Ran into a couple of PHR guys at a "home show". We have had an estimate from a few years back but other projects and covid got in the way. PHR sent out their sales rep, Matt, and he gave us a review of services and estimated the cost. Whole home reside, new soffits, new facsia, new gutters (upgraded to 5 inch). After almost 30 years...the siding was looking sad. Also, the way our house was built, you could hear neighbors dropping change in their driveway. The rep showed us the foam backed siding and we went with the 6 inch flat to change the look of our 4 inch home depot builder grade siding. CJ contacted us and came out with the final measurements. Re-calculated the estimate and came up with a $500 savings for us. cool. Two weeks later Gustavo showed up with his crew and started work taking off siding, putting up a moisture barrier and residing the house. I pointed out a couple of cables that I needed saved if possible and the old UHF antenna that could be removed. The crew worked from 7am to 6:30PM and spent another half hour cleaning up around the house. They did this 3 days straight and finished the siding, soffits and fascia by 6pm on the 3rd day. Everything looked AWESOME!!! A major upgrade for the house. The next day the gutter crew showed up and put seamless gutters up in a few hours and even added another downspout where the builder cheaped out and put only 1 down spout in the back of the house. The entire project took 4 days and the crews cleaned up everyday at the end of the day. We could not be happier with the results. We have gotten quite few positive comments from the neighbors. it looks like a brand new house! (on the outside at least :-) ) Some notes: Communication was constant, consistent throughout the process. Pricing, when you see the quality of the product they are putting up compared to the cheap builder grade they are taking off....you realize you get what you pay for. Sound! OMG! My house is quiet now!!!! I cannot hear every little thing that happens on the street or behind us. It is transformative!!! Professional....the crews were all business and worked all day. The trim work is very detailed and tight. They brought things to my attention that I had forgotten about , speakers in the soffits (forgot about them...but they are hooked back up now :-), ethernet cabling I ran to the second floor (wireless was not a thing in the 90's). Sales process: You will see a lot of negative comments about their sales motion, it is what it is. If you are just kicking tires with no intent to buy....it will be frustrating for you. But, if you are seriously looking to have work done, you appreciated the detail and time they take explaining the entire process. Financing: We qualified for a HUGE chunk of financing, in the end, we paid for the job upon completion and walk through. The interest rate was higher than I liked but if needed it was there. When we informed PHR we would be cutting a check, they canceled the financing immediately. No questions asked. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. I will admit, I was worried about how the project would go after reading some of these reviews and I am pleased it went very well. I would recommend PHR in heart beat. read more

Wow! Is this the same company that just did our windows? After reading all the reviews, I literally FREAKED OUT that Power was coming out to do our windows this month. I mean, they obviously suck at roofs. What would they do to our door, shutters, and pretty much every window that needs to be installed correctly, calked, etc. in our house??!!! I gave myself panic attacks prior to this past Friday when everything was put in. The long and the short of it is that these guy did a GREAT job with putting in our windows. The team was right on time and kept us informed every step of the way. We had a terrible ant problem in one part of our kitchen which turned out to be wood rot all around that kitchen window. The team cleaned out all the rot and replaced the wooden frame. Any time they had to make a slight change to anything around the windows in order to install them correctly, they informed us. The project manager was especially kind. When they installed the new door, they had to take out the old doorbell. He showed me how the old doorbell was falling apart and asked if we had a new one he could install for us. I told him we didn't. He showed me the size he'd need and offered a suggestion on the look of the new doorbell, then he and his team waited for over *30 minutes* so I could race to Home Depot and purchase a new one which he installed for us free of charge. Now THAT'S customer service. There was one hiccup though: a few days after they installed the new windows and doors, the screen on one of our sliding glass doors popped off its track. My husband and I tried to reinstall it, but were afraid of messing up anything and voiding the warranty. After reading some of the reviews on here, the LAST thing I wanted to do was void the warranty. Plus, since so many had had bad experiences, I wanted to see if they really would provide good customer service AFTER installation. It was a Sunday, so I left a message and pretty much figured they'd never get back to me and I'd have to call them back. Nope. They called to confirm the next available appointment twice. When Brett showed up he took his time to make sure the slider was completely on its track. Then he called his manager to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I asked why everyone was double and triple checking work. Guess what? Apparently, they had some real yahoos who did shoddy workmanship and were fired. It looks like Power has read these reviews, found the culprits, and have gotten their act together. In short, I can't speak for those here who've had bad experiences with using these guys for roofing. What they went through it awful. But if you are looking for high-quality windows, doors, and shutter, I can't recommend this company enough. Yes, it's more expensive than Anderson and other window companies, but we've already noticed a cooler home and far less noise from the outside since putting in the new windows. Plus, my neighbor who used Anderson 15 years ago told me his windows aren't in as good shape as he thought they'd be. You get what you pay for, and when it comes to windows from Power, you really are getting the best. read more

I recently met with a salesman for 4.5 hours, but to be honest, my mind was already made up before we even sat down. I was about 90% sure I was going to sign up, and the only thing that would change my decision was if the cost was outside of my budget. Fortunately, the salesman was excellent and made me feel at ease throughout the presentation. His personable approach and clear explanation of the details only reinforced my initial instincts, making me feel even more confident in my decision. I signed a contract on Friday, January 24th, and was told I had three days to cancel if needed. However, an unexpected issue has arisen with my main door and frame, which requires immediate attention. As I reviewed the contract, I realized I wasn't clear on whether the three-day cancellation period refers to business days or calendar days. When I tried to contact the company on Saturday, January 25th, I found out they were closed at 1 pm and would also be closed on Sunday. This has left me wondering if my cancellation window is based on business days, which would mean I have until Wednesday, January 29th to cancel, or if it includes weekends, which would give me a shorter timeframe. I'm eager to clarify this and understand my options. After signing the contract, I realized I didn't have a copy of it, either via email or a physical document left behind. The 4.5-hour meeting had been overwhelming, and I was now trying to recall the details of our conversation from Friday. As I thought back, I remembered the salesman quoting a monthly payment amount, but when I did the math, I had asked about the interest rate and the number of months. However, the numbers didn't seem to add up, and I was left with unanswered questions. I also noticed some discrepancies in the contract, such as the total number of windows - I have 16, but the contract stated 18. Additionally, my two picture windows were counted as four, which didn't make sense to me. Without a copy of the contract, I'm having trouble verifying the terms of our agreement, and I'm worried that I may have missed something important. Please consider this email as formal notice of my intention to cancel the contract I signed on Friday, January 24th. I am also requesting a separate estimate for the repair of my front entrance door. As your office is closed for the remainder of the day and on Sundays, I am sending this email to ensure that my request is documented and to provide public notice of my decision to terminate the contract. I would appreciate it if someone could contact me on Monday to provide the estimate for the door repair. read more

We just had our roof replaced by Power. Not only did they have skilled installers in using very high quality products (with a 50 yr warranty that not only is transferable if you ever sell your house, but they will come do any repairs/fixes for free if there is ever any issues), but they got the job done much faster than anticipated. We bought our home a year ago and knew that we only had 1-2 good years left in our roof, so when some of the guys advertising Power in the neighborhood knocked on our door, my fiance immediately booked a free estimate. Not only did Power quote us some very comparable prices, but we got an extra discount for being BJ's Wholesale Club members! Danny was great to talk to and work with. When the roof was installed, we were told to expect it to be an all day process, but the guys were super efficiently and managed to get our entire roof replaced, chimneys re-flashed, and venting system done in just 6 hours (7a-1p)!! There was a threat of rain so they wanted to get the job done in time, instead of leaving us with a bare roof. Not only did we get thunderstorms that night, but it rained pretty consistently over the course of the next week. A true test of our new roof, and it has held up exceptionally well with no leaks and no issues! On top of that, we were so pleased with the quality of the work done, that we are also getting our old gutters replaced! Now that we have had work down with Power, all future jobs can be done for a huge discount as a repeat customer (the cost of the gutters added on to the cost of the roof only bumped our payments up $9/month!). I am very happy with the work that Power did. Should we ever need to do any work on our basement windows, attic insulation, or anything else, we will definitely be calling them back for additional work! Thanks! **As an addendum, I noticed that most of the negative reviews here are from people who had NO work done by Power at all, but instead were turned off by some of the door-to-door salesmen they encountered that were offering free estimate appointments. It should be noted that those salesmen are not directly related to Power - they work for another company that Power hires to spread word of mouth marketing, find perspective new clients, etc. But, the people working for that other company really are not a reflection of what you will get when you work with Power Home Remodeling - it's a completely different entity. read more

I replaced my 25 year old badly failing sliding glass door with this company on September 8th, 2018. My first contact with them was the 3rd week in June 2018. One of the most pain free experiences I've ever had. From start to finish, smooth sailing with this company. From the start, I told them I do not respond to aggressive sales tactics, and if I even get a whiff of aggression, I will stop any and all communication. They exceeded my expectations! My sales rep that came out to my house was a complete joy to work with. Professional, not pushy. Just the right sales tactics, in fact, I wouldn't mind hanging out with her... she was WAY cool! I never felt pressured ever by Power. Installation was painless as well. After the install guys left, I couldn't even tell anyone had even entered my house....in fact, they cleaned up so well, that my house was cleaner than when they entered! (LOL) Now that the cold weather is making its presence known, there is a noticeable difference in my room. The room feels WAY warmer and cozier than before. The door is substantially superior to my previous sliding door. I can't wait for warmer weather to see if it helps in keeping that room cooler, as that rooms bears the brunt of the afternoon sun. After installation, an hour or two later a job foreman came by to meet with me to make sure that the installation was satisfactory and to check their work. This is the only time I felt a little bit of pressure, as he tried to get me to replace my windows throughout my house. (A standard sales practice that I was expecting at some point, but he was not aggressive about it!) I DO have one minor complaint with Power and it IS minor. It took nearly 3 months to get my sliding glass door installed. I was told it had to do with it being custom made. Not sure I buy that explanation, being that it was a standard size sliding door with no extra bells and whistles. I realize that it was a small job, and they probably had bigger, higher profiting jobs than my little sliding glass door. A rep from the company was doing a walk around and asked if I wanted a free quote. I'd been looking to do the siding and windows for quite a while and figured... why not... I read the reviews on yelp, etc. 99% of the poor reviews were due to their sales tactics and for the most part, rave reviews on their installation and quality. Their sales rep came out and spent a few hours on the sales pitch. We've all been there and done that. He was not pushy. Very friendly. Knew his products. Persistent...yes... thats his JOB. ALL of this was something I expected. It is, after all, a sales pitch. In the end, decided to have the siding and windows done by them. The window crew showed up right on time. The replacement could NOT have been smoother. The installers were very professional and had the entire job done in 5 hours. One of the installers commented on how he wishes all the windows on all their jobs were as easy as ours. Could not be happier with the windows. Crew cleaned up everything and one could hardly tell that any work had been completed. The siding crew came in next. A blazing hot day. They showed up on time, went out of their way to make sure everything went smooth. They had to make a few changes in a couple of areas and did so without any issues at all. Extremely professional. They did have to come back a second day and wrap things up. Spent a lot of time making sure everything was right and that ALL of the area was cleaned and back as it was to begin with. Did as much sweeping for nails as I wanted. Again, I couldn't be happier. From start to finish, very professional. The sales pitch? OK. Its a sales pitch. They want your business. We recently had Power Home Remodeling Group replace our siding, gutters, and cap the exteriors of recently replaced windows and I can say the experience was great! I'm not sure how PHRG is doing so poorly on Yelp. It seems as if most of the reviews are complaints about the sales strategy. Good salesmanship is closing. Period. Having done sales and international relations, I can attest to the efficient strategy employed by PHRG and had no problem with the sales representatives. We received exactly what we wanted in the time projected. Project timeline. With regards to projected time for project completion, PHRG met their projected deadline even during inclement weather. Having done home remodeling myself, I understand the variables and unpredictability of remodeling and the potential for extended project time. In the end, I would rather my contracted service take longer and do it the right way the first time. Pricing. I sought other estimates from local remodeling firms and while the prices were a little higher for PHRG, I found their customer attention and quality of work worth the peace of mind. Again, our installation is recent, so only time will tell the value of our investment. Quality. Our home is over 50 years old and the HVAC has always struggled to maintain a proper temperature. After the team completed our siding (to include new wrap and foam core siding) there was a noticeable (positive) difference in the regulation of temperature in our home. Installers. The installation team was professional and welcomed my periodic inspection of their work. What doesn't get checked, doesn't get done. The installation was detailed and appears correct; time will tell. PHRG will get five stars after our remodel has endured a full set of seasons. read more

Power Home Remodeling replaced 21 windows in my house. I wish I had 21 more windows to be replaced so I could hire them again!! The job was completed in one day, the crew cleaned up everything, the people I dealt with called when they said they would and followed up when they said they would. Dealing with Power Home Remodeling for this project was the best decision I have ever made! Talk about high quality windows - OMG! With the weather being what it's been for the past couple of weeks, I've been running around the house opening all the windows to let fresh air in because I CAN!! And they weren't kidding when they said these windows blocked outside noise - honestly, I felt like when the windows were closed, I was in a soundproof booth - unbelievable! So, I was so happy with them that I hired them to replace my roof! I have been hating my roof now for the past seven years. The folks who did my roof 12 years ago must have used cheap shingles and my roof had those dark streaks from the shingles "shedding" the little stones on them. Ugly, ugly, ugly! Now, I have a beautiful new roof with a 50-year warranty. My experience with the roofing crew was exactly like my experience with the window crew. The job was completed in one day, they cleaned up everything and I couldn't be happier. The only downer for me was that the guy who was supposed to mow my lawn the day before couldn't do it because his truck broke down. So the roofers had to clean up in long grass which couldn't have been easy. Anyway, the guy who mows my lawn got his truck fixed and was able to come the day after to mow my lawn. OK, better late than never. Bottom line is I wish I had another roof that needs to be replaced because I would hire them again to do it!! read more

From Anthony's visit to our door one cold afternoon , things have been great dealing with all the people we have met from Power Home Remodeling. Scott and Patrick came over that same evening and sold the company, making the windows sound better than sliced bread or a warm cheeseburger. Pre-install visit from Robert was quick as he slid around the house measuring windows. The best part was installation of 26 windows including a picture window in living room and custom bay in our family room. Thank you for a great team of professionals- we want to thank our installers , Jorge, Clemente, Eric and Ernesto. It was a 2 day job, Nick called both days to give us a greeting and arrival times of the team. The first day a second team dropped off the bay window as a favor for Jorge, and to help finish the first day's job . Joe was on a nearby job, so he stopped by to check out the progress. He is a traveling man! Todd and Edwin brought the bay window and then pitched in to help. Does Power have a basketball team for Todd? Edwin vacuumed and swept floors after the windows were in, though not much mess with all the tarps they had put down prior to the job. That evening we were visited by Adam, our QA and rug\furniture mover ! He actually crawled under the bed to fix the rug and bed supports. Power really has some customer service! We were given lots of information, and will be installing new gutters next. The second day greeted Jorge, Eric and Ernesto with a blizzard as they prepared to install the bay window. Very professional and personable company. They deliver on what they say -- a great product and great service. We had at the salesman come by to check out our roof to see if we needed it replaced. Turns out he said our roof looked great and we did not need it replaced. Then my husband, not the salesman, asked about window replacement. We had several drafty window areas that had been a concerned that we had been putting off for a while. The salesman seamlessly and very personably transitioned into checking out our windows and providing us with very detailed information about the windows and the service they provide. We decided to replace 9 of our worst windows. The follow-up pre-inspection happened timely as well as the scheduled install. On the day of the install, everything went well and the workers were very mindful of doing a great job all in one day, and they were respectful of our home while they were working. Like many people commented, the post install inspection that same evening does turn into a sales pitch, but we didn't mind and actually decided to do 4 more windows and his trained eye actually found an issue with 2 widows that he wants to fix. Also, as others have mentioned it is a very time consuming process as far as the sales pitch, etc, but with such a nice, friendly group of guys and with a premium product my husband and I feel it is very worth it. One word or advice to those considering going with PHRG- and I highly recommend you do because they are great -- don't take the first, second, or even third price they offer. Haggle to get a better price, they will come down. Overall, a great bunch of guys with a fantastic product. read more

I'm extremely impressed with this company. From the young man who first knocked on our door, to the rep that came out and explained the process, to the installers who were professional, courteous and just very pleasant young men. I'm also impressed with the gentleman who came out to re-measure the windows, for perfection, and the gentleman who came out today to make sure the work was satisfactory to us. All of the men that we've dealt with in the last 3 weeks were sincerely considerate of our time. They showed up when they said they would and always called beforehand to check if it was still okay with us. Communication is very important to us and this company communicated every step of the way. I can't say enough good things about the installers - they worked hard and efficiently. They were polite and friendly and never asked for anything from us. When they were done working in one area, they left it cleaner than it was when they started. The way they removed the old windows made me believe they were extremely experienced, that belief was confirmed by the way they installed the new windows. We've only had our new windows for a few hours but I can certainly FEEL the difference, HEAR the difference (actually not hear the neighbors barking dogs or cars driving by) and definitely SEE the difference. I am very, very happy with our beautiful new windows and the fair price we paid...a simply amazing value! Doors and siding are next and I can't wait! I first heard of this company when a young man knocked on my door asking if we needed an estimate for our windows. We had been thinking of possibly doing them so I decided to go ahead with the estimate. Before I let them come out I checked online and saw many mixed reviews, both good and bad which made me a little concerned if I made the right choice. We decided to go ahead with the estimate which I'm very happy to say I did. The salesman took his time explaining the products in detail which I appreciated very much. I knew replacing windows was going to be expensive and I would like someone to tell me exactly what I'm getting, not just give me a price and that be it. I think people on these review sites have issues with this company's sales pitch taking a long time, but if you're going to be spending thousands of dollars on windows, wouldn't you want to have all the information and know whT you're getting? Anyways we signed up to have 6 windows replaced. The crew of 2 men worked so hard the entire time, it was finished in 1 day and they even vacuumed! I'm VERY happy I decided to use Power for my window replacement. We've just agreed to have more work done by them and I have no doubt we're going to love that as well. If you're serious about upgrading your home, take the time to learn what that company is going to do when they come out. We had estimates in the past where people came out, left a number, and expected us to make a decision or call them back. No thank you! Our experience with the installation and the actual windows was fantastic, the most professional work ever done on my house. Great communication, everything cleaned up very well afterwards; they made certain we were happy and knew how the windows worked. Great windows by the way, installed very well in out very non-standard (shoddy really) window frames. Sales experience? Well, I don't doubt it has been very bad for some people, because we had a horrendous experience with another similar company, and I believe people when they tell of obnoxious salesmen. Our salesman, however, heard my complaint about the 'other guy' and was either (a) more professional or (b) smart enough to adjust his style! Our salesman was fine. Yes, the 'gotta-do-it-now-to-get-this-great-price' was annoying, especially when I told them before I was absolutely not going to decide on the spot. So, be ready for that. Even if the salesman is nice and professional, they are going to demand you commit right then to get the best price. I don't think it's possible to get better windows installed better than what I got. And, you'll pay for that. If you're building a new house, holy crap start with these windows when you build! If you're need to replace your windows and you'll be living there for a long time, consider Power Home Remodeling, especially for trouble areas where you lose a lot of Heat/AC or have a difficult window situation. I love these beautifully installed amazing windows that will keep my heat pump from exploding. read more

I noticed a few negative reviews, mostly related to the sales pitch, we must have lucked out, our sales pitch was not bad at all. I have a background in construction and they were able to answer all my questions on their products. The biggest selling point was the lifetime transferable warranty. Most companies don't offer anything like that or its limited to material or labor for a short time. Our property is an investment and this definitely will go a long way. They kept true to their appointment times and always addressed concerns that I brought up. We opted for the roof to be redone, at first they said 1 day but after the initial inspection they requested 2 due to the pitch and the upcoming weather conditions. They were still able to finish within that first day. All the workers were very nice and kept everything organized and clean. The follow on inspection raised some questions and they offered additional products but again it was in regards to my concerns and some damage that had occurred to the roof from gutter issues. They offered their gutters to be added to the project in a manner to keep it in my budget and also preventing future problems. This addition also included a lifetime transferable warranty. All and all a really good experience i think if you ask the right questions and do your research, not just compare overall cost but compare the quality of products used and the warranty offered you will find PHRG a very good company and a solid investment. read more

After reading all the reviews on here, I was very hesitant about it all. But realizing it's the sales representatives making the reviews and not the actual work, I felt a good review was needed. But I can see people not wanting to deal with the reps if they are pushy. We came across this company at a boat show. The lady, I can't remember her name because I thought my husband was entertaining her, was very nice. She did have on the "sales rep" attitude. However, We definitely needed our siding replaced so why not get a quote? The gentleman that came to our house, Reece, was also very nice. Not pushy at all otherwise I would've nicely shown him the door in spite of what my husband thought or wanted. We ending up going through with the process to replace the siding, the gutters, covered our trimming. Even though I felt the cost of it was a little too high for my liking. However, I am cheap and we've dealt with my cheap side during the renovations that hasn't worked out so well. The crew was fast and professional. We thought they hit an electrical wire and they had no objections to us getting an electrician. Which should be obvious but it ended up that my husband and I wired the outlets wrong. Steve, the project manager, was so very understanding with it all. He also helped move a light fixture that I felt wasn't centered. So overall... we had a pleasant experience. Most importantly the house looks amazing. My OCB self is extremely satisfied with it all. read more

Approximately seven years ago, my husband and I contracted with Power Home Remodeling to replace all the original windows in our 60 year old home. I was not home at the time of installation but my husband was thoroughly impressed with the efficiency of the crew that replaced 13 windows. We were told there was a replacement warranty on all of the windows in the event of breakage or other damage. Frankly, we did not place much merit in the warranty promise. Late in the fall of last year, we noticed our large picture window, in the living room, seemed to have a "broken" seal and we could see a film developing between the two panes of glass. I "forgot" about it until December when I noticed it again. I called Power about the problem and they wanted to send someone out immediately to replace the window! As it was December and our Christmas tree sits in front of that window and because of the extreme cold temperatures we had been having, I delayed the replacement until today. Their Field Service Manager, Brandon G., came to do the replacement. Although we were concerned because it was so cold and windy today, Brandon was totally efficient. While the prep and finish work took 20-30 minutes the actual amount of time that the window was "open to the elements" was probably less than a minute or two. Brandon is a fine employee and is very friendly and polite. We are extremely happy with Power Home Remodeling and all of their service technicians. read more
