I had my roof replaced by Central a few months ago and I had a great experience. My roof project was "complicated" in that there wasn't anything wrong with my roof. I just wanted it replaced because it was old as a preventative measure. A lot of roofing companies were trying to tell me either because nothing was wrong with my roof, I should leave it or they were trying to take something that wasn't an issue and blow it up and they were being predatory. I worked with Artem during this process and he was incredibly thoughtful, informative, and patient with me. Due to some changes in my job, I had to travel more than usual and I wasn't able to make a decision on my roof as quickly as I would have hoped. Artem walked me through different options and looked across quotes I had gotten to help me arrive at the right option for my home. He was really honest and didn't try to upsell me anything, which was a huge relief. When it came time for roof day, Artem stopped by a few times to make sure everything was going ok. The team showed up when they were suppose to. they did the final check like they said and sent me pictures. I was a little worried after the roof was replaced that I would get random leaks but honestly it's been a few months and everything is A-ok. This company was recommended by a family member who owns a very large construction business in Virginia. They replaced our roof, siding, gutters and added additional windows. Over 4 months ago we contacted the company concerning the improper installation of siding on the front entrance overhang. We forwarded pictures showing the siding had a large gap. A space large enough for birds to make a nest. Only after countless messages and phone calls have we received any response. And as of this date we have yet to get a human to take a look see as to the issues we have documented. We are seniors and it's so disrespectful the manner in which the company has responded to our concerns. read more

Our garage roof was leaking and starting to damage the wooden timbers. We had the roof replaced this August by Central Exteriors and highly recommend their work. The roofing replacement was excellent and the Central Exteriors team was prompt, professional, and easy to work with. They were on the job almost as soon as the contract was signed, unlike other contractors I've worked with who take your deposit and then disappear for weeks. They told us the work would be done in two days, which I didn't believed for a minute. And yet, the team arrived bright and early on the day promised and indeed finished the job in barely two days. The speed did not come at the cost of quality -- I had the benefit of a birds eye view from my home office! The team was incredibly hard working and their work was careful and thorough, including replacement of some of the water-damaged wood underneath the roof and repair of the rain gutter at the front of the garage. The cost estimate was reasonable and they gave us a further discount for also signing on our neighbor with an adjacent garage. After a fall and winter of substantial rain, we've been happy to see no further leaks. read more

I do not leave many one-star reviews, but I found this company to be unscrupulous. I'm also writing this one, because they keep spamming me to write them a review! Before we bought our house, the home inspector found minor roof repairs that he estimated would cost in the range of ~$500 (about 3 shingles needed to be replaced and some plywood changed out) and that we had ~5-10 years left on the roof. I arranged for an estimate from Central for the minor roof repair. First, they arrived early and I was not home yet and left by the time I came back. I called in that day to ask what the ballpark figure would be and was assured that it would definitely be less than $1000. I was naive enough to mention that 1) if we are happy with the repair, we will hire them to replace the room in the future, and that 2) I am very busy so did not get additional quotes but this price was fine. To my surprise, the written estimate was more than $1800! When I called back to ask if this was a mistake (did they add the 1 by mistake?), they said the entire 1/4 of my roof needed to be taken out and replaced. Then, they said that since I was going to pay $1800, I might as well replace the entire roof and tried to sell me a new roof in the ballpark of $10-20K! I do not appreciate this type of bait and switch tactic. As a woman homeowner, this has happened to me on multiple occasions and it is infuriating. I eventually got two more estimates, both came in under $1000. I picked the one from a licensed company with good reviews and paid around $700. When I told the estimator about my experience with Central, he was shocked. read more

We recently had our entire single-family home's roof replaced by Central Roofing and they did an excellent job from beginning to end. They did a great job at a very competitive price. There was a delay in starting the job but that was due to having to order a custom skylight to replace the old one and some very unforgiving weather. Once they started everything happened quickly! They finished replacing the entire roof on my house, skylight, and gutters within 2 1/2 days and they cleaned-up before they left. Central Roofing has Associates who are on top of communication and very helpful. We had our roof replaced by Central Roofing a few months ago and recently we decided to sell our home. During the inspection, the home inspector had number of requests to take care by the roofing company. Chris and Samantha have been very responsive and provided everything needed to get the real estate transaction go through. We really appreciate their eagerness to help and the conciseness. Took almost three months for them to tell me my more expensive composite slate roof shingle algae was not a warranty issue. Then they proceeded to give me instructions on how to get on the roof and clean the algae off myself or hire a contractor to do it. To make things worse prior to the final decision one of their employees came to my house to inspect the roof and told me they could potentially clean and seal the roof all under the warranty only for them to then deny that conversation occurred. Dan had to problem-solve an issue related to the style of my roof which caused a fan vibration (no fault of Central) and he was so helpful and gave outstanding service for the resolution. We have solar panels on the roof and they worked with us so we could remove them prior to roof installation everything went as planned seamlessly. I hired Central Roofing to replace a flat roof and install a couple of skylights. Communication was poor. Delays happened. The initial workmanship on the skylights was unacceptable. But worst of all: They installed lower grade material than what I contracted for and had agreed to pay for. The crew didn't clean the debris that fell into the house during installation (I'm not complaining, that was in the contract's details). As I was cleaning up the small mess, I noticed that the scraps of insulation were only 1/2 the thickness I'd specifically contracted for. I immediately wrote to Central Roofing to confirm. They not only installed something other than what I hired them to do, but they only offered to cover the cost difference in materials... which when you're talking about insulation, is ludicrous. Once a new roof is on, there's no way to replace the insulation under it. Fixing the problem would have required a complete redo. Since Central Roofing was so aggressively downplaying the severity of their error, I decided I didn't want their guys back on my roof. A forced contractor is not a good contractor. Since my contract specified the materials and I'd only paid the down payment, I figured the ball was in my court. After much deliberation, I offered to accept the job at 75% of the initial invoice. saving the single-star rating, they accepted the offer. Now I'm stuck with a roof that isn't as nice as the one I tried to buy, but at least I got this one at a discount. It's less than ideal, but at least it's done with. The final job does look nice, the skylights were reworked to my approval, and I haven't had any leaks. read more

My husband and I had roof damage in one of the recent storms. I made and appointment with Central for 8 AM, 2 weeks ago. By 8:30 I called. They said they would call me back once they figured out what was going on. No call, then when I called back, they said I was not in their system for an appointment and they hung up on me. We recently had a GREAT experience with Central Roofing and Siding. We just moved into a new house this Summer, and we discovered three separate leaks all within one hour during the recent heavy rains. We were worried we needed a new roof, so we called and spoke to Terry at Central. He sent someone out the very next day to look at our roof. Both Terry and the roofer who made the repairs (Walt) were very knowledgeable, and the price was great. They repaired our three leaks quickly, assured us that we did not need a new roof yet, and also made one additional repair to prevent a possible future leak. We had an excellent experience with this company. During the heavy rains from last fall, my Mother's house needed a new roof. We received a few estimates and Central's was the most informative and much less expensive then one high pressure company. They did not pressure me at all, which was great. The company has been in business for a long time and they were very knowledgeable and more importantly honest. The job went perfectly. I would definitely recommend using them for roofing work. Everything was fast from getting a quote to scheduling the day on which the roof would be replaced. They finished replacing the entire roof on my house within a day and a half and during the process replaced 4 skylights and changed 13 pieces of plywood that had to be replaced. They cleaned-up very nicely before they left. I've had no issues so far and after the 2016 east coast winter storm the roof passed with flying colours with no issues at all. I highly recommend them for roofing related work. I might use them for future work on my home as I know they do siding and windows too. read more

I used Central a few years ago to install a new roof and they did an excellent job. We once had a small leak after a heavy snow and they came out the next day to repair it and it's never leaked since. I decided to get an estimate from them for new windows. I chose Andersen and wound up ordering from them. I have a number of odd shaped and large windows so to be sure everything was measured accurately they bought out the Andersen rep. They just finished installing the windows and I am thrilled with the work. Not only did they meticulously take down all my drapes and blinds, they rehung everything perfectly and always cleaned up at the end of every day. They were as nice as could be to work with, I love my new windows, and they did such an amazing job. I would highly recommend using Central exteriors for roofing and/or window replacement. read more

On 2/19/2014, Central installed a roof on my house. Despite our political & sport team differences, Eric Kibler (Mgr.) was professional in his presentation of the job proposal. His pricing of the job was similar to those offered by the other roofing companies that had come out. However, what "Sealed-the-Deal" for me w/ Central was that Eric was the only contractor who thought it considerate enough to call me back to ask if he could do anything to aid in my decision process. I told him I'd get back w/ him. On 2/18/14 (Tues.) approx. 12:10pm, 2 courteous workers arrived and unloaded boxes from a large flat bed truck. They were finished at 12:30pm. On 2/19/14 (Wed.) approx. 12 pm, 5 -6 roofing guys showed up and proceeded to install roofing shingles. When the wife & I returned home at 4:10pm, the roofers were gone (for the last hour, it had rained sporadically). Inspecting the roofing job, we discovered that the roofers hadn't pulled up the dangling cable wires in the back of he house (as promised earlier by Eric). We called to inform Eric of the problem. Eric assured us that his guys would return tomorrow to complete the job. On 2/21/14 (Fri.) 4pm, 2 guys from Central Roofing showed up. I informed them that yesterday, we had our siding company pull up and secure the dangling wires. One of the guys said "good b/c he doesn't "mess with wires." I informed him that it was part of the contract that Central's roofers would pull up & clamp the wires to or under the shingles during the roofing instillation. The 2 Central guys left at 4:08pm. As of this review (a month post roofing installment), we've been pleased with the shingle instillation by Central & the responsive communications w/ Eric Kibler. read more

I've read the customer reviews and I guess those people who have a good experience aren't as quick to write a review. Any company is going to have some bad reviews. Many people in my neighborhood have used this company and all are beyond thrilled with the work and the price. This is a company that works with honesty and integrity. I had many, many estimates and my main reason for writing this review is because I had many of the "slick" companies come out with way higher quotes offering to take it down some if we promised to write promising yelp reviews. Too bad this company is more focused on work than trying to bs clients. You could probably find a more "polished" company with swarmy salespeople for 3 times the price. Nothing's perfect. Because they are a small business, there aren't maybe as fast as getting back to people as the 1-800 type businesses paying thousands for advertising and call centers. No biggie. We also had a skylight crack and they replaced it within two weeks at no charge. Small inconveniences and small price to pay for the HUGE amount we saved (like thousands) and the fact that we were dealing with an honest, hardworking family run business who didn't pressure us at all. I have never written a review before, but I feel this is warranted. I'm coming to their defense. They are a great company and I have been extremely happy with their leverl of service and communication thus far. I have an extremely tight schedule with work so there is no wiggle room for me to come home in the middle of the day and wait around. I explained this to Eric when scheduling an estimate. He was so kind and accommodating that he showed up at my door at 7 AM, like promised. Seriously, 7 AM. Admittedly, they were the most expensive of the 3 estimates I received for installing a new flat roof. But, I firmly believe the poor man pays twice. They haven't completed the work yet, but the customer service has been unparalleled thus far. And they didn't charge me for an estimate. I contacted four roofing companies to request qoutes for a roof replacement. Central provided a quote which was a little lower than teh next lowest quote and much lower than the two others. But, that is not the sole reason I chose them. I was very impressed with the salesman and the description of the scope of work was complete. They only asked for a very small deposit before strtig the work. The work was completed on schedule and the worksite was cleaned up very well. The roof and new gutters look gret. Central Roofing - Fabulous job - Crew removed old roof, laid a new roof, and installed vent ridge system and new gutters in 1.5 days on our 4 bedroom, detached garage. Roofing crew (5 - 7 men at any one time) did their jobs skillfully and efficiently. Obviously they have done many jobs! The quoted price was not the cheapest, nor was it the most expensive, We would highly recommend this company.... By the way clean-up was thorough - only found one nail in our garden after the job was completed. Fully insured and bonded and 10 year warranty on all work. read more
