Very typical southern BBQ place. Rustic with no trace of fancy. There were tables in front under the covered porch as well as indoors. It was a little dark inside. There were a couple of tvs on showing sports. We had stopped in to buy one of their funny shirts but they were sold out. We decided to stay for dinner. We both ordered pulled pork plates one with loaded baked potato salad and yellow squash and one with hash and rice and collards. The meat was "pulled" really fine but had a nice taste. I really liked the rice and hash but it was a bit spicy. DD liked her sides. We had a lot of food left over for lunches the next day. The "free" smells are outstanding. Our family got the brisket plate with cucumber salad and baked beans. The full rack of ribs with the cucumber salad and coleslaw. My husband said he would go back just for the coleslaw. It was some of the best he has ever had. The brisket sandwich with fries and mac n cheese. It's easy to find just look for the billowing smoke. They have indoor seating as well as shaded picnic table outdoor seating. Traditional BBQ menu and fairly priced. Portions are good sized and all platter come with 2 sides. I had the brisket upon recommendation and it was good but lacked a smoke flavor. The collard greens were also good a bit on the sweet side and the cucumber medley was a better healthy option. Service is friendly and once you order at the counter they bring you your food. Food tastes just like it smells! The aroma when you open the door is amazing; and when you start eating, the pulled pork melts in your mouth. Honestly I've had better. Don't get me wrong this service was great and the food was good but I was disappointed in the beef brisket. Besides I got macaroni and cheese and greens were really great but the brisket was less to be desired. It just had too much fat on it and I couldn't eat it plus it just tasted a bit rubbery to me. Honestly I experience better at other barbecue restaurants and this one is not one of them. I don't think I'll come here again but if I do I'll try something different on the menu. read more

1/4 bbq and pork were AWEFUL. The chicken tasted like it was boiled and the pork appeared to be sitting for a while, not edible to me. The kids meal was probably the best part of the meal. At least the kids tenders were fresh and had flavor. read more

The ribs looked like they came out of the oven! They tasted like the came out of the oven! Worst ribs I ever had in my life. When I asked the cashier she told me that the ribs was smoked for 12 hours at 250! Any one that smoke ribs know that you can't smoke ribs for 12 hours they will dry out! No bark was on the ribs! Just picked up lunch to go. I am so happy with my experience. The person who took my order was so nice-- I asked her for some recommendations and she didn't disappoint! I got the pork plate with Mac and cheese and fries. The portions were amazingly generous for lunch. The fries were good and the Mac and cheese was awesome! This place has great bbq. The brisket the first time was fatty but I had it a second time and it was good. They have a variety of bbq sauce vinegar based, mustard based, spicy and sweet. Hash and rice is my favorite side! The pickled cucumbers and peppers and coleslaw was good too. I would pass on the Mac and cheese as it's just plain. They put a regular slice of break on top which I would rather have corn bread or a roll. They have a drive thru that is quick and convenient. Nice outdoor picnic style seating as well. read more

Customer service was nothing special as they only had about 2-3 employees working. Got the pulled pork plate with Mac n cheese and baked beans, + a slice of white bread. The only thing that had flavor were the baked beans, blandest mac n cheese, and the pulled pork couldn't have been drier. Update: I'm giving this place 5 stars because it was that good and I didn't feel that 4 stars was enough justice for the friendly staff and amazing tasting food. The reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is only because they ran out of the ribs before I could try them. If it wasn't for that, 5 stars easily would be given. So, with that being said, if you want ribs get here before 6:30pm. (I'll be back to try them) I had the pulled pork, beef brisket, mac and cheese, and loaded potato salad, and pecan pie. The meat was perfectly smoked and seasoned and not dry at all. The BBQ sauce wasn't needed, although if you add it, it will add that sweet flavor you might be looking for. But, I suggest you try the meet "dry" first. The serving size was surprisingly large, bigger than most places around here. The Mac cheese was cheesy with an extra layer of cheese baked on top. It complemented the meat very well. The potato salad was impressive. The shredded bacon (not bacon bits) was an awesome addition. I could definitely eat that again, and I don't normally get potato salad! If my Grandma's pecan pie wasn't the best, Pot Smokers would win that position. Had my fix of BBQ and ribs on Memorial Day thanks to the awesome staff at Pot Smoker BBQ on Pine Log Road. I got there just after 12:00 PM and they sold out of ribs 5 minutes after I ordered. Aiken Location gets my highest rating I can post .  I did not know but I asked and found out that  the Aiken Pot Smoker BBQ is not associated with the North Augusta location located on Old Edgefield Road. and I hope that the Aiken Location make people aware of this I do have  to say that the Aiken location has the best Q chicken and is my go to place for it and you can make a meal out of the hash and rice!!  I have been there at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed.  The food is super as well as the employees and service . Stopped in for lunch and gotta say, the best BBQ I have had in the South! I had brisket platter with baked bean and greens, and, my wife had brisket sandwich with mac and cheese. We shared it all. Everything was soo good! Some joints don't put the same effort in for the sides as they do the main dishes, not these guys. All homemade and all delicious! Ribs were fall off the bone juicy and delicious, most other places over cooks the meats but not here. Food was fresh and hot. Sides were very good, the only problem I found was the squash was peppered a little more than I like but over all it was a fantastic meal. For dessert we got the cheesecake was big enough for 3 people. Prices were affordable, restaurant was clean and the servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Really good bbq ....and man the sauces....while I grew up on Carolina mustard style all of their offerings were amazing!
