We are a no shoes household and he noticed that right away on entry and took his shoes off so that he didn't step on our carpet with his shoes. I appreciate his attention to details like that and being respectful. The price was reasonable at 220 to repair this. Rusty went above and beyond what we saw from other companies. We got quotes from many companies, but only Rusty went to the effort to search the house for possible sources of the problem. He provided several repair options and was upfront about which option he most recommended. Rusty also helped us pick out new lighting for the room being redone and showed us how to replace lighting ourselves in another room to match. We liked that, unlike other companies, Merrick had the ability to not just demolish and redo the drywall ceiling but also diagnose and repair any underlying structural issues. Merrick employed several rotating crews to do demolition, drywall installation, lighting installation, and painting. Each crew was professional, friendly, and completed the task well. Clean-up was excellent. Other than a weather interruption, the project finished on time. We communicated directly with Rusty throughout the project. Our only suggestion for improvement would be that sometimes we were not given an accurate estimate of when the crew would arrive. Upon immediate completion, the Merrick team's work looks great. The team of Rusty, Julio, Alex, Carter, Jorge, Jeff and more worked through some obstacles and made it all work seamlessly, on time and with a smile. In fact, my project was more on the "Build" side than the "Design" side of Merrick (although it required design solutions and reworkings as well) as I had a longtime friend as my kitchen designer. She's been in the biz 20+ years, and she noted in particular what I already knew - "they are putting such love into your project and really don't want to leave!" While it was technically a kitchen renovation at the heart, it was new flooring, new electrical panel, drop ceiling, painting, etc. and thus touched 2/3 of my home - all but bathrooms and bedrooms - which will be PHASE 2 and I will immediately be calling the Merrick Team AGAIN!
