I scheduled an appointment and Tim arrived on time and determined the probable cause. The part had to be ordered and he came back today to install it. The noise had stopped after his first visit so he removed the back plate and discovered something else he thought was the probable cause so he corrected that and the fridge has been quiet since. I have an LG that was serviced back in 2022 by another company. The compressor was replaced for $600. But then I noticed that my fridge was not as cold as before. So I decided to do research and find someone else to diagnose what was wrong now. Decided to call Tim's Fridge Repair because of the many 5 star reviews from customers. Well now I know why. I was given a timeframe and got a heads up when I was the next visit. Tim arrived and was able to diagnose the problem. Sadly, this is when I found out that I overpaid for the prior service because there should have been NO charge due to a warranty against faulty LG compressors. Wish I called Tim back then. Tim was efficient with his time and had all the parts needed to do the repair. He even gave me a military discount because my husband is a retired Vet!! I messaged Tim's Fridge Repair via Yelp around 9am. My 4-year old LG Refrigerator was not cooling & freezer below the refrigerator was not making ice or getting freezing cold. I already tried unplugging the fridge then vacuumed the vents behind the fridge and vacuumed the condenser coils. When I plugged it back on and waited for almost 2hrs to see if the fridge gets back to working normally, there was still no improvement. Fan at the back next to the condenser coils is working when I plugged it on. Jaydie (who makes the scheduling appointments) reached out to me within 20mins after I requested a quote via Yelp. As per Jaydie, since my LG is still on warranty, I don't have to pay out-of-pocket for the parts and labor service. They will contact LG and get a reimbursement from them. Of course, that was a huge relief. I understand it's a last minute request and they might be busy for a Monday so I was ready to be scheduled within the week. But I am so grateful that JD was able to squeeze me the same day I asked for their repair services after looking through their schedule. I was given a 3-hr time slot (12:30pm-3:30pm). Tim (the repairman) came at 12:30pm and assessed our fridge. As per Tim, the problem is the compressor not working but he told me that he didn't have my fridge's compressor on hand at this time and had to be rescheduled. I was slightly dejected but I understood, so I waited for Jaydie to call me to reschedule. The call came in within 30mins and was told that Tim was on the way back to my house since he got the compressor for my fridge's model. All I could say Tim is a man of few words, but gets the job done quickly. He usually communicated via text when he is on the way, how many minutes it will take him to arrive, and he even texted when he finished his work. He took around 30mins to replace my fridge's compressor. He asked if I want the debris on the floor where he worked on my fridge to be cleaned out, but I told him it's Ok and he didn't have to since I could tell he has to go to his next client. I have no issue vacuuming it. As per Tim, it will take the whole day for my fridge to fully get cool/ice cold. Hence, I'll be waiting for 24hrs to see if my fridge works normally again. Overall, I really appreciate Jaydie's courteous customer service and keeping me in the loop. I also appreciate Tim's reliability, efficiency, and technical expertise.
