We needed windows for our 30 year old house. I checked out the usual suspects: Pella, Andersen, Marvin. The first estimate (Marvin) came in at $25K for 13 windows. Nearly TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS per window. I came across Kelemer Brothers in a Reddit thread. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. I contacted them and met with Gabriel Kelemer the same day. He quoted a price for 13 windows PLUS A NEW FRONT DOOR for 1/2 the Marvin quote. The positive reviews were entirely deserved. Kelemer's crew installed the windows and front door yesterday. They were terrific to work with, did excellent work (I'm a home handyman and picky as they come), and finished the job in a single day. Half the cost, installed in a day (after lead time to make the windows, of course), and excellent craftsmanship in both windows and installation. read more

Had a very positive experience with Kelemer Brothers. They replaced nine windows and a side patio door. The entire process was seamless and easy. I've had the new windows and door for about a month and so far I'm very happy with them. I highly recommend Kelemer Brothers. read more

Honest, straightforward, easy to deal with, respectful, knowledgeable. Will do work in the DC area, as we are, despite being based in Baltimore. Happy start to finish. Our electric bills and ratings against other similar homes have improved after replacement of 22 windows and 3 doors. read more

We had 3 primary suite windows, 2 garage windows, and an external garage door replaced recently. Nice product!! From start to finish, Gabe and the Kelemer Brothers team were professional, courteous, and responsive. Their work and clean-up was impeccable. I was even given a bouquet of flowers on the installation day. I thought that the quote and payment process was a thing of the past. There was trust. No deposit needed. Payment was made on the day when the work was completed. The price was competitive. We had several quotes. I liked the small community business feel. We will definitely call them back if additional work is needed. read more

Joe was great, with a very genuine personality and warm customer service. He doesn't have any of the used car salesman vibes other window folks gave us. His quote was in the range of what others quoted, and he didn't even want a deposit! He charges the full balance upon project completion. You won't have tiers or options as far as what window they use, but what they provide is locally made and high quality. The windows came in ahead of schedule, which was terrific. His crew replaced original windows in our home, and we've seen improvement in how much exterior sound they block and how much warmer it is without drafts! We highly recommend Kelemer Bros. for window projects. read more

I read great reviews and decided to call this company unknown to me. Best decision. Worked with Joe Kelemer to have 29 windows and patio door replaced. Joe came to my house on a Sunday and provided a fair, no pressure quote. Very professional and knowledgeable. No other company came close. Even provided two teams on installation day to complete the job in one day. Quality work, attention to detail, and cleaned up. At the end of the day, Joe inspected every window with me to ensure satisfaction and presented a dozen pink roses as a thank you. Highly recommend. read more

I had a terrific experience with the Kelemer Brothers. My friend had her windows replaced a few years ago and spoke very highly of them. Joe came out right away and gave me a very detailed overview of the installation process after providing information on the windows that his company provided. I ended up getting a quote from Home Depot soon there after which was $1,000 more. I went with Joe because of the pricing but also the great customer service. No down payment was required. The windows came in a month and change later and Joe worked with me to install them at a time that was convenient for me. His workers (Vince + helper) were great, working efficiently, moving furniture and cleaning up after themselves. The windows were beautiful and Joe came by after to show me exactly how they worked and details of the great job his workers did. He also gave me a nice surprise as a thank you for business. I would highly recommend the Kelemer Brothers and confidently refer anyone to them. read more

Kelemer replaced all of our upstairs windows and did a spectacular job. We never would have known anyone was here and the value was unmatched with all of the other quotes we got. The new windows perform great (we've had them close to a year) and have really helped with our electric bills. I recommend them without reservations. read more

Kelemer Bros replaced the old aluminum windows in my condominium with vinyl ones. Joe was a pleasure to deal with, and everything went smoothly from our first phone conversation to completion. It was great to communicate with just one person throughout the process. His crew was amazing--efficient, skilled, polite, clean and accommodating. They got 9 windows installed in one day, working in 20-degree weather, which was impressive. The price was lower than other companies, and yet I feel that I couldn't have done better if I had paid more. read more

Doing business with Kelemer Brothers was a highly positive experience; one that I found to be unique and rare in any business. I recently bought a home and knew that I would have to replace an old and outdated bay window in the home. I got recommendations for window companies from my neighborhood Listserve and contacted one or two different companies. Kelemer Brothers was recommended to me by realtor, and so I knew they would be good. However, I didn't realize exactly how wonderful they would be. From that very first phone call, Joe Kelemer was helpful, personable and thoughtful. He made an effort to connect with me as a customer as well as an individual. He gave me things to consider when purchasing a window (types of materials, style of window etc.) even before I had agreed to do business with his company. When I met with him in person, he was very patient, kind and forthcoming with information. He gave me a realistic time frame and told me to give his proposal some time and thought before making a decision. I loved that he wasn't pushy to "get the job" which I had experienced with other companies. He didn't accept any money from me even when I signed the agreement to use his services. As promised, he delivered a beautiful bay window, which was expertly installed and changed the whole look and feel of my new home. Joe stopped by after the job was done to check in with me and ensure I was happy with the work. He even brought some beautiful roses, which he said he does for all customers after a job is complete, as a way to show that he appreciates the customer and their business. Wow! This attention to detail, good customer service and care for positive and strong customer relationships is truly rare and a welcomed breath of fresh air. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Kelemer Brothers for your amazing work and service. read more

Gabriel was so kind and helpful when it came to the entire process. When he came to quote me, I let him know I didn't have the time to go through the whole "Window Selling Process" and he was so respectful, measured, explained a few details and quoted me. In addition to windows, I also purchased one door. When I explained that I was considering a screen door, he shared a different kind of door, where I can open the window. He said it was more cost-effective and may be what I'm looking for. On the day of the install, Gabriel brought my flowers, which was very sweet. His guys were kind, courteous of my space, and shared some stories and jokes with me. They cleaned up after themselves and did a wonderful job. I am thrilled with my new windows and my door. Looking forward to working with them, again, on some French doors that also need to be replaced. read more

We purchased 9 windows from Kelemer Brothers and their price and service were outstanding. Joe helped us order our windows and he was highly professional and helpful to guide us to windows without our budget that look quite nice. It's a small operation so you get personalized service--he even came to our house the day of installation to explain to us how to open, close, clean, and care for our windows. He clearly is passionate about windows! Their price was way less than the big companies like Pella or Unicorp. I am very satisfied with our entire experience and highly recommend them for anyone in the DC or Baltimore area! read more

I was extremely impressed and more than happy with choosing Kelemer Brothers for my Windows. How many companies today can do what they say and mean it - not many - but Kelemer (Joe) did beyond my neutral expectations. Neutral, because let's face it in today's quick talk sell and mediocre work and disposal society, there isn't much to rely on. When people do show up, the work generally isn't good quality and it's a constant getting after them to do what they should be doing without telling them again and again. And then there's a gold nugget.... Joe picked up on my call and responded to an Angies List message. From the moment we spoke he explained their method of business and assured me he was who I would deal with from the beginning of the process to the end. And he was right. There are no "sales" people. The "brothers" handle their own business giving it a true ownership to customer go-to for everything. Joe came by the property, measured and talked to me about the windows and lifetime warranty and how it all worked. He even had a display window to show me just what I would be buying. I was already in a time crunch after finding I needed to replace all 8 windows for this rental that I needed to get back on the market and rented. He told me to be safe with a timeframe It would be 6-8 weeks but would put a rush and possibly get them sooner. I ordered 3/25 and was not required to give a down payment. This helped me greatly since the windows were very unexpected and needed to rearrange my budget. Joe kept in touch and I only contacted him at the 3 week timeframe to check the progress. Next thing I know he was contacting me to let me know on 4/25 (a month to the day of order) his 3 installers would be at the property to install the windows. Now for the best part of the install. They showed up and got set up and covered my stairs with a drop cloth. They began removing the old windows and one of the three gentlemen would gather the remnants and put them outside. During the entire install my property was kept clean and even floor clean up throughout . This was a great team. It took approximately 4-5 hours (I lost track of time since I was doing other things). After they were done I was shown how they work by one "lead" who said Joe would be on his way to do close out. And I had already received a message from Joe just before they ended. They cleaned up and were on their way to the next job. Not one window sill, wall, door frame, floor, was damaged during this entire process. I expected at least to do some touch up painting and maybe patch some drywall - I am not kidding when I say I had to do nothing other than wipe dust from the sill. Hire this company, or more to the point , hire Joe. Because that's what you get - a person and not just a company. When Joe arrived he had a dozen beautiful pink roses for me as a thank you to me for choosing their service. This was a great service indeed and with no pressure. I paid the amount owed and Joe also showed me how to operate the windows and we walked around to each and every window to check them out and answer questions I had about care and warranty. I told Joe I will be calling them when I able to have the kitchen sliding door replaced - I won't be here since I don't live near the rental property but after the care Joe took to assure the process was swift and clean, I have no qualms about calling him when the door will be replaced. I hope I have not set the bar further up too much for them but it is not too often I get to write a great review. The price range was $2500-$4000. I won't say exactly because this was a special that may not otherwise be available- there are other specials though and I'm sure within anyone's budget depending on what is needed. read more

I found Kelemer Brothers on a random google search and decided to give them a call. When Gabriel came to provide me an estimate, he asked how I heard of them. I told him that I found them on a google search, saw all the 5 star reviews, and thought, no one could be that good and I wanted to see if he was full of... "stuff"... Now, I'm writing to say, he's NOT full of... "stuff"... Kelemer Brothers started off a leg behind in my search. The day before, I had signed a contract with another company. I told them the price I wanted, they met it, so I signed (I had 5 days to cancel). I had Gabriel come out anyway because I wanted to see what he'd say. Gabriel was outstanding to deal with. He was the only one who walked into my house, looked at my windows and could point out which ones previously had glass replaced and which didn't. There was no sales pitch, no hard sale, no gimmicks. He walked around, measured the windows, tapped some numbers on his phone and showed me a price. Back to that offer I already signed... Long story short, upon further review, they pulled a bait and switch and put different windows on the contract. Four days later, I had come to an agreement with Gabriel and canceled my previous contract. Alright Gabriel, I'm giving you a chance, don't let me down! Fan-tastic! Gabriel was a pleasure to deal with start to finish. Very classy guy. His crew was very professional. They worked hard and consistent. They didn't rush. They were clean and took care of my house while they were in it. They vacuumed and cleaned when they were done, they left no mess; when they left, I barely knew they were there. Gabriel brought flowers for my wife (she already liked him better than the other companies...) Gabriel was around to answer questions during the install. Any issues that I had with the install (I had minor nit picky things because I'm OCD) they addressed immediately and without issue. There were 2 screens that were ripped, Gabriel fixed them right there on the spot. Every window was installed well, was working, and I'm honestly very happy. It's only been 3 days since the install so I can't speak to years gone by, but very happy so far. Lastly, all the other guys came out with their sales pitches and how the materials they use are soo much better than everyone else... Kelemer Brothers used all the same material. All high-quality foam/caulk/trim/etc. Thank you Gabriel, thank you Vince, thank you to the rest of the crew! read more

Very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Promt and efficient install. Will use them again soon.

Joe and his team did an outstanding job replacing all our windows (total of six: 5 plus sliding door). Professional, clean, and very fast job was done in less than 8 hours. Price is very reasonable, too. Very recommended! read more

Joe and his team went above my expectations in replacing the windows in my 100-year-old house. I priced out 5 window dealers. I selected Joe because his prices were in line with three or the five dealers, he did not try to up sell or give me any pressure, and he warranties the window and the workmanship. Joe communicates well on planning for the arrival and install days. At the install, Joe was present at the beginning, in and out during the day, and at end of each day. At the end of each day he reviewed the work with my and let me know where everything stands. His team was clean and orderly--including wiping down surfaces, doors, and the bathroom. Joe's team coordinated with my contractor's carpenter (as we were changing the size of two windows). All of that was seamless. The team even edged out some of the windows where we'd changed window styles. I highly recommend the Kelemer Brothers! read more

Our experience with Kelemer Brothers was just wonderful. Gabriel came to give us a quote and spent time explaining the different options. I wanted a different color for the inside and Gabriel found it for me. I was so happy about that. The install team arrived on time and they were highly professional. Our glass doors/walls were custom made and we really are enjoying them. I highly recommend them and look forward to using them again in the future, if needed. The entire team makes such a strong effort to accommodate in every way possible. This company is a Winner...I'm only sorry I couldn't give them six starts! read more

These guys are exceptional. They replaced the windows in our entire home, where we have many larger windows of various sizes. Joe showed up on time for the estimate, walked through all of our options for our budget, and took measurements. Once the windows were ready, his crew came in, and installed them all in one day. The crew was courteous and professional, left no mess behind. Joe then made it a point to follow up and assess the quality of the job, and made sure we were 100% satisfied. You could not ask for a better experience. 4 months later, windows are working great. read more

the best customer service and they stand behind all there work cant ask for any better.

Kelemer Brothers is a wonderful company; I highly recommend it. My elderly parents recently upgraded their windows from the 1970s, and Kelemer Brothers treated them with kindness and decency throughout the entire process. The owner even gave my mother flowers--twice! The quality of the work is high, and the windows look terrific. They even suggested a beautiful picture window for the kitchen, which is a major improvement for the room. We appreciated the fact that they were attentive to cleaning up all of their work. The price was affordable as well. Thank you Kelemer Brothers! read more

Outstanding job from beginning till the end. Project - replacement original windows from 1953 to new energy efficient.I rate 5+ all steps in the process - first visit, introduction, explanation, paper work ( there where no actual "paper" all done in modern digital technology way ) , installation, post installation review. Thank you Joe and team. read more

A+ rating across the board for Kelemer Brothers -- highly recommended! Kelemer Brothers exceeded our expectations in every respect. The service was excellent, from the initial meeting through the installation of the windows. Joe Kelemer, a co-owner, met with us to review our window options. He's very nice, gave us pricing options on the spot, and there was no upselling or sales pressure. The price was very reasonable -- less than the other highly-rated companies we met with (for the same windows, from a local window manufacturer), and less than we had expected. Installation was smooth and professional, with a hard-working crew that took care to cover our furniture during the installation process, and Joe even came by during the installation to make sure that everything was going well. Most importantly, our new windows look great and were installed well. We were extremely pleased with both the product and the service...thanks! read more
