Great food. We loved the white pizza and the beet salad with pomegranate was really good. We also liked cheese panzatoties. They were tasty and for the account of cheese was not really greasy!

I visited for happy hour. The service was friendly, the prices were descent and my pizza was sour. They had quite a few people dining so the flavor definitely worked for many

Amazing neopolitan style pizza in bethesda, the pizza was delicious, fresh, and authentic. The staff was friendly but a bit slow, but it's ok. The pizza is that good! The overall atmosphere of the place was alright nothing stood out. The peperoni pizza is my go-to pizza when I go for neopolitan style, and I recommend the americana Pizza here!

This pizzeria is very popular, but I thought it was okay. I came here with my husband and some friends on a Saturday evening. The place was busy, but we must've gotten there just in time for dinner because we got a table right away with no reservation. Although it was busy, our server tried her best to get our orders in right away. My husband and I ordered Marco's balls (meatballs with tomato sauce) for our appetizer and shared the Solo Carne pizza (tomato-based pizza with pepperoni, sausage and salame). The meatballs were pretty good. Flavorful, but it was a pretty small portion for $9.50. The pizza itself was okay. The mozzarella and the meat toppings were good, but the crust did not hold up well. It ended up getting quite soggy, which was not a texture I enjoyed. I googled to see if Neopolitan pizza is supposed to be this way (a little wet) and it looks like it is. Just a heads up for people who may not like that sort of texture.

Last I checked, all money is just currency. We're to far advance to walk in restaurants that feel unwelcoming! The waitress didn't want to sit us near any others. We opt for the bar, asked if food is being served. Ordered our food the waitress was very short in conversation. Made sure we knew, they didn't want to serv6 the African American Citizens. 45 min for appetizer. 3 meat balls. Which were delicious! Another 45 minuted for a Calzone that was burnt, and had no cheese. We left before even seeing it. The waitress just took my receipt and place it on the counter, walked away....10 thumbs down, and will post this on all social media platforms!!! If it's not about the money, then get out of here, we wanted food, your owner needs to pay the bills...

My wife and I came here a couple months ago on a Saturday night after my haircut appointment nearby and we were very impressed. We ordered the Funghi and Capricciosa Pizzas without ham and had half of them leftover to bring home. We also got some drinks including a honey bear one and a dessert Prosecco. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. The ambiance is nice too and looks upscale but also family friendly. We look forward to returning.

Passed by the place so often and finally made the time to try it, however my party and I were really let down despite some of the reviews we've read. The focaccia had an almost burnt aftertaste and was not pleasant, and looked extremely flat compared to the other focaccia's I've had in the past. The calzone was fine, although I wished it was cooked a little bit more, and the dough fell apart way too easily. The biggest letdown was probably the Spinaci pizza (mozzarella, spinach, pancetta, garlic & ricotta). Despite all the lovely ingredients, I felt like I was just biting into cheese, and I envisioned the pancetta to be darker and crispier (almost thought it was raw for a second). Now, the garlic on the pizza was in fact raw and not cooked at all. As someone who loves garlic, this was a disappointment. The service was really awesome though, everyone was super sweet! Sad to say that the food did not live up to our expectations.

Best pizza in the dmv it's always worth the drive and the price. I love the pesto pizza, but I've had some of the other ones and they're also really nice .

What a delightful surprise! Recently, it appears a vast number of establishments have a hard time providing good service while maintaining a level of quality food/experience. I found this to be untrue at pizzeria da Marco. The service was superb and the food was pretty amazing. Wish I had taken photos of the aftermath because there was not one morsel of food left on our plates. Another thing of note is how many of the patrons here seemed to be regulars and knew the folks running the place like family. We had the stuffed peppers, arugula salad, bolognese sauce pasta, and the solo pizza. So yum!

We came here for dinner after reading some reviews, but it wasn't 4 star experience. The server didn't help us so we had to ask some walking servers to order main and desserts. Our server didn't refill water too. The foods were decent. The caprese and insalata mista (salad) arrived pretty quickly and were both fresh and tasty. We got simple margarita pizza, which was thin crust, simple and good, but nothing special. We also got cocktail (I think Mamma Mia), affogato, and cannoli, and everything was pretty good, but I feel a bit overpriced in general.

The pizza pie was savory and fulfilling. It came with tasty tomato sauce, tender sausage, sautéed red onions, mozzarella, Basil and roasted peppers (yum!). It was the perfect size for two people. APPETIZERS * Mini Sweet Peppers * Delicious red peppers, stuffed with flavorful sausage, parmesan and breadcrumbs; roasted to perfection and accompanied by a slightly sweet tomato sauce. It was absolutely delicious. * Suppli Al Telefono * Rice balls with Fontina, parmesan and mozzarella. These deep fried rice balls had the perfect balance of crisp texture that wasn't as hard (crispy) as a mozzarella stick however gave me a similar vibe as one. The flavor of the Fontina was chef kiss. SERVICE: The service was excellent. We arrived fifteen minutes prior to opening on a Friday afternoon, however Eric was kind enough to let us in early. We're grateful he did because we dubbed this Pizzeria our favorite. Eric shared his favorite items on the menu and his recommendations did not disappoint. He checked on us frequently, our waters were always topped off and we enjoyed a few short conversations with him. Thanks Eric for the laughs, great service and recommendations. I believe the food tasted that much better with his company. LOCATION/FACILITY: Located off Woodmont Avenue between St. Elmo and Cordell Avenue. PARKING: Street parking and a small parking lot across the street. Double check availability and parking restrictions as there are different businesses surrounding the parking lot. SEATING: Indoor and Outdoor seating PAYMENT METHOD: Cash, card SUMMARY: Pizzeria Da Marco is my new favorite. Eric was amazing. All the appetizers sounded yummy, making it tough to decide what to get. Eric was nice enough to share his favorites which we went with and they were absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back and enjoy more items on the menu. We didn't leave room for dessert however we'll definitely be back and will be ordering Tiramisu.

Stopped in a couple times to have some food and drink. Ate at the bar mostly to enjoy the happy hour menu. Onto the food. Ordered some panzerotti to try, pizza and a house made pasta. Pizza came out to order, closer to the middle of the pie is softer. The pasta was good. Aperol, spritz, generally four parts Prosecco, three parts Aperol and some seltzer, a nice red/orange color when mixed, my drink was o.k. The photo is the drink I had. Came out slightly watery. Price point for downtown Bethesda is o.k. Staff is polite and parking is hit or miss on the street and plenty of public nearby.

This is our first time coming here as a family. The food was amazing. We had such a wonderful waiter who was kind enough to help me pair a good beer with a pizza tonight. The service was great and quick and the quality was amazing.

Our waiter was very nice and we were not real interested in appetizers. The bread they offer is so fresh with a wonderful crust. My colleague ordered garlic bread, but I'm not a fan of that. I ordered the shrimp Parmesan. we had the veal piccata ordered by another person, two lasagnas and more real dishes. Every dish was exceptional flavorful and well made. I'm sorry to see that their express store closed but it's still great to see They are open on Cordell Avenue. Definitely a must visit.

DO NOT GET THE CARBONARA!…read more (I was craving carbonara tonight) I got the - -Spaghetti carbonara -veal francese -garlic bread -small side of parmigiana cheese Prices were somewhat high Portions were medium The carbonara was very bad. Completely solidified when I tried to eat it I stuck my fork into it, and the whole thing pulled out of the container at once stuck together. It has a bunch of caramelized in it, some of which were burnt. You can visually see solidified, egg yolks, and egg whites. This is the worst carbonara I've ever had in my life (I've eaten carbonara hundreds of times) The veal francese was very good, crispy, flavorful, and had 1/4 a lemon to squeeze on it. The butter pasta it came with was good as well. The garlic bread was ok, large raw chunks of garlic on top of oiled toast. The small side of parmigiana was good, good cheese quality and more than I thought I would get. Keep in mind I did get this delivered. I called the restaurant and told them about the order. And they said to call them next time I order and they would see what they can do. I have to say they have good service. And I have nothing to say as far as ambience.

What an amazing lunch!…read more I'll start by saying I have been to Olazzo before, but today's lunch was special. I was introducing my girlfriend and my mom to each other. The host was so friendly and helped get us seated in a booth, and very shortly after seating we were greeted by our server Josh. Josh was very polite, and I felt good vibes before the food ever hit the table. He recommended their special, a trout on pasta dish. The entree had a very generous portion of fish, and our server made sure to drop off everything we needed to accompany our food, extra cheese, water refills, he was attentive and took great care of us. Next time I dine at Olazzo, I'm going to be looking for Josh!

Sunday February 15th 4:00pm…read more I normally don't include personal feelings when reviewing. This is an exception. We were in the area and decided to try this spot. Hostess, gentleman who seated us, and our server were wonderful. The food wasn't the best ever but it was good. We decided to give it a shot despite low customer ratings. We are Black Americans. When we walked in I picked up on a negative vibe but dismissed it. When you walk into a small establishment and it get's quiet or you get the looks turn and no one speaks turn around and leave. There were a few people at the bar chatting up staff (regulars). As we walked by the bar headed to the table I glanced over to the what clearly was the person in charge. I smiled no response. We eat, I head to the ladies restroom. I passed the same gentleman who, again looked directly at me, I smiled and he turned his head. I passed by him on the way back to the table. I specifically looked him the face and smiled. He looked at me and again turned his head blatantly. We are aware of prejudice so I didn't let him get under my skin. I smile and speak to anyone and am happy to do so whether it is reciprocated. It takes negative energy to be mean spirited. Willing to take our money but refuse to acknowledge us as paying customers. We spent quite a bit for two people. I will not recommend this place if it was the last Italian restaurant. To the owners- I could not tell if you were the person I encountered today or a manager. Either way- Just Wow.

The crust is burned in some places and undercooked in others, like it couldn't decide which level of failure to commit to. The toppings are a random mess--onions tossed like someone sneezed them on, olives rolling around like loose change, and sad green peppers that look more boiled than baked. Half of the pizza looks like it gave up halfway through cooking, and the other half looks like it survived a house fire. Pepperoni? Barely there. Cheese? Patchy. Sauce? Overpowered by bitterness from the charred crust. Honestly, this isn't a pizza--it's a crime scene in a cardboard box. If you want to know what disappointment tastes like, order this. My family and I are always looking for a new pizza spot to try and AP was the right place and the right time. I'll talk about the space for a minute. It's a small pizza place. It's not meant for groups. They have maybe four or five tables. This is more of a quick bite or grab a slice at the counter before the movies kind of place. If I can wrap up the vibe and the decor in three words, I would use modern, hipster and clean. I kind of dug the feel. It has a tiny bit of grit to it and that's more than I can say for most of Bethesda. So because we started with a group of four eventually joined by my brother-in-law's family of four, we ended up squeezing about eight people into a small booth. This was by choice. But they were accommodating. I wouldn't recommend this place for groups, but the service was outstanding and it felt like an A+. Here what stood out from our order. They have mixed drinks on their menu and if you have an old-fashioned on your menu, I'm going to try it. I really enjoyed mine. The focaccia bread with garlic butter was incredible. I highly suggest you try that if you're gonna come in. Of the two pizzas we got, I thought the plain pie was better than Tony's pie. Ordering food, whether you're sitting down or taking your food to go is also really easy. They have self-serve kiosks and I'm all for that. Back to the service, as I was ordering our food through the self-serve kiosk and the staff was more than happy to give their two cents or answer any questions about the menu. I don't have any real negative notes. I know I gave 4 stars, but there are no fractional ratings on Yelp, unfortunately. I would say somewhere around 4.25 was my gut score. I'll add that going to a restaurant one time does not paint a complete picture. I'll probably come back to try more items. I recommend you give it a try.
