I was greeted by a super friendly, cheerful guy, and the place was small, clean, and welcoming. I ordered the samosas and the spicy chicken curry pizza, and both had great flavor. The crust was thin, which I really enjoyed. My only critique? I'm a serious sauce-and-cheese enthusiast, so I was hoping for a pizza with a little more "ooey-gooey" action. It leaned a bit on the dry side for my taste, but that's an easy fix--next time I'll just ask for extra sauce. Overall, it was a tasty experience, and I'm definitely coming back to work my way through more of the specialty pizzas. The pizza tour continues :)

I'm usually pretty indifferent toward wood-fired pizza, but I'd definitely come back here again. It feels like this spot doesn't get talked about enough in the downtown Bethesda dining scene. The ambience is great--especially if you can sit outside on a nice day--and the staff is warm and welcoming. Overall, I don't have a single bad thing to say about the food or the experience.

The cheese was stiff instead of melted and fresh, and the crust lacked the texture you'd expect from a quality pizza. None of the slices were particularly appetizing. The only pizza that was somewhat enjoyable was the burrata Margherita which was the only slice that tasted reasonably fresh. Overall, this was a very underwhelming experience especially considering the reputation. I hope this was an off day, but based on this order I wouldn't be inclined to order again.

DO NOT GET THE CARBONARA!…read more (I was craving carbonara tonight) I got the - -Spaghetti carbonara -veal francese -garlic bread -small side of parmigiana cheese Prices were somewhat high Portions were medium The carbonara was very bad. Completely solidified when I tried to eat it I stuck my fork into it, and the whole thing pulled out of the container at once stuck together. It has a bunch of caramelized in it, some of which were burnt. You can visually see solidified, egg yolks, and egg whites. This is the worst carbonara I've ever had in my life (I've eaten carbonara hundreds of times) The veal francese was very good, crispy, flavorful, and had 1/4 a lemon to squeeze on it. The butter pasta it came with was good as well. The garlic bread was ok, large raw chunks of garlic on top of oiled toast. The small side of parmigiana was good, good cheese quality and more than I thought I would get. Keep in mind I did get this delivered. I called the restaurant and told them about the order. And they said to call them next time I order and they would see what they can do. I have to say they have good service. And I have nothing to say as far as ambience.

A host greeted us and guided us to a table. I want to caution this is a very dimly lit restaurant (we were there around 7PM on a Sunday night) and there is a slight incline in the floor leading into one of the other rooms but there is a rug placed down in that area that somewhat helped show it was there. Service was great and attentive. Menu clearly outlined the food and drink options. Pricing seemed fair for area and quality of food. Our server asked if we were interested in additional details such as adding cheese or asking for refills. We had fresh bread and dressing delivered to us upon sitting down. Silverware was neatly wrapped and looked clean. I ordered the sausage and peppers - it was delicious. I had leftovers and the server kindly placed them in a to-go container in a bag that was hooked to the table conveniently out of the way. My fiancé reheated the leftovers upon my return home and he enjoyed the leftovers! I thought it was also a cute touch that the server check presenter had the name of the restaurant as well!

The host was so friendly and helped get us seated in a booth, and very shortly after seating we were greeted by our server Josh. Josh was very polite, and I felt good vibes before the food ever hit the table. He recommended their special, a trout on pasta dish. The entree had a very generous portion of fish, and our server made sure to drop off everything we needed to accompany our food, extra cheese, water refills, he was attentive and took great care of us. Next time I dine at Olazzo, I'm going to be looking for Josh!
