I purchased a refrigerator from Little John's Appliances in 2022 with a 90-day warranty. Freezer failed within 10-months of operation. Called Little John's, knowing the refrigerator was out of warranty and expecting to pay for the repair. They were quick to respond and I paid the $150.00 dollar repair job. Less than 3-months later, freezer fails again. Called back to see what they can do for me and was treated very rudely and was told that, "they do not warranty their repairs and maybe I should call somewhere else, as they don't do things for free." First off, I never asked for them to do the job for free; I was very polite about the whole thing considering. I did however expect some discount, as I just had them out to make the same repair to the freezer. In my opinion, this is extremely poor business practice and a great way to lose repeat and referral business. Original cost of the refrigerator was 350.00 and repair was 150.00. Within a year, the product Little John's sold and repaired failed twice; when you are unwilling to take any responsibility and help out a repeat customer, not only do you lose that customer, but you will then lose additional business when potential customers see what type of business you run with reviews such as these. In business, sometimes you have to make exceptions and take care of your customers when things don't go right, otherwise Karma will come back to you. If you need to purchase an inexpensive appliance or have one repaired, with some type of guarantee, avoid this business, as they are unprofessional and unethical at best. read more

Amazing service! The only place that was open past 5 that helped me right away. Fridge was no longer keeping items cold and freezer items were beginning to thaw out. I called SIX different places and the soonest they could get someone over would have been between 1 and five THE NEXT DAY. Called Little John's and the guy on the phone took my info and said that he'd call his fridge guy to see if he was in the area. Forty minutes later, guy was at my door. Quick, efficient, friendly service. The guy predominately spoke Spanish, which I do too, which made communication easier. Man said the fan wasn't working and fixed it in 10 minutes. This place is great. They have a sign that says "parking in rear"... go to the alley behind the business. Anyway, I was recommended to this place by a family member and I was not disappointed. Appliances can be expensive, but not here! These guys refurbish and sell great used condition stuff. I've bought 2 refrigerators from them (because we have a lot of people in our apartment and we need 2). Each time it's fast and friendly. Free delivery on most things I think (I got free delivery on both fridges). And they take old appliances away for free. And come on, free delivery? Who does that? Tip the guy! What a great business. After calling a few places early yesterday afternoon, and being told "we don't service your area" (and most of these places were within a 10 mile radius), I called Little John Appliances. Edson answered the phone right away and was extremely pleasant. I asked if they did refrigerator repair and do you also service South Fontana. YES to both!! YAY! What really surprised me was that I was going to get service on the same day. Juan (Little John) showed up within two hours and although my service took a bit longer than I think either of us were expecting (as my refrigerator is 20 + years old, he had to go purchase parts), the job was done to perfection and cost a whole lot less than having to buy a new refrigerator. I am so very pleased with the service provided. We also discussed my air conditioner and when it was last serviced. Uggghh We've lived here for 27 years and it's never been serviced. After quoting a very reasonable price for checking the freon, changing the filter and testing the vents, Juan performed the necessary service(s) and made sure everything was working properly and as I've had issues with the air conditioner not cooling to my satisfaction, he also gave me pointers on how I can improve the effectiveness. AND, the work done came in less than originally quoted!!! What a fabulous day for me! Love this place! Purchased a washer & dryer there for $300 and never had a problem! Free delivery and installation. I also bought a fridge for $200 and they even went out of their normal delivery area for me. It started making a loud noise almost two months later, and I called them up and they came the next day to fix it for no charge! It's been running without a problem for almost two years now. Bought a refrigerator from them because the place we just moved into had none. Everything was fine until it was delivered later on. After we cleaned it and placed groceries in it, we started noticing small roaches coming from the fridge. I never seen any roaches anywhere prior to the refrigerator being delivered. We called them the next day to complain about the problem. They said the best they could do is pick it up and fumigate it. After picking it up and fumigating it(or so claimed) and redelivering, the same problems continued. Frustrated, we ended up throwing the fridge out and buying a new one. Problem solved haven't seen a roach since. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Not worth the headache. read more
