After being inundated with burgers, I felt like something a little lighter/healthier was in order. AMBIANCE - just off the main strip of downtown Rapid City you'll find this cafe. Cafe is spacious and clean, and is connected to a brewery where, if you're inclined to do so, they will bring your food over to you while you sit there. The Brewery has board games you can play at your table and a variety of pinball machines. SERVICE - service was....ok. I was asking the guy about one of the toppings on the sandwich and he looked at me like I was an alien. Maybe it was his first day? Not sure. He was nice, but not as knowledgeable as you might like for someone working the register. MENU - they had a pretty good mix of sandwiches (hot and cold), and also had a few sides. I also saw they had some homemade lemonades and such, which I was tempted to try, but did not end up trying instead. FOOD - my wife and mother got the badlands sandwich which had roasted sirloin mushrooms, swiss and and side of horeradish mayo. My mom and I both did the rapid city which kind of seemed like a philly cheesesteak sandwich (grilled beef, onions, peppers, jalapenos, smoked gouda with a lime cilantro), while my kids rocked the pastrami. The sandwiches were a pretty good size (at almost $20 a piece, they better be). My kids thought the pastrami was good and after days of burgers, it was a nice change up. My wife liked her sandwich, which was mostly carried by the horseradish mayo. My mom and I thought our sandwiches were just...ok. The meat needed salt, and the lime cilantro was not very flavorful. I ended up stealing some of my wife's horseradish mayo which helped, but just a bit. OVERALL - good not great. Wish the meat was a little more flavorful and the food came out a bit quicker (there was only one order ahead of us and it took a good 20-30 minutes to get our food). Not sure I'd come back. They constantly check in on you, and provide a very positive environment, 10/10 service. The interior is fun, they have plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, there are random climbing decor, trinkets, paintings, and it's just a fun atmosphere. We ordered the fish and chips, fried green beans, pub sandwich with smashed potatoes and bread pudding. The fish was perfectly battered, it was crispy, light and the sauce they served with it was perfect. We absolutely loved the fried green beans, they were crispy and tasted amazing with their housemade garlic parmesan and spicy ukranian sauce. The spicy ukranian is a slightly tangy and creamy sauce. The pub sandwich had a good crunch from the citrus slaw, good tang from the pepperoncini and the bread was so soft. They also have 1990 rootbeer and it is amazing. The real star of the show was the bread pudding. I have never really been a fan of bread pudding but this one is a must. It is warm, soft, and just the perfect texture. The top is sugary with a little crunch and topped with whipped cream. They don't put nuts or raisins. I absolutely loved it. Definitely will be back for the amazing service, rootbeer, fried green beans and of course the bread pudding!

Glad we did Our hostess wasn't as friendly as I'd have liked but everyone has an off day. Our server was attentive and kept us feeling important. Food. The ribeye was tender and flavorful. There was a fair amount of fat but ribeye does. The chili is very good and pairs well with the red potato smashers. The Cuban was also a good choice. My wife loved it as did my son who had to finish it for her. Portions are on point with the price. No complaints. We sat outdoors and other than the flys which no real way to stop them it was a nice setting. This stop was on a long distance family vacation and was on our highlights.

My gluten loving husband and I both had hamburgers and he commented how well the GF homemade hamburger bun tasted. It was a great burger. Mine had bacon on it and the bacon was super thick. It seemed to be just as thick as the patty. SO TASTY. . I also ordered a loaf of bread to go and it is a magnificent loaf of gluten-free bread. Close your eyes and imagine the smell of homemade bread along with melted butter on top, Mmmmm, hard to beat. It would almost be worth the move! The person who helped me was extremely helpful. They use a lot of almond flour and I'm allergic to nuts so she helped me find things I could have. Such a WONDERFUL find!

The food was so bad couldn't even eat it The eggs were hard and inedible, I asked for over medium and got hard. The French Toast was so dry could hardly swallow kept having to use more syrup. No compensation offered for eggs that were not edible. Get to register and total was $27 for a breakfast that I couldn't even eat. $17 for French toast and then was told eggs were extra. Again no compensation offered to reduce billing. Biggest rip off and worst breakfast i have ever had. Definitely will.not recommend or eat there again. Service was terrible as well. Had breakfast served but had to ask for silver ware. If this is normal they won't be around for long which is no loss
