The location isn't in a great place at all. The wings were good (not great) and those frozen mozzarellas sticks were OK. I ordered lemon pepper fry wings and they must've sprinkled lemon pepper mix on maybe TWO wings and I couldn't order all flats which is ridiculous! I asked why I couldn't order what I wanted and the cashier said because of how the chicken comes in. I said to myself this is stupid, if I'm paying for it I should be allowed to order whatever I want. Those sticks left much to be desired, even though I was in town visiting I don't have to return here but because the wings were good I might.

This was a great spud. Area seems kind of shady, but you're in and out quick and the food was worth it. I got the grilled chicken potato with ranch on the side. If you love ranch, they will happily drown that potato for you. It's too good, y'all! (I wouldn't recommend the side salad though. It seems overpriced for what you get. I don't have a picture because it was a coworker that ordered one. $4.99 a pop and it just wasn't worth it in my opinion. Still go for the tater though!)

Soooo good! The potatoes are huge with a good amount of toppings. Definitely a must go for anywhere looking for something different and reasonably priced, totally worth it!!!

Just an FYI, this place is in the hood. Doesn't bother me but if you're not familiar don't be shocked. It's located in an old strip mall. It's not a place you can dine in to eat. It's strictly order and take out. I ordered the meat tater, lemon pepper wings and jalapeño poppers. The meat tater is a baked potato with butter, chives, bacon, cheese and a choice of fried or grilled chicken and drenched in ranch dressing. A-mazing artery-clogging goodness. The lemon pepper wings were delicious. Wings not too big and not too small. Poppers were good too. Mister and I were able to share this and not feel stuffed. If we had ordered our own potatoes and shared the rest we would have been out of commission the rest of the day. Everything is cooked to order but the wait is not extensive. They also serve pork chop plates, sandwiches and fries, and other combo dinners. It's not far from my work so I know it will be my dinner stop on those days I just don't feel like rattling the pans!

Like the first reviewer stated in her review, this place is in a sketchy part of town, where people aimlessly hang around outside of the existing businesses in this strip mall. I can say, this place is worth trying. I went during the evening and it was quite busy, many people were waiting for their food and many people came in behind me ordering food. I occupied my time waiting for my food by playing Words with Friends. I can zone out and play all day. I did this so no one would talk to me or try to illicitly advertise different business ventures of theirs. One guy handed out cards to almost everyone that came in the building, it was quite annoying. The staff was very pleasurable and was able to keep order in the place when it got quite busy. I ordered the fried meat tater. It's a baked potato loaded with bacon, cheese, chives, butter, fried chicken, and topped with ranch dressing. Can you say DELICIOUS!!! I devour most of it in the first sitting of me eating it and it's enough for two people. The pricing was fair too, being a little over $8. So I say it definitely worth braving the environment for a delectable meal!!!

Food was well seasoned and portions were good for the cost. Started off with the Visalia Onion Dip and Bravas and Brussels. Then for main meals I got the daily special which was a Blackened Pork Chop over Mashed Potatoes with a side of Crispy Brussels Sprouts. My wife had the Prime Rib which was seasoned to perfection. Our kids had the Blackened Salmon and the other had the Chicken Caprese. Everything tasted great and we had wanted to go here and finally did and will most likely be back again for a different dish or two... and sorry I only got one pic of the drink we got, oops.

I'll tell you what made me unhappy. We were there on a 95 degree day. When we were seated our waitress brought us a carafe of water and 2 glasses. Room temperature water and no ice. I asked for ice and she brought us a cup of ice. Not really enough for 2 people and it melted down as soon as I poured water over it. I figured that the only way I would get ice was to order a drink, so I ordered ice tea. That usually comes with ice. Right?? Well our waitress said that she had to brew me a fresh cup of tea which when you pour that over ice the ice melts away and again I had a glass of room temperature tea. I couldn't get a cold drink here to save my life. And did I mention that it was 95 degrees out? My wife ordered a Rubin sandwich, not realizing that it was a spicy sandwich. One bite and she was done. She doesn't like spicy food so I traded her for my simple bacon egg sandwich on a bagel and I had her spicy Rubin. And it was spicy! They had a mustard that must've been made with jalapeño and if you like heat, you will like this. Plenty of parking. Full bar. Clean restroom. Very average.

Starting with our drinks, we both had coffee-which I would return for the coffee alone! It was bold, curious, mysterious and honestly had me asking for the name of the coffee before I left! We had a server in training, so two servers! Both were outstanding! Quick to refill our drinks and remove plates that were empty. The food.....let me just say I not only spoke with management, I also was able to speak with the head chef to give my praise. I am not one to sing false praise, trust me. When I tell you I have never, ever, had a brunch as delicious as his!!! I am a French toast connoisseur, and his was a 12/10! There was not one bite of food that wasn't outstanding. I was truly impressed, with his creativity and his attention to detail because it shined like a diamond from the front of house all the way down to the sweet lady filling the cakes when I was taking my pictures for this review! "Let me get it all full and pretty now before you get those pictures!" I mean, if she wasn't just the sweetest thing, and took 100% pride in her work. Same with the gentleman working the omelet station. He came in the day before to prep the fish (which is a long day of work!) The love they put into each dish truly shines through effortlessly! With permission, personally, I would suggest they rename their Sunday Brunch to "Soul-filled Sunday Brunch" because #1 I left ready to go to sleep! #2 I had a religious experienced during that meal, in blessings and dining I have only ever had at Church Potlucks! #3 It elevated some fancy and some common foods to such heights, I was expect to be hearing gospel music while I ate! #4 Personally, I hope heaven's banquet table is much like today's-full of love, flavor and most importantly-community! Everyone from other diners enjoying their brunch to servers, sous chefs to the top man himself-not one person wasn't smiling from ear to ear. It's been near a decade since I've seen that many smiling people all in one place! While I will have to limit how often I come for Brunch lest my clothes start shrinking! Edgar's by far, takes the trophy for elevated dining experiences in Augusta, Ga! Best of all, a percentage of all their sales goes back directly into Helms College (located in the same shopping center.) Helms college offers hands-on education in culinary arts, health services, and industrial trades like HVAC/R. Keep up the amazing work, I eagerly look forward to dining with you again!

There is plenty of parking. I'm not sure why it's called "at the river" bc I didn't see a river. There is inside and an outside enclosed area for seating when you enter from the parking lot. It is decorated like a casual bar and grill. My server was in training but friendly and worked alongside his trainer head server. For beverages, I ordered the oyster shooter and that Bloody Mary did not disappoint. I also had a Black Raspberry Margarita. This seems to be a thing in Augusta for Margaritas as well as this was the 2nd restaurant I went to and had this. The other place was better though. But let's talk about the food! The catfish was super tasty. They gave me fries although I didn't order them, and of course I still ate them. I had a side of baked potato salad. I should've asked why they're baked, but that was just okay. I had the TASTE OF BEAMIES- chicken & shrimp gumbo, black eyed pea jambalaya, shrimp and grits, my fav's in order were the chicken and shrimp gumbo, the shrimp and grits, then the black eyed pea jambalaya. I also ordered the 1/2 dozen Rockefeller oysters and they were amazing. The hush puppies that came with them were just okay. Overall, I enjoyed this meal.
