New Integrity by Marvin french door
Greg N.

Excellent products but even better customer service. I bought two new windows and one new french door and they look great and are of high quality. Doug worked with me from beginning to end by explaining my options, teaching me how to measure and how to self install, and even referring me to a brick mason. Very deserving of 5 stars!

Roof redone by Forbes Design. Amazing work

Highly recommend! We just recently had our roof replaced and used Forbes Design. They were amazing! From originally planning the replacement and what to do, to the actual project being completed everything went super smooth. The guys showed up promptly on time and were considerate of my car I had forgotten to move so nothing would accidentally hit it. Our roof is very large and the guys had it stripped and fully replaced by the end of the day. They were very meticulous about the cleaning after and made sure all pieces were picked up around the yard. They did not even have to bring in one of those unsightly roll off trash containers that could ruin driveways and used their own vehicles to haul everything off. Very excited for them coming back to replace the windows and doors! Thank you Forbes Design Center! I would 100% used them again and recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on their house.

This is how they left my roof

Apparently they are unfamiliar with the fact that they are on Groupon so I had to call back when someone from the company was in the office to get on the schedule. They had availability for two weeks later. I wasn't in a rush so I don't mind the wait. I wasn't scheduled for the 12-4 time window. On the day of I had a work commitment that came up last minute. They were very accommodating when I called so I was pushed further back on the timeslot till after 3 PM so I could be home for the service. The technician Isaiah arrived and informed me what he was going to do. Afterwards he sent me a detailed report with photographs of my gutter system. Thankfully, everything looked good and I did not require any additional services after the cleaning and tuneup.

For the first time I realize I had been hearing a fair amount of outside noise (which I'd apparently gotten used to), because these windows/doors are soundproof; now I don't hear anything at all from outside! And even better, the windows are easy to open, and my sliding glass doors actually slide well in the track, and are not shaking and drafty when it's windy outside -- major improvements from my old, builder-grade, 20+ year-old windows/sliding door. Further, the service crew was excellent -- careful, kind, professional, efficient, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Roger, the foreman, has been doing this work for almost 30 years, and Jose, who single-handedly carried in/out the windows/doors, has been doing this work for 10+ years. I didn't get the name of the quiet third service person who was mostly outside and on the ladders, also very efficient. fyi, they did mention that working on the 4th floor of our condos from ladders was a bit more challenging as the original builder-grade windows had been made to fit by being packed/taped in place from the outside, which necessitated them having to actually break some of the glass to be able to pull the old windows out. But they did it - and did it well. Finally, Shaun, the project manager who gave me my estimate and oversaw the project from estimate, HOA approval process, to completion, was great. Highly recommended.

It's always scary when I have someone else doing work on my house. However, K. C. Construction and…read moretheir installers (Rigo Martinez & his crew) as well as the sales & pre installation inspector made me more comfortable and left me with no regrets. They did a fantastic job. Above and beyond what I had imagined. It is very nice to know that there are contractors that you can trust out there. I will certainly request Rigo's crew for the next batch of windows to be installed. Thank You

Update on review of Aug 5th. In interim between install and repair, a piece of trim came off and…read morewas blown from balcony in wind. The Pella repair man came today (Aug 20th) to finish install and replace missing trim. He cleaned up a lot of the dirty prints left behind on trim and in caulk on install, but did not have correct trim to replace trim that fell off. Wish he would have been here to guide the installers. They evidently are not experienced enough to work independently and could use supervision. The trim that fell off was not the correct trim for exterior. With trim missing between balcony door and transom over the door, it shows that the gap between is about 1/8" on outer edges and widens in middle to greater than 1/4" wide, then narrows to about 1/8" on other side. Gave me a clue as to why the trim fell off. I would conclude that lower door frame was not shimmed properly to be set level. It will likely be a few more weeks before correct trim piece can be ordered and the repair completed. Other residents in the condo community have been asking, and based on my experience, I cannot reccommend Pella.
