Potomac Pizza - Steak and cheese - Pizza Near Me - Potomac, Maryland

Decided to pop in for lunch. I had a great buffalo chicken wrap and hot wings, only to learn that wings are also 25% off on Wednesdays! Planning to come in next Sunday as I learned they'll be airing the Super Bowl and have beer/wine! Highly recommend if you're in the area. read more

I haven't had their pizza in a while, but did order a cheesesteak recently while hanging out next door at the beer place. It was the smallest most disgusting steak and cheese I've ever had, it looked like it spent a day on a hotdog roller at 7-11. And stop making fries at all, you have 5 Guys next you - enough said. read more

They continue to make some of the better calzones around! Built my own and it's always fantastic. They don't skimp on marinara sauce either! I never really tried anything else, but I will next time I'm in the area. read more

I've lived in New York City, and I'm going to be blunt here: in my humble opinion, Potomac Pizza offers better slices with better toppings than any comparable joint in the big apple. Their veggies are huge and flavorful. Their meats are tasty, with just the right amount of oil and salt. The slices are greasy, but not too greasy, and the crusts both fluffy and crispy, making them perfect to wipe up any cheese grease that's dripped off. As I write this review, we're currently in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. I grabbed two slices on my way home, both with sausage, onion and mushrooms. Now, granted, getting the toppings added to individual slices is never the same as getting them cooked into a whole pizza, but regardless: If those were the last two slices of pizza I ate before succumbing to the pandemic, I could honestly die a content man. The slices were piled high, and each bite was as satisfying as the one that came before it. I've made my decision: Potomac Pizza is my favorite pizza. Period. I highly recommend. read more

great pizza, crust is fantastic. A quality find as we were driving through!

I love the pizza here!!! Personally I like getting a cheese with mushrooms, but I also think the calzones are stellar. The crust is perfectly chewy/crispy, and everything tastes super fresh. I feel like it's one of those perfectly thin greasy slices of pizza that will never do you wrong. Also, the service is great! Andy, the manager, is so attentive and friendly and really goes above and beyond to make your experience excellent. I love this place and can't wait to go back read more

The pizza was awesome, and we have been here several times since our first visit. The subs are delicious and the staff is very friendly.

I've been going to this location since 2010. I'm rating it a 5 star not only because of the service, but because it feels nice to be greeted and served by familiar faces. The fact that Potomac pizza has kept most of their employees makes this place a great casual, neighborhood restaurant. The staff is super nice, the service is quick and the food is always fresh. They have an extensive menu, always cooked and served to perfection. I would definitely recommend this place for a kids birthday party, quick bite with friends or family pizza night at home. They have a quick delivery system as well! read more

Wow! Potomac Pizza, we love you! We (the Avalon and Brookewood middle school swim teams) came virtually unannounced, just 30 of us, so no big deal! Ha. They handled us with great welcoming and poise. Thanks to the manager Jim for setting aside the small side of the restaurant for us. We had mixed, complicated orders and came in a gaggle. Every item we ordered came out correctly, quickly and deliciously. At every moment we were waited on cheerfully and every question was answered. It was the kind of service you alway hope for but rarely find. Our server, Jose Lopez, slipped between tables like Lionel Messi moves between defenders. We were treated like kings and queens. We will be back. I'll even make the drive from Damascus with my family! Thank you for some great pizza and service! Highlights were pepperoni pizza and bacon cheese fries! read more

Potomac Pizza - Fun pizza making at school? - Pizza Near Me - Potomac, Maryland

I called with about 15 minutes before they closed but they took care of me. One of my favorite pizza place and the wings were amazing too.

Potomac Pizza is a neighborhood gem! Everyone loves their cheese pizza and their white pizza is spectacular!! Also, don't forget to order their amazing jalapeño poppers! read more

Super great pizza with excellent service wonderful friendly environment with excellent cheese fries mozzarella sticks chicken fingers. Christian is the best server and Andy the managing partner is exceptional. I have been coming here for many years and ill be back again soon! read more

This restaurant gets 5 stars for service and community. The atmosphere is a casual, family restaurant, that isn't trying to be anything fancy. They host a lot of pizza parties for sports teams, school events, and family groups, and they have it down to a science. You'd think group of 20 kids would phase the staff, but they never keep anyone waiting longer than 15 minutes for their food. Speaking of the food, it's always fresh and generously portioned. While it's a pizza place first and foremost, their salads are popular and made with fresh vegetables, and their sandwiches hit the spot (especially the meatball sub and chicken parm, though I know the steak and cheese is popular). My mom adores the Mexican Pizza with jalapeños. If you're not on a diet, get an order of the cheese fries ;) read more

You can get more than just pizza here(subs, calzones, pasta) , but how can you resist their homemade sauce and non-fat dough? The pizzas I've had are always excellent. I love a pizza with lots of cheese and a chewy crust. It's in the burbs, but they have a new location at Chevy Chase Circle which is a bit closer in. I've had take out from there, and the pizza is just as good. The only gripe about the Potomac location is that the wait staff is not very attentive and there are usually lots of families with lots of little tykes and also lots of teenagers being teenagers. read more

Solid 3.5 stars! Surprisingly decent pizza in Potomac, at least for take out and delivery! We did take out and the restaurant was full of soccer teams...definitely a family friendly place! (And probably horrible for date night) The medium pizzas here are only 12 inches so the definitely smaller than the average medium. A Large cheese pizza is $15.99 and the specialty pizzas can be up to $20.00. We tried cheese and pepperoni pizzas and they were both somewhere between an amazing version of Pizza Hut pizza and a thicker crust version of a slice of NYC pizza. The taste was very good and for me this location is very convenient. read more

Recent first time customer here. Pizza left me disappointed. While its toppings (roasted pepper and broccoli) were delicious, there was hardly any tomato sauce over the dough, which for me makes or breaks the pizza. Maybe the person who made my pizza was skimpy, or possibly light on the sauce is the restaurant's protocol. read more

Excellent pies, with a terrific variety... also some most excellent calzones and salads... This place is always packed with kids in the weekend... so be ready for a lot of family noise... The service is quick and good, and the drinks big and continuously coming.... on the pricey side for pizza (but this is Potomac after all), but they have a great deal on Tuesdays is you want to stock up on a second pie for 99 cents. read more

Love that this pizza place is kid friendly. The staff were fantastic, respectful and helpful. The pizza calzone and fries were delicious and served hot. The perfect spot to go after enjoying the park. read more

On May 5th, I picked up my order of 11 pizzas. They were hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The staff was very helpful and friendly. They even assisted me out to my vehicle with all the pizzas. The inside of the restaurant looked very inviting and comfortable. The Manager Andy and his team members have always been very nice and helpful and continue to do a great job! We will be back soon!! Thanks for everything!! You guys made my daughters 5th birthday a very happy day with some great pizzas!! read more

I have been going to Potomac Pizza in Potomac for many years. The food is very good. Good for a casual meal. Sandwiches are delicious. Salads good However, I am not enamored of the tomato sauce used on the pizza and other dishes. read more

Mediocre pizza.. but my expectations weren't high considering the other reviews I read. Still, I wanted to give them a try and I bought a groupon for a $10 large pizza and I decided to try the white pizza. Bland... bland! Although the general consensus here has been BAD customer service I am happy to report that I didn't experience any of that (I did order carry out though). The staff was friendly (on the phone and in person) and my pizza was prepared quickly. I came here on a Friday evening and they weren't that busy, so I'm sure that had a little to do with it :-) So, will I be back? Probably not... I'll stick w/Pines of Rome in Bethesda... YUMMERS! read more

Don't get the chicken salad. I've had it many times. The menu says it's generous chunks of white meat. It used to be. Now it's shredded mush like from a 1970s cafeteria. Truly awful. Last time I ordered one, I got home to find out it was a chicken breast sandwich, not chicken salad like I had ordered. I give up. read more

I guess I'm finally finished with this place. It's really unfortunate because I love my white pizza with spinach ricotta, but the new manager can't get an order right and then is not interested in making it right. I called in an order for 2 large pizzas one with anchovies on the side. I received a large and a small. Called back and Guillermo couldn't seem to comprehend that I ordered large not small and was not interested in correcting it. "Well you only paid for a small." That's not the point. There was no effort to take an order for the large or to make any effort to make it right. Too bad. read more

I've been coming here for over 15 years. The subs are always solid. Service is great but honestly never cared for the pizza. I feel that it sometimes the crust/base feels soggy. My go to's are The cheese fries, Chicken and Cheese sub or Grilled Chicken Sub. read more

Possibly the best pizza I've ever had! The sauce and cheese simply melt in your mouth. Will definitely be coming back for more.

This is definitely the best quality pizza place in the immediate Potomac area. Great for takeout but if you do have the time to eat inside it has a great nostalgic family vibe. Makes me miss my family. I also am a fan of their cheese steaks. read more

Very disappointed. I ordered old bay wings and a cold cut sub. I had the wings about a week ago and they were greaat. This toIme all I git was the wings.... no old Bay. Then there is the sandwich. The bread was stale and the cold cuts were turning. Should have stayed with a pizza. read more

Potomac Pizza was recommended to me by a local while I was visiting a friend in the area. Being as though it is located in a small retail village, I was pleasantly surprised! Management greeted and seated me immediately, and I couldn't have asked for a yummier drop-in, casual meal. My friend got the Mexican pizza which he loved, and I had a meatball sub and cannoli (!!) which exceeded expectations. I will definitely be back! read more

Potomac Pizza deserves some credit for being the only pizza place with a relatively large menu that delivers around Potomac Village. And for the same reason (lack of competition) I don't really blame them for not really caring about their level of customer service. The food is OK, but their waiting staff is plain rude. Example: When Mozzarella sticks were missing marinara side. I asked the waiter if I can get marinara. 20 minutes later, half of the sticks are finished, and no marinara. I asked the waiter again. His response: Oh, I didn't think you still wanted it! you're almost done! read more

Although we've been here before, the service has gotten continuously worst. Last night after sitting at the table for a good 10 minutes I had to wave someone down to ask for menus. When after sitting there with closed menus for another 10 minutes, and after telling the bus girl we were ready to order, no one still bothered to take our order, so we walked out. The strangest thing is the one of the owners was standing at the next table chatting, and saw all this, and didn't bother so much as an apology. Considering all the other family pizza places in Potomac (Tally Ho, Broadway), as well as the chain restaurants, you would think that Potomac Pizza would try a bit harder to retain their loyal customers. read more

Cold, tasteless food, unknowledgeable & unfriendly wait-staff, couldn't-care-less management.......What more can you ask for in a "restaurant"?? A recent phone order (carry out) for a veggie burger and salad resulted in a plain (no lettuce, tomato, pickle, catsup; nothing!) on the burger and no plastic knife and fork for the salad. A restaurant should at least ask what you want in your sandwich if nothing is included and/or condiments are optional. On a recent visit to the Falls Road location with a friend, I was told that my tip (20%) was insufficient! Get this: they have a lunch special for $9.99, which includes your choice of sandwich, salad or fries and a medium drink. Both of us got the special. When I left a $4.00 tip the waitress told me that I need to leave more, as the NON-SPECIAL price of all of the individual items would have been $14 each, so I needed to leave a top based on $28, not $20. This continues to blow my mind every time I think about it!! So, in essence, for $1.50, this "restaurant" has lost my business for good. Not recommended! read more

Came here after morning swim meet with two small schools. The place could not have been more accommodating, they sat aside a section and worked with us to figure out the best way to order for a group of 25-30. José Lopez was just fantastic. He mobilized his crew with cups, plates, drinks, and napkins. Good came out quick, hot, and delicious. The cheese fries were fantastic! We make this trip every year, and they never disappoint. Thanks so much, especially to José. read more

I've been going here since I was a small child and I've always loved the familial atmosphere. The only problem is that it's so incredibly popular with families that no matter when you drop in for a bite, it's guaranteed that small children will be next to you screaming their heads off. The management must have also changed at one point - when they renovated - and the pizza is more Ledo's now; greasy. Still good, though, and a classic joint to have a fun dinner at. I recommend the Hawaiian! read more

Good pie. A little pricey. I live in a DC suburb neighborhood that has no chain pizza delivery available because our Pizza Hut Delivery recently closed (Cabin John). Although we're not far from the local Dominos and even though I wrote to to Dominos about the fact that Pizza Hut closed and nobody delivers here being a great opportunity for them, they have never replied and I only have one local place for pizza delivery... Potomac Pizza. I've never been in the restaurant, so this review is based only on the Pizza and the delivery service. I continue to pay the slightly high price for Potomac Pizza not only because it's the only place that delivers here, but also because the pizza is really good. The toppings are always just right and the crust is great. Delivery is always fast, so I am happy. You will love Potomac Pizza if you can bear the higher than average prices. I'm willing to pay more for a good pizza. If I had the option, I would likely choose these guys over Dominos once in a while, always over Pizza Hut and maybe over Papa John's. Lucky for me, I'm moving to Germantown soon, so I'll have all of these and more--but no more Potomac Pizza--so maybe I'll finally make it to dine in sometime! read more

I grew up on PP and for many years it has been one of the only pizza places that will deliver to my house. That being said-- It is usually something my family orders when we feel like having a night off from cooking. The crust is relatively flimsy, which makes for a soggy pizza and cheese falling off the dough. However, I recently discovered the Spinach & Ricotta pizza, which is DELICIOUS!! In addition to the cheese fries and chicken tenders, it is one of my favorite things to order from here! The greek salad is also bomb! Delivery can take awhile, especially on weekends, but the food is made pretty quickly. So, if you're hungry and able to drive, it is worth it to go pick it up :-) read more
