Ugh....just had a free estimate yesterday for a roof. My roof is only 13 years old and I only agreed to the estimate because a kid was in my neighborhood and I wanted to help him get a little credit for setting up the appointment. I mentioned to the customer person on the phone that I had a previous engagement and that I wouldn't be available for a long sales pitch. Fast forward to the appointment and I get a young guy who comes to my door aimed and ready. I let him get through his slides and the whole time I'm letting him know that his time is limited as I have somewhere to be. The sales rep proceeds to walk around my house (he asked me to wait in the comfort of my home and he'd come get me when he needed to) and "inspects" my roof and proceeds to ask me to look at my NEIGHBORS roof so I can see how MY roof is damaged. Now how in the hell does that make any sense? My neighbors roof is my neighbors roof. When we come back into my home he shows me a piece of shingle and a rusty nail....both supposedly to have come off my house. I call bullshit! I had brand new gutters and downspouts put on just 2 weeks ago by Home Depot and I know that my roof was PERFECT. What's more my brother had just mowed my grass 3 days ago and there was ZERO evidence of any shingles of having come off of my roof. He also went up into my attic which concerned me some as I could not visually see what he was doing up there. At this time I started questioning whether letting him in my home was a good decision. Salesperson tried every strong arm tactic you could name then tells me they can do the roof for $32,000!!! As if I would even consider such a purchase on the spot. I explained to him that I research and plan out projects for far less and there was no way that I would even consider making such a purchase without doing my research. He proceeds to start lowering the price and THEN after having listened to him tell me how much I NEEDED a new roof and ALL of the fixin's before the winter, he proceeds to try to get me to purchase just the roof at around $13K. I again tell him that the transaction was NOT going to happen today. If and when I do need to replace my roof I will NOT be using Power to do so as two things really bothered me during the sales pitch. 1.) During his sales pitch he mentioned that there items I NEEDED in order to have the warranty, then as he starts to lower the prices several times I miraculously no longer need these items. 2.) He twice mentioned cheap inexperienced labor that competitors used. And referred to them picking up any old "Jose" (derogatorily) from in from of Home Depot and the 7-Eleven for work. That was HIGHLY inappropriate. I'm not sure why he felt comfortable enough to use the name/term that way in front of me, but I assure you I took offense to it. I now regret allowing this person to walk around my home and check my attic unsupervised, but I have documented my other concerns and if something should mysteriously happened to my perfectly fine roof within the next few months I'll be seeking legal action against the company. To wrap things up. I'll continue to deal with Home Depot for my needs and would stay far away from Power. read more

Where's zero stars when you need it? My sweet wife called me at my office upset because she wasn't able to get rid of the sales guy without scheduling the estimator's visit. So later, I met the estimator at the door and walked him back to the street where he was parked. He tried to save the visit, but there was just no way I was going to let him pitch his stuff. Then I got a kiss from my wife. ;) PHRG is clearly aware of how ill-received their initial sales pitches are. After all, they keep apologizing for it here on Yelp. But since they don't put an end to it, it's equally clear that their concern for their reputation is non-existent beyond lip service - relying instead on ultra-high-pressure sales to generate revenue. My faith in humanity takes another hit. :( read more

My wife and I hired Power Home Remodeling Group to replace our roof which was in sore need of replacement. Several sections had rotted away underneath the shingles, and the shingles themselves looked horribly streaked and blackened with age. While the initial quote was a little higher than their competitors, the company was willing to work with us to find a mutually agreed upon price that fir within our budget. We were also impressed by the product knowledge and the courteous way we were treated by the salesman who first met with us. On the day the works showed up, they were polite, hardworking, and let us know to ask any questions we might have during the process. Having had contractors at our house before who engaged in shoddy work or who used high pressure sales techniques to attempt us to close, it was a pleasure to work with PHRG who seem driven to have an excellent reputation in the industry. Nobody's perfect. The company has one piece of weird looking shingle on the roof that we have asked them to replace/correct and one part of our guttering was damaged by their ladders, but the company has assured us that we do not need to pay until they have replaced these items and we are 100% happy with the work - now find me any other company that offers this type of guarantee! Overall, we are very happy with the work and would recommend them to others. read more

We got half our windows redone a few years ago (we could not afford any more at the time) & they were fine! The windows are superior, the installation was terrific - everything was great. And then came this year. One pair of them came around the neighborhood, saying that "they were going to have to be in the area anyway, & it was cost effective to give out an estimate while they are here." I told them to just slip it into the mail slot, since we aren't getting anything done anytime soon. The one countered with "The estimate will be good for a number of years" & I said "that's fine - just put it through the mail slot." He then said they like to talk to people & I said "We aren't going to waste our time like that when we aren't getting anything done for at least a few years." & thr two went away & I thought that would be it. Until the phone calls started. The worst was the from a secretary who called up asking for me by my first name, without any identification whatsoever. When I started demanding who she was rather than let her tell me that i had to talk to her, she started exclaiming "Well! Really!" Like I am somehow at fault for wanting people to identify themselves & not pretend to be my intimate friends. She insisted she was told to set up an *appointment* & when I told her this was absolutely not the case, she actually had the nerve to sniff "Well, I can see this is a bad time - I'll call back later!" & I told her "No, DON'T!" But they did. I have told them THREE TIMES NOW to STOP CALLING - they have *just called* AGAIN, & it's about the FIFTH TIME they have called! I WILL be reporting them the minute I finish writing this review. 5 stars for the product & the installation, 0 stars for the way their salespeople have behaved ever since. read more

love this Company!!! From the knock on the door to the install. Everyone was so friendly and professional. We had windows installed then had them come back to install siding. OMG my house is unrecognizable!! I highly recommend this company for any improvement projects. read more

The first time they came to do an estimate we respectfully declined. We explained we wanted to do the jobs using cash and we just didn't have it. They offered to do half first. We said no and they went on their way. No hassles. Six months later they returned and they dropped the price and we agreed. We had 15 windows replaced with Power Home! They were great! The job was completed in one day as promised. Cleaned up the areas perfectly and the windows look great. Our sales person was phenomenal and there was no pressure. We explained that we couldn't afford to do our bay window and front door at the same time. They were understanding and said they would call in about six months and check with us again. They called, we agreed to do the bow window and front door. I cannot wait to see the final results! I agree that they have a lengthy presentation, but we were not pressured. They have offers for credit and they make sure you understand what you are getting into. Lifetime guarantee, transferable if you sell your home. We got an estimate from another window company who when we declined to sign on the dotted line that night said they would never offer us a deal again. We showed them the door! That was their loss and Power's gain. We still will have five windows and a slider to replace and Power will have that business as well, as long as this new job goes well. read more

Call Power Home Remodeling if you are looking to spend over twice as much and receive obnoxious high-pressure sales tactics. Not only was the quote they gave me for my roof replacement nearly twice as much as every other estimate, it was a take it or leave it deal. Here's what Power Home does: they go door to door, using young salespeople with very little training. The sales guy didn't even go on my roof to measure it, he used 'satellite imaging' to get the dimensions (which overestimated square footage by over 500, as confirmed by later estimators who actually measured the dang thing). He then gave me an initial estimate of $29,000 for the entire roof, which he could drop down to $23,000 if I signed RIGHT THIS MOMENT. They wear you down with a 3+ hour pitch, then set you up with a massive estimate. They then offer a 'discount' that is still far more than you should pay to make it seem like a good deal. DON'T believe it! There's a reason they are so terribly rated on yelp! I politely told the salesman at the beginning that any of that high-pressure sales nonsense would get him shown the door. I even told the scheduler this when I made the appointment. they both assured me that there would be no 'take it or leave it' offers made. They lied. When the salesman left, he wouldn't leave the written estimate, just a couple of numbers jotted down on a business card. Can you say unprofessional? Every other estimator was a pleasure to deal with, compared to the stuff PHG puts you through. read more

The power group did an outstanding job installing new windows on my house.Probably not the cheapest but I am very satisfied with their work.I would recommend them to anyone who needs new windows.Another good point is I was not pressured to make any decisions although I was told if I decided to have them do the work at the time of the estimate a discount would be applied.Actual cost of finished job was close to estimated price. read more

I want to start off by saying I did not have any work done by the company. This review is for the character and the customer service portion of the company. I understand a portion of their business comes from the "annoyance" of door to door marketing. I have two young children and one is a newborn and they sleep in the afternoon. I will put up a sign covering the doorbell saying please don't knock because newborn is sleeping and we have a dog. What happens next?...knock knock. My dog then barks frantically and wakes the house. I talked to the employee who's name is John and he told me he didn't the sign which is impossible. He later tried to apologize and told me that his company demands he ring and knock on every house no matter what. I was so furious I called the company right after and told them of the situation that just occurred. They of course try to say that isn't their policy and tell me that they will have someone contact that employee and discuss his actions. I ask if I can talk to his manager about the situation and they tell me that the employee's manager will call me shortly with an apology and to have a nice day. I had to stop the lady from hanging up because there was zero chance of that happening because they didn't have my phone number or name to call me back. So I'm not expecting a call back. I hope people will not trust this company with any remodeling projects because they certainly don't care about the customer, just them taking your money anyway they can. read more

I have not done business with this company, yet they continuously call my home sometimes twice per day. I have asked to be removed from their call list, then they call the next day and address me by the name Francis, then Steven. When I told the rep that neither of those names are mine and repeat my request to be removed, they hang up. I would avoid this company at all cost. The only way to get a response is to call the set appointment line. When you ask for a supervisor, you are disconnected or put into someone's voice mail. I cannot imagine the service level once they actually have your money! read more

My property was damaged by a Power sub-contractor and I have been left hanging by Power. They refuse to take any responsibility for the mistakes of the people they hire. They simply say that's between me and the other guy, the guy that THEY HIRED! They talk a good game about how they will take care of any issues or problems that arise during the job but then when something actually does happen, they want nothing to do with you! Do not use power!!! read more

This company had a salesman going door to door in our neighborhood selling window replacement. We'd been thinking about it so I asked him for an estimate. First I had to give him a bunch of my personal information: my name, my wife's name, multiple phone numbers, email addresses. Then I had to get on the phone with his boss and verify that all the info I have the salesman was true. Why am I getting interrogated? I assumed they paid the salesperson for referrals and wanted to verify he wasn't making it up, but it's not my job. We scheduled the estimate for Wednesday at 10am. NO ONE SHOWED UP. NO ONE CALLED. I couldn't call them because the brochure they left with us doesn't have a phone number or email. It's now Friday afternoon and no one from this company has called or emailed me from the company. If they do, I won't use them for our new windows. I recommend you don't use this company either. read more

When my wife told me out of the blue she'd set up an estimate with this company, I told her get the estimate fine but, I'm not interested in the small home repair she was suggesting. This company insisted to my wife that both husband and wife "must" sit down with the salesman at least for the first ten minutes. I told her nope, this unusual requests signals a high pressure nightmare. The BS from the salesman lasted over two hours. I ignored the salesman even as I walked by him. I looked on Yelp and was glad I did. read more

The window install was done very professionally, the guys took very good care of covering all of our furniture and floors. Cleaned up all job related debris, there was no loose ends. We had a bow window replaced the entire window was reframed. All of the interior casing looks great. Everyone has been extremely professional, because of the way the window turned out we are now getting all of our siding and trim replaced. We are looking forward to the next phase of the project. read more

Great company to deal with if you are ready to buy today! If not, skip over Power. Nice sales rep. very informative, knew how to answer all our questions, really liked the windows, a lot! But, then came the numbers game and the high pressure sales line. "sign up today for a massive price reduction" vs the one year price. Offer declined, we had informed the sale person we were shopping offers only before the meeting so.... Then the phone calls begin, more than 50 in a three week period! Decided to pass. On the day we had just signed with another company, they still wanted us to see their sales person, So, on the phone with them, had to say NO more than five times, and they still were insisting we allow them to try again. Unbelievable! Great product, nice sales person, PUSHY, PUSHY, follow up. Oh and the cherry on top of the Power experience, Our information will be shared unless we do the five year opt out, which have to re opt out again every five years, Good times, NOT!!!!! read more

I will file a complaint with the BBB. This company is unethical an the salesmen border on threatening. The "salesman" who came to give us our quote became irate and very obnoxious and rude when we didn't immediately respond in favor to his ludicrous and overpriced sales pitch. We honestly told him we would discuss it and he grew angry and said "I feel used!" "I spent all my time here and all you can say is you will think about it!". Like all the other posts here, he spent 2 hours telling us something that should only take 30 minutes max. It was impossible to get him to leave without finally being direct and rude back. read more

The sales person who approached us was very nice but this whole process was time consuming and intrusive. My husband and I got approached at our local BJs which is complete BS since all we wanted to do was get what we needed and leave... but we were there for 30 mins with these people, after saying a number of times that we didn't need their services. So we didn't want to be rude and went through the process of setting up an estimate ... thought it would be a quick job and someone would just come by, do it and leave.. but no they needed us both there.. but we have opposite schedules since my husband is a cop... wouldn't take no for an answer and kept pushing until she made an appt... also she gave my number to a recruiter... which I again got roped into. Now these people won't stop calling me. I was going to answer and just do the estimate to get them off my back but I'm happy I came here and saw that the "estimate" was really a long presentation so I blocked their numbers. Stop calling me and stop scamming people. I will be reaching out to my local BJs and file a complaint as well. read more

Power Home Remodeling has replaced more than a dozen windows in our home. We are very satisfied with the work and professionalism of the staff from start to finish. Yes the salesman are REALLY good at realing you in (that's their job) , yes YOU & YOUR SPOUSE must be available for appointments, and the appoinments are LONG but the work is GREAT. They do an amazing job at cleaning up (from hauling every piece away, vacuuming, cleaning windows and the surrounding frames) and also have a supervisor (quality assurrance) come right away to make sure the job was done to the purchasers expectations. We are happy customers and will most likely continue to do business with this company. read more

I can only echo what every single other reviewer has said. Extremely high pressure sales tactics that make you feel the only way to get them off your lawn is to say "yes" to a free estimate. I did that, I got rid of them, and then canceled the estimate on the phone with the company the next morning. They keep saying to check their reviews on google, but nearly every review on google is by someone with just 1 post. I imagine they just made those up themselves. They all sound similar. Thank you, fellow yelpers. read more

My wife and I are both retired so it was easy enough for both of us to be home for a presentation on new siding installation. This was the second time we had brought Power into our home, and the previous time was a disaster because of the high pressure salesmanship exhibited for an obviously highly inflated price for a roof and windows. We were definitely not looking forward to this presentation. When Kevin and Evan arrived they were unexpectedly cordial and forthcoming. They spent a couple hours with us and gave us a quote for new siding, fascia wrapping and gutters. As expected this quote was w-a-a-a-y out of our league budget-wise. They presented another offer which was also not satisfactory for our budget. Finally, they made an offer just to do the fascia wrapping and install new gutters (larger and more efficient than the ones we just had put on two years previously). The fascia wrapping and new larger gutters were more enticing and their proposal was not overly taxing on our budget, so we decided to sign the contract. We were told to expect three weeks to get the supplies in, and another two weeks to get them installed. Much to our surprised we received a call from the Power scheduler who asked us if we would be home the next week to get the fascia wrapping done one day and install the gutters the next! True to their word, the workers arrived on Tuesday a.m. and had the fascia wrapped within four hours. The next day, unfortunately it rained and we had to postpone the gutters until two days after. But again, two days after, on Friday there were the workers early in the a.m. and had the gutters installed with two hours. Despite what I have heard and experienced with Power in the past, I WAS impressed with their work commitments. I am still not a fan of their exorbitant prices on some of their products, but I have nothing but praise for their promptness in getting the work completed on time and to our satisfaction. read more

I used this company to replace all of my windows and sliding door. Was it a slight higher in price? Yes, but ANY issues you call and they stick by the 100% guarantee. I had some of my seals that needed replacing. It was great to know I was able to fix it before I sold my home. Plus, the warranty is transferable to the next owner. Win Win. I guess for peace of mind, you want a company who delivers. read more

Have an appointment today, which I'm about to cancel based on the reviews. I usually don't answer door for sales people but the guy saw me go in after walking dog. Anyhow, talked to him for a few minutes longer than I like after getting home from work. Set up appt for today but not happening. These reviews are awful and I do not have time nor patience to sit and chat with a pushy sales person. So glad I thought to come to yelp. read more

It's been a few weeks since our experience with Power, but I am still so bothered by it that I had to write a review. After someone approached our door stating that this company was in the area offering quick and free estimates on exterior home renovations, we agreed to make an appointment. The salesman showed up the next day on time at 6:30pm and invited himself into our home. After listening about the company for three hours, we finally began looking over renovation ideas. The salesman came up with a $40,000+ plan. After repeatedly expressing how uncomfortable (SEVEN TIMES to be exact) we were spending that kind of money and that exterior renovations were not our priority, the price came down to $21,000 because of two "promotions" that he coincidentally suddenly remembered. At 12:30am (yes, SIX HOURS later) we finally agreed to a small renovation after feeling as though we had no other way of getting this man out of our house; he clearly wasn't taking "no" for an answer. He was insanely pushy, made us uncomfortable, pressured us, and lives up to every stereotype given to salesmen. We called every day, twice a day for a week to their cancellation department to get something sent to us in writing that our notice of cancellation had been received and NEVER spoke to a person willing to send us anything. I have never left a review on Yelp because I have never felt so strongly about an experience - until this one. We lost sleep over this manipulative person. Because of this terrible experience, I refuse to answer my door out of fear of getting pressured into another scandal. I would rather pay 100x the price of what this company was offering just to avoid ever dealing with them again; they will never earn my business and more importantly, never earn my trust. read more

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. In fact, I'd like to deduct a star for every annoying call or sales pitch I've had to hear. At the beginning of January, My husband and I got estimates for replacing a total of 7 windows in my home from a couple of sources. PHRG were one of the companies to give an estimate. sort of. The salesman showed up & was friendly, almost obsequious. He showed us a video on his iPad, gave us a pitch that sounded almost rehearsed & took forever to get to the bottom line-even though we plainly stated several times over about 3 hours that we just wanted a price in writing. He had no way to actually give us a written quote being that he only had his iPad. He also did not bring any window samples to show us, but still wanted us to buy immediately. He became argumentative, asking why I wouldn't sign, I explained that I wanted other quotes for comparison to make sure I was getting the best deal. He argued that I would lose a thousand dollars if I did not sign today. (At this point my husband had to take a business call & I was left to deal with the salesman.) I was firm but polite and said I would not be making the decision today. He still insisted that I would be losing out. I finally stood up and walked towards the door and he seemed to get the hint, he scribbled his name and a price on a scrap of paper and almost stomped out the door. I heard him squeal wheels as he pulled out of the court. I threw the "quote" in the trash, however for several weeks after the salesman from PHRG gave us the "quote", we received calls at least twice a day - at home and on my cell- from them from both an office land-line and also a cell phone, they never left a message, or when I answered, there was no one on the line. The calls have dwindled to about 1 every month or so. I have also had several solicitations at my door claiming "our company is finishing up some work on your neighbor's house" and were giving free quotes in the area. In comparison, another company that came out was Pella Windows, a known commodity, a reputable company. The salesman brought window samples of each type and quality(good/better/best). He was polite, answered all of our questions, left us pamphlets & catalogs of different window styles & did not pressure us to sign then & there, and the price was reasonable and was actually lower than PHRG. We ended up going with them. read more

Came by house, scheduled an appointment 6 months ago. Dude showed up on time, took his time, but he was fine, friendly in that superficial I-wanna-sell-you something-over-priced kinda way. They did talk about 50 year warranty, don't know how legit that is. When it came to price time he was asking for about 25 g's for a not very big house (talking 17 x 60) insulation and roofing including. Naturally i could get 25% off if i signed on it right that moment. Can't say they inspired confidence and I don't have 18 g's lying around nor do i have a desire to go into debt with them. They did their thing, I did mine, was a so-so encounter until they couldn't take no for an answer. Real pushy folks, friendly but pushy. Let myself get bullied into another meet up where the same thing transpired (tho much shorter visit). Then I asked them to stop calling me, I'd let them no. I've had to hang up on their asses twice now since their dispatcher seems to be lacking common sense, the most recent one last week, thus inspiring this review. In sum, they strike me as skeezy, disrespectful, and not someone I would ever consider doing business with. read more

Saw the company at a home show and they set up the appointment for the next evening - 6:30 pm. in winter. I laughed thinking this would be interesting to see how they would see the roof in the dark. Was surprised when they arrived and two salesmen were standing there. Both were nice guys, however only one did the talking. Was told about the company, shown the shingles - the standard company pitch. The salesman worked on the estimate as I looked at a tablet showing roofs the company had installed. Then he gave me an estimate that was incredibly high but, if I signed right then and there, the price dropped. I said no, that I wanted to get other estimates. But wait, there's more, if you let us take pictures of the job, the price is only $XXX. Still way too much. I asked about references and was told that they don't give out their client information. I can respect that, but surely they must ask some clients to provide references. At this point, I told them they had to leave since it was getting late and I had to get to bed. They had only been there for 2 hours at this point. The salesman starts packing up, but wait, there's more. If I let them do something, the price would drop to $XX. Each time they presented a new price, they went through the same routine about what was wrong with my existing shingles, how great a job the company does, etc. At this point, they had been in my home for 2 1/2 hours which was way too long. I had to ask them to leave again. read more

Out of control sales tactics! Sales guy knocks on my door at 7pm and keeps asking questions over and over and over! Trying to find out when we are home and when we are out, etc. lying that they are doing work all over the neighborhood. Really creepy. He couldn't even make an appointment with me. He had to call the office and the office guy wanted to talk to me. I had already made it clear I didn't want a quote. Had to tell this guy over 10 times I didn't want a quote! A roving salesperson was knocking on doors in the Woodbridge Crossing Homeowners Association, community in Laurel just now. This community has posted two signs at the sole entrance which announce a prohibition for door-to-door soliciting. When advised of this prohibition, the salesman (blue jacket; colorful knitted cap) indicated twice that he "was just doing my job!" When advised he was prohibited from soliciting this community, he ignored that notice and continued his pursuit of soliciting new customers. NOW I ASK: Why would anyone want to do business with a company which ignores posted warnings, and in fact allow sales people to ignore the existence of such warning? This is a poor business practice. read more

I am writing to inform you that I was highly disappointed with Power's marketing tactics. Someone arrived at my door indicating Power would be replacing a roof on my street this week and that they were offering free estimates. They did not complete any work on my street and after 3 hours of wasting my time gave me an estimate 5 times what two other local contractors gave me . I was told me that I needed to get a new roof before winter. Luckily, both of the other contractors I received estimates from after Power's visit informed me that I was not at the point of needing a new roof and that neither on them would recommend replacing anything as of yet. One company said to give them a call in another 5 years to check it again and the other company said I should probably be able to get another 10 years out of my roof. Absolutely, disgusted my the initial lies about work on my street, the unnecessary panic about needing roof and gutter replacement and that I was given a quote 5 times what the cost should be. Very disappointing!!!!!!!! read more

The tale of the $100,000 roof. I kid you not...$100,000. I was approached by a young man who said they were doing work in the area and asked if I wanted a free estimate which will be good for a year. I have been thinking about my roof lately, so in a moment of weakness, I said sure. I asked which house in the area they were doing work on. Red Flag #1: He said just across the street, they were getting a new roof. Well, the house across the street is owned by an elderly couple who just had their roof done three years ago and their son is one of the best General Contractors in the area, so it would be unlikely they would be hiring Power Home Remodeling to do their roof. Undeterred by this anomaly, I foolishly pressed on. I agreed to have them come out to do an estimate that Saturday. The canvasser called command central to set-up the appointment. I asked the scheduler how long it was going to take and...Red Flag #2... he would not even give me an estimate. Not an inkling of the average time it would take. I'm feeling a little uncomfortable at this point, yet I forge ahead. That Saturday a nice young man came to do the estimate. He broke out his laptop and started his Power Point Presentation with...Red Flag #3...over 90 slides, YES-90. I knew it was going to be a long day. Over four hours later, and after near constant prodding to get to the point, he gave me the estimate for 25 squares (2,500 square feet) of roof: $32,000. I near had a heart attack, but to my shock and amazement, there was more. Power has in-house financing to avoid all of the difficulty of paying for such a worthwhile investment all at once. He said that he can get me a loan for a little over $1,300 a month. Did he say $1,300 a month? I told him I thought that was expensive for a three year loan, but he was quick to correct me. It wasn't a three year loan. Nope! It was an 84 month loan, YES-84 months. I thought my heart had literally stopped. I'm now feeling dizzy and sick to my stomach. For those of you who may be challenged mathematically, that comes to a jaw-dropping astonishingly expensive $109,200 roof. I will say that again, $109,200 for 2,500 square feet of roof. To put that in perspective, that's roughly $44 per square foot. You can get a custom built home for around $70 a square foot, which comes with a kitchen, living room, dining room, multiple bathrooms and bedrooms, garage, and yes A ROOF. I've seen Power's response to complaints about price in YELP. Here is a direct quote from them from an earlier review: "We are extremely confident in our products, warranties and level of service and while we are transparent that we are not the cheapest game in town, we feel our customers will ultimately choose quality over the lowest bid." My response to that is to repeat: $109,200. Please please please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

We had a very similar experience, sales guy was at our home until after midnight. Every time we said we wanted to think about it, he kept giving us a lower price if we signed on the spot. We finally signed the contract and received the information on the financing company that was willing to offer us a loan for the work. BBB grade was C+ and had lots of negative reviews. We called and cancelled the contract, the same guy came out and made us sign a bunch of paperwork but only after he tried to pressure us into reconsidering. I finally had to get nasty and ask him to give us what we needed to sign and get out. He left in a huff and we have had nothing but unsolicited sales calls from other home improvement companies since. Stay away - seems like a good product, but they are WAY overpriced and only deal in high pressure sales. Toxic. read more

I don't know how these people got my phone number, I haven't lived in the area for 10 years (but kept my original cell phone number). They robocall me at least twice a day for the last week at all hours of the morning and evening. Absolutely ridiculous! They wouldn't take the hint so I had to contact my service provider to have their phone number blocked from ALL lines on my account. Thankfully, that's something that can be done in about 5 minutes online. read more

Horrible company. They sent a guy around knocking on doors a year or so ago. We signed up for a free estimate on new windows. After blocking out the time for the appointment, the guy no showed. Then we started getting constant hang up calls from a number attached to this company. Then several weeks after the no show, another guy from this company came out and acted like I was lying about the no show and wouldn't leave my porch and kept insisting I talk to his dispatcher/boss. I told them to take us off their list and that we had no interest in an estimate. Then a guy shows up for a "scheduled" estimate a few nights later. Another absurd back and forth about what had gone on prior. Another call on this (now the 3rd) guy's cellphone to dispatch who claimed they had my agreement to the estimate on file from the last guy. I told him he needed to get the estimate person to leave and take us off the list. Ever since then, hangups to our home phone happen several times a week and trace back to Power Home Remodeling on the caller ID. Today, a new guy shows up but my husband answers. I see that he has a Power Home Remodeling logo on his jacket so I go intervene and say given the past history with the company and the horrible online reviews we have no interest in an estimate. After we shut the door, the man begins knocking repeatedly. For a *very* long time. We go back to the door and he is insisting we talk to the dispatch person on his phone about the situation. Um, no. I am sure we will continue to get more hangup calls to our phone since those have never stopped. The sales practices of this company are absolutely appalling. Seriously, it borders on harassment at this point. Whatever you do, don't give your phone number to these people! read more

"Your door will LITERALLY be opening and closing every day." Really? I thought it was just there for decoration. This company takes the cake for annoying and unprofessional sales tactics. Our fault for not checking Yelp! in advance. The other one star reviews are well-deserved and reflect what we experienced as well. After over an hour of high-pressure sales, my husband was forced to ask the salesman to leave when he repeatedly and rudely refused to provide an estimate without both my husband and I present. If you let one their salespeople into your home, be prepared to endure a high-pressure sales tactics session rather than receive a true written estimate. read more

I ran into Power Home Remodeling one day at Sam's Club and decided to get an estimate. It was the best decision I've made in 2017. Clay Newton came in as our sales consultant and did an estimate for our roof. Imagine how surprised we were when he told us our food was actually in pretty good shape and should be good for the next couple of years. He scored many points with us for that, because honesty is key. He then asked to show us some other things that he thought might need immediate attention. Our windows were not in great condition and we were losing money due to energy inefficiency. We had actually already thought about replacing the windows so we weren't surprised when he told us this. To me, it was a great added touch that he showed us where the problems were rather than just tell us. From there we had Pat McGuire come out as our pre-install inspector and he re-measured everything and set up our installation date. The installation team was very professional and efficient! They arrived exactly when they stated they would and got right to work after confirming everything again. During the day we had Alex Ilie, the QC manager, come out to ensure that everything was going smoothly and to set up our warranty. He also made sure we knew how the windows worked and answered any questions we had. I've NEVER had a customer service experience this good and can't wait to work with them again in a couple of years to replace our roof. This company is top notch in everything they do and I can't stress how much I recommend them! read more

SUUUUUUPER High Pressure sales. For some reason these guys think that if they waste 2 hours of your life trying to sell you on something that you will be more inclined to overpay for Windows or Siding. I had them give me a quote on Windows and it was absurd. I told the person, No thank you, and they continued to sit there and try to sell me on the Windows. I got up from the chair and indicated that they should as well. They pretended not to get the hint. Then I thanked him for his time and asked him to leave. He became very rude and even after leaving sat at the end of my street looking at my house. I became concerned and called the company and told them that they should have him leave without incident or I would call the police because at that point I felt threatened. They apologized and he left. I have not heard from them since. read more

Absolutely RUDE. A rep happened to come by while my husband was home. He scheduled an estimate with them for 4pm a few days later. He recieved a phone call to confirm and just mentioned that I would not be home. He was told that we could not recieve an estimate without both adults there. He explained that we work opposite schedules. He works 8-3 and I work 12-8 and so gettign us together for an estimate would be almost impossible. The rep explained that they requireboth parties present so there is no confusion over what will be done and the price. Im sorry, but doesnt a company standardly give a WRITTEN ESTIMATE to potential clients. Thus it shouldnt matter if both of us are present. read more

I know everyone coming to this site is looking to for all the good things that the power sales rep already said, if that's the case don't even both to look at online reviews of this company, they may tell you that the reviews you read will be about how aggressive their sales people were well that's just the half of it, I honestly think they are a waste of time. Save you self the time and money, trust me you can find so many companies that can provide you with quality service. First of all I feel like if you are going to offer a price, offer me the best price. And not try to use the whole "UPS Model" thing, it's a window folks now at car. If you have a good price we will buy. There are thousands of companies making and selling windows today you can even choose windows online check it out. I am not going to bore you with all the details but they did not do right by me, wastes so much time on the phone, then wasted so much time with them at my house, then after making time for their foreman to arrive he then projects like it's more work than the price they sold me at. I can't believe they tried to make it sound like they were reinventing the wheel. I had to bring to the guys attention that it's the same window you see on every other house on my street, DO NOT hire Power Window they cannot think out of the box, they will say anything to get you to sign. A simple internet search will reveal companies that will come out and give you a free quote read more
