I set up an appointment by phone, at which time their pricing structure was explained clearly. (Their diagnostic fee was 2/3 the cost of what Sears charges, with the total cost of repair less than half of what I paid to have the same repair made two years ago.) Tommy, the technician, was on-time and efficient, both clear and thorough in explaining what caused the problem and how it would be corrected. Luckily we were able to get KW Appliance and Lori coordinated the appointment and even made sure we were happy with the day that was automatically assigned by Whirlpool. Was told part would be in within 3 to 5 days , it turned out they meant 3+5 days. They called ahead using a blocked number, which I usually don't answer. The repairman was polite but should have taken a shower. As for the repairs they were done but accumulative damage to the wash machine was not addressed. I Contacted them since I just purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator on Sunday and it seems not to be cooling properly. The lady that answered was rude and told me that they no longer contract with Frigidaire since they don't pay them enough. Called for service of a leaking washing machine on recommendation from Taylor's Appliances. No fee for a service call was quoted at the time that I scheduled the appointment. Repairman came out for a couple of minutes, said my drain was clogged, and left. Charged me $65. I think it's ridiculous that I wasn't told about the fee up front. $65 for two minutes! They should really be telling people they charge that much BEFORE the appointment is scheduled. It's VERY frustrating. read more

The best thing I did was to call this KW. I am in Buffalo. I purchased a used stove from a private person. When we went to look at it, it all worked fine. That was until we hired movers to move it to our home. The best we can figure is that maybe when they unhooked it, something broke, or maybe the movers were not careful. When going to hook it up, the mover charged extra because he had to come back another day as hardware stores were no longer open for parts, and even then he tried to hook it up the following day, and said he still smelled gas and it needed another part, then he wanted more money and we worried if we would have enough for him and a part. Days went by with no way to cook and leaving us in absolute frustration, worry and close to broke. Finally I called KW, this guy had it hooked up, knew what part we needed, and came back with the part. He did not only not charge extra, but did not even charge me for the part. Called Whirlpool to schedule a service appointment. They set my date and gave me the contact info for the repair company, KW Service. The day before my scheduled appointment I had missed a phone call from KW 30 minutes prior to their closing time. Due to this I wasn't able to reach anyone until the next day (my scheduled service day). The lady who answered the phone informed me that since I didn't answer my phone yesterday, they would not be servicing my washer since they don't do 'same day service'. This made no sense to me since my appointment had been scheduled, but I just went with it and rescheduled for Friday afternoon. They were unable to repair my machine day of and said they'd have to order the part and would call me back Monday to schedule a return. Never received a call Monday so I called them on Tuesday and left a message since it went to voicemail. 30 minutes prior to closing I received a call letting me know the part was in. I informed her that we ended up just buying a new washer. Her tone changed quickly and she was berating me for not informing her of this prior to the order being placed. They are a company and can work with their supplier to return the item, so I really don't see what the big deal is. Customer service skills need to be improved slightly. read more

I had an appointment scheduled with them through my Whirlpool warranty to get my washer fixed. I waited a week for them to come and then they didn't show up and they never called or anything! I tried to call them several times and was never able to get hold of them or leave a message because their mailbox is full. Horrible service and I will never use them again. I wish I could be as positive as the five other reviews but I would caution anyone using this company. The previous reviewers may have had pleasant experience two years + ago, but the technician (Kevin) was unable to repair a brand new $2800 Whirlpool refrigerator on two visits and then when Whirlpool scheduled the third visit for today, the technician never showed up. According to a Whirlpool supervisor, the technician told the Whirlpool service desk, that there was nothing more he could do and that the leak was just a single drip. The technician told us that Whirlpool was not going to fix the leak because it was just a single drop. Single drop or in our case constant leaking inside the new refrigerator is unacceptable!!! 4 months have gone by now. Asking Whirlpool for a more reputable authorized service provider. read more

Beware! K W service said I needed a part to repair my Dishwasher. The part was a spinner located at the top of the washer. Made of plastic, anyways on the initial visit I was charged $45.00 and was told that they would order the part. When the part arrived I received a call to make a scheduled appt. The tech came out installed the Plastic Spinner, which took no more that 5 minutes. They charged me $55.99 for the part, which I thought was outrageous. Now here's the clincher. They also charged me for a second part that wasn't even part of the repair. The price of that part was $22.99. I was charge $35.00 for the labor. The total cost for parts and labor was $119.76. By the way I did some investigating on the internet. The part that they installed was only $11.49. I am trying to get my money back on the part that was never installed. They are not very good at answering the phone and you will get a message to call back later or leave a message. read more

I had an appliance that needed to be repaired through an extended warranty. Unfortunately KW Appliance received the service order. The original problem was fixed. Unfortunately after the first problem was fixed the repair man caused another problem. Still no big deal. They came out again, saw the broken part and ordered it. A different repair man from the same company came out to install the part he said nothing was wrong, kept the part and refused to come back and fix it. Unfortunately my wife and small children were the only ones there since I was at work. The phone calls made were met with short and rude responses. The main issue besides the work not being done is that this company will get paid for not doing any work and have a part that can be sold or used at another site basically for free. I question this companies integrity, customer service, and responsibility to the consumer. This is a small drop in the bucket but why do we purchase extended warranties if we do not receive the customer care and service promised? If you see them run run run!!!! read more
