We learned Crystal Exteriors from our neighbor who installed their window several years ago. We contacted Edgar in late May 2025 for initial assessment. Edgar went through brochures with professional knowledge and addressed all our questions. Within two days, Edgar provided the detail quote of the entire house window replacement. After further questions and answers, we signed the contract in late June. Before the ordering the materials, they made second visit to ensure validation of window size. In late July, Jamie and Ivan with three additional team members showed up to install all 27 windows. They also examined and assessed of the surrounding window frame's condition to determine if additional works required. The next day they performed perticulary details to wrap external window frame with aluminum protection. They examined and sealed all the inside and outside window frame, testing back and force to ensure window perform based on their professional standard and manufacturing requirements. We got a quick response to our online request for a quote and Edgar was at the house within a week and at a time that was mutually convenient to give us a quote. He was thorough in explaining the quote, including the "forks in the road" that might lead to a more expensive total cost. The pricing (including the possible expansion in scope & cost) was completely transparent. When it turned out that we had some rotten fascia and a flat roof that would need replacement, the team was diligent in sharing very clear photographs of the damage, as well as transparent that the flat roof repair we needed was not in their wheelhouse. I had my front door installed with a storm door as well. I love in a 1947 brick colonial and in its original form for the most part aside from the modern updates of wiring and all that jazz. Mr. Li is the man. I primarily stick to food reviews on yelp and honestly, when Mr. Li's guys started drilling and making god awful noises around 8am on a Saturday morning I wasn't happy. I was really quite livid. But at the end of the day we're super happy with the product (about 12 windows and a door). More importantly, I hope he doesn't mind me sharing this, but Mr. Li was grieving a loss in his family and still made sure the job was done. All during record breaking winds his team still showed up and did an awesome job. They sealed off our kitchen as they replaced the windows in a way I have never seen before. Like we could still do stuff in the kitchen as they worked while also minimizing the super cold temp. From the initial consultation to seeing how the guys worked during some pretty terrible weather conditions, we were impressed. Will definitely use again for other doors. When we moved into our house two years ago we knew we would need a number of new windows and some doors. One window with no storm window was so bad that it had ice on it on the inside in winter. We had a few different companies provide an estimate. When Mr. Li arrived he was clearly a step above the others who came to look at the scope of work. We had initially planned to replace five old windows, three entry doors, and three awful storm doors. Mr. Li suggested that, given the location of the doors, we likely would not benefit from the storm doors and told us to consider just putting on new quality doors--which would also save us money. No other person doing an estimate suggested this. The storm doors served no purpose in our particular case so why spend the money. He also looked at the windows. He left us with books and color cards. Initially we were afraid that his preferred window makers would be too costly for us, but when the estimate came it was close to what other lower-quality windows would cost. He provided a complete recommendation and estimate within two days, including colors, types, and other options, and he encouraged us to do our homework on which windows and doors would be best for us before making a decision. It was nice that there was zero pressure. We replied with a few questions and add-ons, which he clarified quickly via email. We decided to go with the company and scheduled installation across two days. We thought that the estimate was so fair that we opted to have nine old wooden panel windows replaced (adding in the basement ones) instead of five, which he had already measured. The installers were on time and worked hard for two days (basement level to three stories up in the attic) in rough summer heat. We were especially happy that they removed the windows from the outside instead of carrying them through the house. This protected our wooden floors and kept the dust and debris to a minimum. They were a great team. We have a nearly 70 year old house so a few areas are uneven and tricky. We noticed that one window was a little crooked and after showing the team, it was fixed the next days. We are so impressed at the quality of installation. Every door and window opens correctly and are cleanly caulked. Two doors needed new interior trim and that was well done. The doors even have have caulking to match the color of the door on the exterior. Everything was hauled for disposal and packed when they were done. The doors have made a huge difference in our quality of life. (Our old doors had a bunch of separate keys for each one and were hard to open from the inside.) We have also noticed that the house cools better and we can now open our attic windows to release heat and get cross ventilation. We still have one front door that we did not replace. We contracted with Crystal Exteriors for the replacement of our roof. Having completed other projects with them in the recent past, it was really a no-brainer to ask them to give us a recommendation. I called Jason to ask him to come by for an estimate, but a visit wasn't even necessary. We had an estimate that very same evening for a new roof with every possible material and contingency, and options ridge vents, pipe flashing, and chimney flashing, as well as additional costs for roofing plywood, if needed. We received an estimated installation window, even with the current shortage of construction materials. As it turned out, we later received a call from Jason to let us know that they could start a few days early. On the day for the installation, the crew showed up on time, with materials, and prepared to get started. Working expeditiously, they removed the old roof, install our new roof, cleaned up every nail and last piece of debris all in one day. We had the roof on this house replaced 25+ years ago. The previous roofer did a good job, but it took them 2 days to complete. A roof is a major investment in a home. It is the largest structure covering one's home. And it generally lasts between 15-20 years. If one does not choose the right company to do the roof, one will repent for years to come. After weeks of research I chose Crystal Exteriors. I am glad I did. The crew came yesterday and started the work of removing the shingles and putting on the new ones. They completed the job today. I watched them work and can tell you first hand that no other roofing company can do the kind of work they did. They removed the shingles and the black sheet under it and some places where the wood was bad they took that out and put new plywood. They replaced the skylight, too. Everything is BRAND NEW!! I could tell they were meticulous about doing the work. Even one of the owners, David, came 4 to 5 times to inspect the work. This company does not believe in doing mass production. They are a quality company with a very high quality crew that does high quality work. That is the bottom line. Everything is new on the roof. Even the flashing.
