuade someone to come and repair the unit after several months. read more

From the misleading ads on social media that only give you a quote of about 50% of the total cost of your air-conditioning unit/installation, to not letting you know you need to have a minimum 650 credit score in order to qualify for financing for their air-conditioning units... The "project manager" came to my home and told me he wasn't a sales guy, when I let him know what their finance company said he went to full sales mode stating "I've seen them get people done with a lower credit score than needed". Do not submit your interest in response to their ads for a quote. As soon as I hit submit from their ad, they started spamming me. Text messages, emails, phone calls, and voicemails...all at the same time. It irritated me, so I did not call them back. They continued the barrage of spam for two weeks before I finally told the to f'off and blocked them. There is customer service to be helpful, but it is another thing to constantly harass would be customers. read more

From the estimate to installation everything was very professional. Ruben came out and gave us an estimate. It was our third estimate and they beat the prices of both our other estimates. They actually were a lot less expensive for a more powerful Mitsubishi unit that another company quoted us. The two installers were friendly and took their time to make sure everything was done right. The electrician showed me everything he did and the installers also walked me through the whole job and how my Thermostat worked. Feeling frustrated by things promised but not delivered. For example, they said the unit would have a smart thermostat which would work by wi-fi. It doesn't, and if I want it to, it will cost me $450. Also having trouble with the water heater they installed and they informed me "We don't do a lot of water heaters and the guy we had who knew about them doesn't work for us anymore." Verry Impressed! Outstanding customer service. My in-laws had a problem with the furnace and the service technician found the problem quickly. After replacing a part, a problem occurred, and the service technician spent a couple of hours troubleshooting the problem. After some time, it was found that the new part was defective. The Service technician resolved the issue and explained what happened. Even after working a few hours the service technician only charged the original amount and no extra for time spent resolving the issue. Not every company would admit that the problem was a faulty part that they replaced. Some might say that they fixed the problem and charge for all of the hours and perhaps more. It's nice to see an honest company that puts the customers first! Sadly, it's not always the case these days. As many know the service industry is not the best these days. Companies have high overhead and regulations to follow and that makes some put the cost to the customer. The cost was as better than expected given how services have become very costly over the last few years. We give this company 5 stars as they earned it! read more

False Advertising. Misleading If they didn't install your mini split - they won't service a mini split system. So with buying a new house, they won't even look at it. The website is very detailed, but lots of false advertising by not stating to get service of existing equipment, you had to have bought it from them. read more

I was skeptical of sales as I had worked with AAA/SWP and know the tactics. Daniel came, listened to what I wanted and didn't try to sell me what I didn't want. He was honest, unlike the other company, he told me my furnace was fine (other told me it needed replaced), the price was half the other company for a brand and warranty I respect. The guys came as he did, at time given (rare). The men were respectful and efficient (sorry, bad with names, but thanks, guys) installed new air conditioner in a day. Extremely trustworthy and professional. A couple weeks ago my heater stopped working, I called a well known company to fix my furnace. After a few hours, I was told the igniter was bad, then a list of other things that needed to be fixed and an option to replace my furnace altogether. I was quoted $5k to fix everything, $450 to replace just the igniter and $12k to replace the furnace. I went with just replacing the igniter. I was told I need a new furnace and the tech/salesperson kept pressuring me to get the new furnace. I decided to get a second opinion. After a few days since the igniter was changed, my heater went out again. I yelped furnace repair and put in a request with different companies. Essential Heating & Air were the first to reply and the quickest to make it out to me. Got a diagnostic that my pressure sensor was building up and then we requested a new furnace quote and they quoted us half of what we were quoted by another company. The tech fixed the pressure for now and we paid half up front to get our new furnace installed 3 days later. The techs came on time and quickly got our new furnace up and running with little interruption. It took about 3 hours for them to remove our old furnace and install the new one. Completely satisfied and thankful I got a second opinion. We will continue to use Essential Heat & Air in the future for all our Heating & Air needs. read more

I was initially requested for Tune-Up check and the people who came convinced me that my AC and furnace are old and they need to be fixed for about $2700(though they are working fine). Then I let them came and do estimation for replacement. The person provided two options for me one is replace furnace and AC which will be roughly $14000 or I could do heat pump for $17000 and I could get $3000 rebate. I chose second option. Now after 5 month of installation, I have called them multiple times regarding how I could get my rebate. When I call someone told they would help me apply the rebate. So I waited and waited. Every time I call they say they will call me back and I finally got reached out today. The technician told that I need to apply the rebate myself now. I tried to ask what should I do, but he is super unresponsive. I looked online and I don't know how to apply it. Plus they told I could get $3000 rebate, but I don't see a $3000 rebate on PSE. I am not even sure if I could get the rebate now. I feel I am scammed. read more
