PLEASE READ ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEW FIRST as it is ALL TRUE! A lot of people have had bad experiences with this company. I had a Samsung dishwasher checked for the soap dispenser not opening. Albert came for diagnosis and made a bigger problem - stating that the water wand is not turning when the washer is on. Mind you he keeps opening the washer in less than 1 minute stating the wand has not moved. So now I have a motor problem on top of the soap dispenser latch. When he left , we let the washer run and the water wand was working fine. The quote for this bogus motor problem and soap latch is $827 plus the $99 service call fee. Service person came out, had my tenant run a cycle and the washer was working. That was the service call. No solution as to why the washer wasn't working. Had to call another appliance repair person, actually TROUBLESHOOT and told me what parts needed to be replaced and recommended a new washer. Not happy about the new washer, but happy to get a real diagnosis, not just paying for a service call for nothing. Additionally, APX asked what the other people said, then proceeded to want payment either way. I won't use them and I don't recommend them, especially for troubleshooting and diagnostic. This company has had two service people at for a total of four times to fix my basic Whirlpool refrigerator, which is building up frost and subsequently not cooling properly. They charged me $160 for the first visit and replaced the defrost timer. It didn't appear they spent anytime on troubleshooting. In a few days, my fridge was back to frosting over. Same guy came out and swapped out a new timer. Same thing happened. Then he came and tinkered with it a third time. Now he said it was a different part and it would be another $160. I said no way, and he left. Then I called the company and said I was willing to pay the initial service call but wanted them to take back the $90 part that was not the problem. They said I would have to pay a restocking fee and they would call me back. Then they sent a different guy who said the first guy should have also installed a new fuse with the part. I paid another $25. To their credit they didn't charge me for another service call. Now the same thing is happening again, and I'm losing food to spoilage again. I have another call into them to ask them to take back their useless parts and give me a full refund. I'll update with what happens. What I want is a company that will actually diagnose the problem. Four service calls on ice buildup, are you kidding? It's a used fridge and I need to know ahead of time if it's worth fixing. Worst Customer Service Ever!!! my washer wasn't working ... they came on 5/26 charged $99 fee and said it was a draining issue ... he gave me an estimate ... I called back the next day to say let's do it ... I called again on 6/1 to ask when they would be coming and was told they had to order the part and they would get back to me ... they call on 6/2 and asked for the model number so they could order it but 1st I would have to pay in advance for the part (which I did) ... I called them a week later 6/9 to ask if the part was in yet and when we could get this handled ... I received a call back same day after 6:30 pm to tell me they would be there in the morning between 10 and 2 ... of course they didn't show up until after 12:30 (after I asked if they could please come after 1:30 and the lady assured me I would be 1st at 10am and if not they would call me in the morning to let me know so I could go to work and not miss the whole day) and by the time they were done wasted a whole day that I did not get paid for. this was on a Wednesday I did not do laundry until Sunday and after putting in a load and 1/2 way through the cycle the machine was making a loud screeching noise ... I immediately called 6/14 to tell them it was still not working ... got a call the next day 6/15 from the tech and texted him a video that I took of it ... he said it was the motor and he would let me know when he could come back to look at and give me the cost ... I waited over a week and finally text him on 6/24 to ask when they would be coming back and now I've already paid almost $400 to fix it and still can't use it ... he told me Friday 6/26 and also that I would have to pay the service fee of $99 again as it is a new problem. I told him that was BS and It was he who said it was the drain and he who should of looked to see if there was anything else and how do I know they didn't do something to it ... Told him not to come back and I'd find someone else and would make sure to review them accordingly ... he had the nerve to tell me to be fair ... I think waiting weeks to get back to me was more than fair and at this point there is nothing he could do or say so the discount he wanted to offer me he can take and shove it!!! So my complaint is lack of Customer Service!!!! over a month and still no washer ... I want my Money that they over charged me back but since that won't happen ... I do not ever want to see them again ... and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to call Sears or anybody but them. Also reporting them to Bureau of electronic appliance repair services and household services or something like that!!! It all boils down to customer service bottom line is ... My washer wasn't working they told me what it was and I paid a lot for them to fix it and it still isn't working!!! They should of came back with no service fee and gave me a discount on the labor since they didn't fix it all the 1st time. Came how to my home and told me I needed a new control board for $200 for a refrigerator LED light that went out. Said I was only getting 3 V. I asked him how much the labor was and he said $300. I said how long will it take he said 30 minutes. When I said why would it cost $300 for 30 minutes...he didn't have a viable answer. He was rude to my wife and she told me not to have him return it she did not want to do business with them. So for a $13 LED light for the freezer, he was going to charge me $500 plus!
