I've been using Powerstride batteries for many years, usually purchasing them in Livermore. I believe they are one of the highest quality lead batteries one can buy. The place I was buying them at in Livermore stopped carrying them. When I recently called Powerstride in Hayward I was told I could get the two batteries I needed delivered to my home in San Ramon. All I was charged was an extra $2 per battery. Brian delivered them without a hitch and will be returning on another day to pick up my old Powerstride cores. I've been dealing with Jeromy for about 6 years. I've had nothing but exceptional service from Power Stride, Jeromy, and Angel. The batteries I've gotten from them have outlasted any others I've bought, including the Deka batteries I'm going to replace today after only 3 years of service. (Bought the dekas on the road when factory batteries failed, had no choice) The golf cart batteries I got from Power Stride are on year 5 and still stong. Even after my new boat purchase and the Optima batteries that were in it, one went bad, and Jeromy helped me with Optima warranty even when Optima wanted to fight over a two week old battery. I have a gas transport trucking company and we have been buying batteries here for some time. Recently, I bought a battery for my personal Vehicle. Battery died after 2 weeks and I took it to get a warranty exchange. Jeremy in the back told me he had to keep it over night to (re-charge) the battery. He said "it's our policy" I called back the next day and he changed his story to "sorry sir I had to take it off the charger last night and will have to charge it again tonight to see if it comes back up" I automatically knew he was being dishonest as anyone in the automotive industry knows if a battery is that far gone there's no getting the voltage back up no matter what charger you use. In fact he told me the charger they used in it was from the 1960's.... Yeah that's gonna fix it. I had to beg him to do a warranty on the battery and he told me well once we do it under warranty your next battery cannot be replaced. (The good ol' battery company finesse) He then said he would hold another battery for me to pick up on Monday because I am driving from 45 min away. I get there today to pick it up and see Jeremy at the back door. He says hello and pushes me off to angel (another dry personality employee) Jeremy says "angel we have a customer" he couldent just say hey, this guy has a battery on hold this is where it is. Instead he ran off to lunch. Angel then told me "we'll I don't know where it is, you'll have to come back another time. Jeremy is on lunch..." (The guy could have picked up the phone right in front of him and called Jeremy but that would've been too much to ask) I even said "you can't just go look?" I told angel as someone working in the automotive industry I know a dishonest person when I see one. It was obvious they wanted to play games and that's why big Jeremy in the back split instead of helping me. I guess his lunch break was too important. I'm spending time writing this to tell anyone else with a company or fleet to not waste your time with these people. They have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. As frustrating as it is this is just another company that has lost touch with how to handle the public. They don't care, I was treated like I was lucky to be helped. Maybe if I mentioned how much money I spend on batteries for our fleet they would've treated me better but that's not how it should be in my opinion. If my employees treated a customer this bad i would let them both go on the spot. It's stale personalities like Jeremy and angel that drive customers away. Look for batteries anywhere else but here. I have been by this location a few times and lately I have not been impressed. When Mike ran the shop, it was better, prices were fair and recycling old batteries was reasonably priced. Now that Todd runs the shop, recycled batteries now return less than half of the price that you would get from Mike. When I went to purchase batteries that I normally pickup from this place, the prices jumped over $4 per battery. I know they are making money off of the recycled batteries yet Todd wants to rip you off in any way he can. He has caused my business and reliability to move elsewhere. I would not recommend this company, especially if Todd is pricing the batteries. Other battery retailers will give you a better price. Especially when Todd was selling me a battery at $17 a piece and the competitor I moved to is charging me $11. That is a huge difference when I am purchasing a dozen of these batteries at a time. I saved $72 for every dozen batteries I purchased through my new source and the quality is no different. SHOP ELSEWHERE, YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF AT POWERSTRIDE OF CORONA! What a hidden gem this place is. Today was my second time doing business with Powerstride Battery. I am a local tournament fishing pro who has the need for several deep cycle, reliable batteries for my boat. Nothing worse than being stuck on desolate desert lakes such as lake Mead with a bad battery. This place is next to the 91 freeway in Corona right off at Lincoln Ave. They have a huge selection of batteries from nearly every maker, however, they do not sell any garbage batteries. They fit nearly every car, RV, Marine and even airline applications. Further, their prices were very competitive. Their service was quick, courteous and extremely professional. They seemed to really know their stuff. I'm glad they are so close. I highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys! read more

Powerstride Battery saved me when I was planning a trip to Vegas. My battery died and I needed to get a battery fast. But I didn't want a regular run-of-the-mill battery since I had a sound system and other things hooked up in my Mazda that required a lot of juice. I read on some of the Mazda forums that Powerstride has some great batteries for my needs. I called the location and they informed me that they were closing at 5 p.m. and it was already 4:45 when I called. My navigation said it would take me half an hour to get there, but the gentleman said that he would stay open until I get there so I would be able to get my battery and be ready to leave for Vegas in the morning. He was a man of his word and was there when I got there at around 5:20 pm. He sold me the exact battery that I needed, even helped me to install it, and I was on my way. I highly recommend these batteries especially if you have a high voltage setup in your car such as a sound system and/or multimedia.I recommended them to many friends over the past years. read more

Ive done business with this place for many years, always received good care and most importantly prompt care! Probably close to 50 batteries between rec.Toys, cars, trucks, and Tractors. Mike the shop Guy was always a pleasure to do business with. I wish I could say the same as of late but that would be a lie. New Shop guy is Incompetent. Last batteries went dead I called shop and was told they need 2-3 days to test batteries, who has time like that to wait for an answer in buisness? I have since bought new Batteries from shop much closer to my home. I went to powerstride 10 years after moving out of Corona area out of loyalty, I still brought my old batteries in, to be pro-rated which they have had for 4 business days now, I called this morning and was told they have to go back on charge as they were completely dead probably due to neglect they have informed me, you know a drain on the battery most likely? Keep in mind its a tractor and has a night switch that gets turned off every night! Heres a possibility, the batteries you sell as heavy duty and made for this application could have been defective! Be cautious their always nice when selling, but its the service and warranty that can bite you in the ass! Done with this place. read more
