I called for a quote, spoke with Betsy, she is fantastic. That unfortunately is where it ended, they came out & had no interest in doing my pool remodel. I do have a vision of what I want, when I explained what I would like to achieve & what is his opinion of the project, he was very dismissive. I understand what I am asking is a large project, I am not married to the exact vision & asked for input about how we can get there. My idea is not traditional & challenging, but not unattainable. Had our pool done with quartz it never looked good and I did call to ask about certain stains and they told me it would eventually fade. They were really quick to answer any questions and easy to communicate with before work was done. Once you call them for a concern or question they are not there for the customer. I would not recommend doing business with Prado & Sons. We paid for a full interior remodel, new decking, new tile, salt conversion, etc. Nearly everything they did was not up to par, and the company refuses to fix it. I think our pool looks worse than it did before. There's plaster smears on the decking and on the tile. The interior looks like it's been aged several years from discoloration and stains.... parts of the deck is chipped off... there's a footprint in the concrete from when one of the workers stepped on it before the concrete was fully cured... the handrails they installed are not level or aligned properly so it just looks wonky. I'm not even sure if the plumbing was done correctly or not, because I got a second opinion from another company and they said we should rip it out and start over... On top of this they did not install the electrical for the salt generator, so what we paid for is non functional at the moment. Seems they forgot to add the electrical into the bid and now they are wanting almost double the cost to install it. On top of this we don't have a pool light or a diving board anymore... which were removed because they said they were not up to code... so overall wish we would have never done business with them. Very sloppy work and extremely frustrating. read more

The quote came in right in the middle. I found other salesmen to be pushy - telling me what I wanted. Cam was great - not pushy and very informative. The whole process has been wonderful. Vanessa in the office has been very helpful with the scheduling. They had no problem keeping the set schedule. The tile guy was efficient and knew what he was doing - very nice job. They just did the interior (pebble tech) today, the crew that showed up worked great together, the pool looks amazing and they cleaned up after themselves. People probably aren't looking too often on Yelp for pool people, but here's my review. We hired another builder to update our pool and Prado & Sons were the sub-contractors. Normally we wouldn't even know who the subs were but we had some issues with our pool. The first time around we had some blotchy white stains and small concrete pebbles that didn't mix well with the Pebble-Tec. After some serious discussions with our remodeler, Prado & Sons, and the Pebble-Tec Company based here in Scottsdale, we had a do-over. Customer service this second time around could not have been better. Lots of information, calls on time, service when they said they'd be here, and a pool that is as beautiful as can be. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again, but I'd be pro-active about communication. Ryan - you're the best! read more

100% Professional! We recently had our 15,000 gallon play pool completely re-done. New tile, new filter system, new deck ... and added a waterfall. We took bids from 4 different companies and are so glad we decided on Prado and Sons. Cam came out to bid the job. His knowledge and expertise were evident. He did everything we asked and more. The bid was fair and consistent with 3 other companies. Vanessa was our restoration consultant. She kept in constant communication with scheduling and information about each step in the process. First impressions are extremely important. Since we couldnt get an appointment for a quote on the weekend, I left work early so we could meet at 4:00 at my house. 4:00 came and went, but I waited a while knowing traffic might be bad. At 4:15, I called. Cam didnt seem to know who I was when I told him my name. Then he checked his notes and remembered. He had forgotten to transfer my appointment from his notes to his schedule. I reminded him that I took off work to meet and it was a pretty big deal. No apology, he just asked if I can do it Friday morning. I reminded him that I work. He asked when is a good time for me... I said "now was a good time". I decided based on the 1st impression, this job is too important to have someone forgetting to show up, so I'm not calling back. I'm floored, because my belief is to get a job, you show your best work and make a good impression. I guess they don't believe that here. My buddy is building a pool and had Prado & Son on his list to get quotes from. I shared my first experience with him. Hope they show up for him if he calls them. read more

While the original quote and service was pretty good trying to get them to address any warranty or quality issues after the resurfacing was difficult and they fought back on any of my concerns saying I was wrong and denying responsibility. Very disappointing as they were referred to me. I will not be referring them to others. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this company. They are thorough, competent, helpful people. I redid a pool in Sun City. I had the stucco removed and replaced it with smooth pebble, and new tile. I could not be happier. I made a few changes during the process and that never presented a problem to them. Vanessa is a great person to talk to about any questions and prices. When I called them, they came out and gave me an estimate that day, versus another pool business that wanted me to come to their office. I picked out my tiles and finish that day, had an estimate in hand. The work was finished in a very timely manner, and Vanessa kept me apprised of the time line. read more

I just had my pool redone from plaster to mini pebble (with new tile) and this company is fantastic. They always showed up on time and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I got 3 bids on the job for the exact same thing and their pricing was definitely the best. Beat the other 2 by $500 and $1000 respectively for the same thing. Because of this I was able to add a dedicated suction line and still be within budget. They did not try to up-sell me on things I didn't need/want. Their crews are very courteous and did a spectacular job cleaning up each time they did something. It was fascinating to watch them install the pebble. Thank you Prado & Sons. After spending $11K on a pool remodel, we had a problem with the water-fill line they installed. I reached out to Prado & Sons to see what our options were to get it repaired. Response: too bad! They said our warranty just ran out - less than 3 months ago - and we were out of luck. They would do nothing to stand behind the work they did. Really. We just spent $1,000 on our water bill because they put in a line that should have lasted longer, but it leaked. Sure legally they owe us nothing, but they don't care about customer service. We had three estimates to redo our pool and Prado came in low. One of their competitors referred to them as a "Mom and Pop outfit" and that couldn't have been farther from the case. Crews arrived every day on time, worked hard and cleaned up every day. The plaster was jackhammered out and replaced with pebblesheen, and new tiles were set. The result is a brand new pool. The whole experience was fascinating to watch and everything happened that was promised. I also called after each step to see what was next and the scheduler was always organized and knew when each crew was coming. Excellent work and very professional. Start to finish was just over two weeks. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Excellent Job! This company is very professional from start to finish. We just had a our plaster pool re-done with pebble tech, the mini pebble. They always called ahead to let us know when they would be here which was great! It took 3 days of actual work. First day jack hammered old plaster, then came back and did the finish sprayed the pebble tech, then came back and acid washed it. Then we filled it up. They came back to check the water and adjust the chemicals. All in all they completed it in about a week. They are busy with other clients I am sure! We have an average size pool, and the total cost was about $4,000, which was below every other place we called for an estimate! Some estimates were close to $6,000! It is beautiful! I really appreciate how professional they all were,very neat work, fantastic price. I even got a call a week later from the office to make sure we were happy with the new pool, how nice is that?
