OMG! Why has no one ever told me about this place. I was looking for something to eat while working in Houston. I wandered into Potbelly to check out. I was looking for a club sandwich but the menu only displayed a chicken club. When asked they told me they have a sandwich called the Clubby (secret menu). I had to order one since it fit my craving. I ordered the regular size. The sandwich was loaded with ham, turkey, bacon and provolone cheese. Then they toast it. I chose mayonnaise (on the bread not in between the meats), lettuce, tomatoes and their diced pepper medley. Unbelievable! This is almost the best sandwich I have ever tasted. I am from Philadelphia so a good Philly Cheese Steak will always be number one (one with real cheese not that cheese whiz crap). Again...why has no one told me about this place? It was a Cubano kinda day! French bread roll with pulled pork, smoked ham and melted Swiss, lightly toasted and warm, with brown mustard and a crunchy pickle. Yum! I had ordered the skinny sandwich combo with broccoli cheese soup but it didn't make it into the bag. Bummer! (They did say they would credit my card so I didn't have to back) MrM had the Wreck. Turkey breast, hickory smoked ham, angus roast beef, salami and melted Swiss. Said it was an interesting combination. I've had 3 or 4 different types of sandwiches from this location and sadly they all disappoint! The only halfway good one was the BLTA. I added mayo & extra tomatoes. But there was hardly any bacon! That's literally the star of the sandwich and they put it on there like it was an add-on topping. I've tried the Pizza Melt - decent but just not that great and I ate part of it in the car just to taste it right out the store. I did order online and proceeded immediately to pick it up but idk when it was made. Also had the new pastrami sandwich last month! I did call and speak with the manager who did offer to remake my sandwiches. Since I did not want to return that day, she offered an in store credit for a later time. I was told the corporate guideline for that sandwich is two slices of bacon, ON A BACON sandwich. I have added one star to my review, since they did address my concern and ended up crediting my card for the full amount. We decided to go by the drive thru and get some sandwiches and salads for dinner. The drive thru service was quick and efficient. We ordered the two of the pick your pair (Sandwich + Salad). One order was the A Wreck and an Apple Walnut Salad. The other order was an Avo Turkey and a Farmhouse Salad. For dessert we had some of their delicious Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies. I absolutely love potbelly. I really do. I think I been eating at this establishment (different location) since 2016 or 2017. Anyhow, imagine my excitement when this place opened on my side of town. Its not the closest to where I live but on my side of town. 2018 I used this location for my baby shower bc I love their food so much. However, I need consistency in the quality of my food and the service. I just don't understand why this location seems to struggle. Make sure to check your order before u drive away, every single time. Anyways, I won't stop coming here (yet), bc I love it here so much but I also don't make enough money to give my money away. I don't know who the bearded gentleman is with the red hair but he could use a lesson in customer service if he's going to remain in the service industry. He took over halfway through my order because the sandwich maker wasn't fast enough and the line was adding up, but there's no reason to have an attitude towards me when I'm simply notifying you that I didn't want cranberries in the salad. I love potbelly but my experience tonight was awful. The young man who attended us had a pony tail and beard and was in such a bad mood, it almost seemed as if we were bothering him. When we asked for our toppings he seemed completely annoyed. As we walked out, as a kind gesture we told him "Thank you" (even my toddler said thank you as well) and he completely looked at us dead in the eye and didn't say a word back. Go through the drive thru! Have waited 10 minutes before ordering in the restaurant and the guy making the sandwiches just took half our order. The manager walks up to him and asked if he finished the drive thru orders yet. The manager then says "drive thru first. Always drive thru first." So the guy stops our order midway and starts working on drive thru orders. Another 8 minutes go by and the only reason I got my order in was because I asked the manager if we had to go to drive thru to get our order. (With 3 more people lined up in restaurant behind us). Just have to say it's a terrible system if all drive thru orders get priority over walk ins. read more

If you want your order screwed up, this is the place to go. Every single time I go to this location, there's something wrong with my order. I asked for chicken sandwich, all veggies, no mayo/mustard. They even repeated the order back to me. I get it home and it looks like worse than a Subway sandwich. It's dripping with mayo and not even close to what I ordered. This is a new potbelly location- right off the corner of 290 and Fry Road. Pleasantly surprised at the fast service. I was in and out during the lunch hour rush in less than 15 minutes. I'm so used to waiting in a long line at other locations, but the service here is quick and awesome! My go to lunch spot now. Their sandwiches are always delicious, and the soup is AMAZING. Food is always delicious but today the staff just ignored that I was waiting to pick up a mobile order. I arrived at the time the app specified and I waited for 18 minutes to pick up food. The young lady walking out to take orders to vehicles just walked by me several times and never asked if I needed help or what was the order I was waiting for. I ordered one of their family meals through the app. When I got to the store it was ready and waiting, it seemed promising. I opened while I was in the store to find that one of my sides was missing. I talked with the girl at the counter and she reluctantly made it for me. Got home to realize that I didn't get my cookies, shame on me for not paying attention. My boyfriend and I went to this location tonight at around 7:30 and we were both pretty disappointed in the service we received. We walked in, were not greeted, I stood by the counter for about 3 mins before anyone even acknowledged me. In fact, my boyfriend went to the bathroom, and came out and still we were not being served. Normally I am understanding of slow Service because of lines, or even understaffed counters, but tonight was just unacceptable. We looked at our receipt to see how long we were there just to pick up one sandwich, and we were there for 14minutes. Again, there was no line. Not one customer inside. And there were three workers lolligagging around the place. To make matters worse, the drive through was being serviced by all three workers. I used to live within walking distance of the original Potbelly's in Chicago for many years, and I am appalled at what franchising has done to their wonderful concept and delicious sandwiches. I ordered two sandwiches. I asked for one Italian with everything and one with everything but hot peppers. I got home and opened the sandwiches. The one I had ordered with everything was fine. The other sandwich was literally bread with meat and cheese on it. The order label printed on the bag just said "No hot peppers" - apparently that meant no hot peppers or anything else. I was so hungry and disappointed, I almost wanted to cry. The shop is about 5-6 miles from my house, so I wasn't going to take it back, but I definitely will think twice about going there again. read more
