The person named Ben taking to go orders is to busy talking while on the clock. As I'm standing waiting on my food that's already ready while he chooses to be lazy and talk for 7 minutes. Had to get somebody else that was doing the job to get his attention. After so he didn't apologize or anything. But that's just who Ben is I guess if he wasn't he wouldn't have made himself look such a way. Food is 10/10 person that helped me after being ignored is 10/10. Nice place. Was clean and service was quick. Cheese curds were really good. Unfortunately the Shepards pie was just a bowl of mashed potatoes with cheese on top and gravy underneath. There was virtually no meat or vegetables in the dish. I was surprised that our server didn't ask if there was something wrong with the dish because I didn't eat but a couple bites of it and do t want a to go box. Decided to go here for Saturday lunch 23rd March 2024. Tell the lady we would prefer a booth and for the next few minutes she is studying the seating device. I could have told her what booths were available just by looking up and out over the dining room. This modern dinner has an old school feel. There is a lot of available seating to include counter seating. There is a large menu and the options look great. I got the cinnamon roll pancakes and was very happy with that choice. The flavor and texture were so great. My guest got the eggs Benedict and enjoyed them very much. My wife loves this place and I don't care for it at all. Everything I ever ordered there could have been better. The only thing I had there that had a good flavor was the beef but it was too tough to be edible. My wife ordered one of the breakfast type bowls and they put a plate with sliced avocado that was supposed to be on top. She was half through with it. Good local Diner. We have had two experiences here. First was a to go order of the fried chicken. It was super awesome. The second we Went for breakfast today. I got the meat lovers omelette. It's been forever since I went to Metro Diner and I'm glad I was in the area to try it out. let me tell you they have such incredible items on the menu to try it was hard to choose from. But I finally decided on the Bissell Breakfast and boy was it amazing and the great thing about getting the Breakfast that inside of bacon I had the option of turkey sausage links which was wonderful since I don't eat Pork. My last 3 visits to metro in the last year resulted in money back for uncooked eggs, than uncooked shepherds pie, the last time we were seated and ignored for 20 minutes so we left. Yesterday, we went to metro for dinner to see if there's been any changes in staff or kitchen/cooking procedures and to our surprise we got great service, the food was good, and we enjoyed our dinner. I've eaten at the Metro Diner several times and keep going back. They have a breakfast menu and a lunch/dinner menu. It's a diner, so everything looks a bit hectic, but it's really carefully organized chaos. The staff are very friendly and anxious to engage in a bit of fun. The food is always good and the portions are generous. Prices are also reasonable. You might have to wait a few minutes for a table because at times they fill up. Once seated however, service is quick. I was with a group of 10 some of us ordered breakfast others had lunch. Our meals came out quickly, all together, and hot. Yesterday I had breakfast. I ordered biscuits and gravy. It comes with two biscuits, two eggs, and hash browns. It was very filling. I was sated for the rest of the day and into the evening.
