My favorite pizza here!
Muibat S.

I love getting the pizza here! It just tastes so good! I'm a meat lover and, even though it's not the cheapest, I prefer coming here rather than all of the other pizza places in Bethesda.

NY style pepperoni with hot honey

How this place gets less than 5 stars is beyond me. Everyone there was super nice and the place was very clean. I got a NY style pepperoni slice and they added hot honey, very good. My wife got the cheese slice and loved it. We also got garlic knots and all my wife could say is how much better pizza and garlic knots are better on the East Coast (we are from LA). We were super shocked when we saw the bill and it was $12.11. Wtf?! So cheap and so good. How is this possible. I freaking loved it! Must try.

I'm always getting pizza from here. I usually get the supreme which is my absolute favorite. It's super fresh and I love the fact that they don't overload the sauce. Fresh veggies, meats, and crunchy crust! The service is quick and on point. I've never actually sat down here but it's cute. Cozy little spot in Bethesda. There is street parking. And this street is very congested so watch out lol.

Calamari, garden salad, and the AMAZING mushroom ravioli! Delicious

In town on a Business trip. Was craving Italian. Less than a 10 min walk from my hotel. Decided to check out and so glad I did! Food was fresh, delicious, came out fast, and had big portions! One of the BEST mushroom ravioli I've ever had! Customer service was great! And the outdoor seating was relaxing. Will definitely come here again when I'm back in Bethesda!

Gnocchi trio

Great little Italian American restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is pleasant, although it can be busy and noisy depending on time of day. My waitress provided excellent service. On her recommendation I got the chef special gnocchi trio, which was incredibly delicious and one of the best things I've had in a while. Came with a Caesar side salad, and I got a wine to go with. Very filling, and a good value! I look forward to going back. If I could Change one thing, I wish they served some nice Italian espresso or coffee for after the meal.

Generous Pizza Slices! Today I tried Manma Lucia's pizza slices. The restaurant offers several choices: Cheese, Cheese/Pepperoni, "Meat" (sausage, pepperoni, bacon & ham). I ordered a slice of Cheese/Pepperoni & "Meat". Delicious! Fresh ingredients. Wow generous pizza slices! Prompt Courteous Customer Service. See Photo!

Mussels and linguine with white wine sauce

Stopped by here after shopping in the area and was pleasantly surprised! We tried the Calamari, Shrimp Bada Bing (a wonderful specialty sauce), Greek Pizza, Mussels and Linguine, Shrimp and Linguine, and Seafood Asparagus pasta with pink sauce. Everything was flavorful and incredible - the pink sauce was so addicting. The dish sizes are generous and everyone was satisfied after the meal. The servers were nice and attentive and we were checked on by what seems to be the store manager - he was walking around and making friendly conversation with all of the customers. Definitely would return!

The Mama's Special!

Nice, friendly greeting with a big smile. Our server was kind enough to split our garden salad even though we didn't ask her to do it. The salad was zesty and crunchy! Delicious greens, yellow peppers, green bell peppers, pepperoncini, olives, onions and Cherry tomatoes. Love the vinaigrette dressing! The medium Mama's Special looked more like a large pizza. The this crust was loaded with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, ham, mushroom, olives, onions and chopped green peppers. It had just the right balance of cheese and red sauce. Also, the thin crust was evenly baked. It wasn't too doughy. It had just the right blend of crisp and flakiness.

Cheese Pizza Slice

Absolutely delicious. True family pizzeria. Dads making the pizza, son & daughter up front. Outdoor seating & dog friendly. Son even got some water for my doggie dude & the daughter (manager) was awesome & checked on everything. I got 2 cheese slices & a cannoli. The 2 slices were delicious reminding of back home in Boston. Thin, good crisp, quality cheese, sauce had great flavor & crust was flavorful, crunchy outside & soft inside. The cannoli was absolutely delicious cream shell, good mix of sweet & range from filling. Can't wait to be back to try a fresh pie. 1 bite, everybody knows the rules

Portobello Mushroom Ravioli D

This was such an exceptional find. The portobello mushroom ravioli was so good that I kept eating even after I was full. And the service was outstanding.

Our waiter was very nice and we were not real interested in appetizers. The bread they offer is so fresh with a wonderful crust. My colleague ordered garlic bread, but I'm not a fan of that. I ordered the shrimp Parmesan. we had the veal piccata ordered by another person, two lasagnas and more real dishes. Every dish was exceptional flavorful and well made. I'm sorry to see that their express store closed but it's still great to see They are open on Cordell Avenue. Definitely a must visit.

DO NOT GET THE CARBONARA!…read more (I was craving carbonara tonight) I got the - -Spaghetti carbonara -veal francese -garlic bread -small side of parmigiana cheese Prices were somewhat high Portions were medium The carbonara was very bad. Completely solidified when I tried to eat it I stuck my fork into it, and the whole thing pulled out of the container at once stuck together. It has a bunch of caramelized in it, some of which were burnt. You can visually see solidified, egg yolks, and egg whites. This is the worst carbonara I've ever had in my life (I've eaten carbonara hundreds of times) The veal francese was very good, crispy, flavorful, and had 1/4 a lemon to squeeze on it. The butter pasta it came with was good as well. The garlic bread was ok, large raw chunks of garlic on top of oiled toast. The small side of parmigiana was good, good cheese quality and more than I thought I would get. Keep in mind I did get this delivered. I called the restaurant and told them about the order. And they said to call them next time I order and they would see what they can do. I have to say they have good service. And I have nothing to say as far as ambience.

What an amazing lunch!…read more I'll start by saying I have been to Olazzo before, but today's lunch was special. I was introducing my girlfriend and my mom to each other. The host was so friendly and helped get us seated in a booth, and very shortly after seating we were greeted by our server Josh. Josh was very polite, and I felt good vibes before the food ever hit the table. He recommended their special, a trout on pasta dish. The entree had a very generous portion of fish, and our server made sure to drop off everything we needed to accompany our food, extra cheese, water refills, he was attentive and took great care of us. Next time I dine at Olazzo, I'm going to be looking for Josh!

Sunday February 15th 4:00pm…read more I normally don't include personal feelings when reviewing. This is an exception. We were in the area and decided to try this spot. Hostess, gentleman who seated us, and our server were wonderful. The food wasn't the best ever but it was good. We decided to give it a shot despite low customer ratings. We are Black Americans. When we walked in I picked up on a negative vibe but dismissed it. When you walk into a small establishment and it get's quiet or you get the looks turn and no one speaks turn around and leave. There were a few people at the bar chatting up staff (regulars). As we walked by the bar headed to the table I glanced over to the what clearly was the person in charge. I smiled no response. We eat, I head to the ladies restroom. I passed the same gentleman who, again looked directly at me, I smiled and he turned his head. I passed by him on the way back to the table. I specifically looked him the face and smiled. He looked at me and again turned his head blatantly. We are aware of prejudice so I didn't let him get under my skin. I smile and speak to anyone and am happy to do so whether it is reciprocated. It takes negative energy to be mean spirited. Willing to take our money but refuse to acknowledge us as paying customers. We spent quite a bit for two people. I will not recommend this place if it was the last Italian restaurant. To the owners- I could not tell if you were the person I encountered today or a manager. Either way- Just Wow.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry looking at what was delivered to me. This pizza is an absolute…read moredisgrace. The crust is burned in some places and undercooked in others, like it couldn't decide which level of failure to commit to. The toppings are a random mess--onions tossed like someone sneezed them on, olives rolling around like loose change, and sad green peppers that look more boiled than baked. Half of the pizza looks like it gave up halfway through cooking, and the other half looks like it survived a house fire. Pepperoni? Barely there. Cheese? Patchy. Sauce? Overpowered by bitterness from the charred crust. Honestly, this isn't a pizza--it's a crime scene in a cardboard box. If you want to know what disappointment tastes like, order this. Otherwise, save your money and your dignity. I don't even know if I'd try this again if it was free. -A Pizza Connoisseur

It was my first time here. Let me start with that. We've walked by this place a dozen times but…read morenever made our way in. My family and I are always looking for a new pizza spot to try and AP was the right place and the right time. I'll talk about the space for a minute. It's a small pizza place. It's not meant for groups. They have maybe four or five tables. This is more of a quick bite or grab a slice at the counter before the movies kind of place. If I can wrap up the vibe and the decor in three words, I would use modern, hipster and clean. I kind of dug the feel. It has a tiny bit of grit to it and that's more than I can say for most of Bethesda. So because we started with a group of four eventually joined by my brother-in-law's family of four, we ended up squeezing about eight people into a small booth. This was by choice. But they were accommodating. I wouldn't recommend this place for groups, but the service was outstanding and it felt like an A+. Here what stood out from our order. They have mixed drinks on their menu and if you have an old-fashioned on your menu, I'm going to try it. I really enjoyed mine. The focaccia bread with garlic butter was incredible. I highly suggest you try that if you're gonna come in. Of the two pizzas we got, I thought the plain pie was better than Tony's pie. Ordering food, whether you're sitting down or taking your food to go is also really easy. They have self-serve kiosks and I'm all for that. Back to the service, as I was ordering our food through the self-serve kiosk and the staff was more than happy to give their two cents or answer any questions about the menu. I don't have any real negative notes. I know I gave 4 stars, but there are no fractional ratings on Yelp, unfortunately. I would say somewhere around 4.25 was my gut score. I'll add that going to a restaurant one time does not paint a complete picture. I'll probably come back to try more items. I recommend you give it a try.
