The food was absolutely amazing, the sandwiches are so big they can barely fit in your mouth with thin sliced meat and fresh lettuce and tomato on top condiments are left off sandwiches and placed in the front so that you can get and customize your sandwich to your liking, the wings were winging and I'm a very picky girl when it comes to my wings they were cooked perfectly and flavored to perfection. The tables were clean. We found a seat first, and then one of us put the order in. They fill up fast if you want to dine in. One of the onion rings was a little too salty, but the other ones were fine. They serve good-sized sandwiches, so we had to take food home. The chicken sandwich was really juicy, so the bread got a little soggy. There seemed to be quite a few people who are regulars. All of the staff are nice and polite. This is a place I would go back to so I could try something different. The food was hot, but dome of the onion rings were overcooked. The MacK sauce went well with the onion rings. read more

Wow, I was blown away by the quality of the food here, the enormous portions, and the fantastic price! We were looking for somewhere for a quick bite, and this place certainly was quick despite being peak lunch hour on a busy weekend. Everything on the menu looks delicious and the sandwiches we got were above and beyond what we were expecting. I especially love the sauce bar - who doesn't love unlimited ranch? We tried the meatball and steak sandwich both were good but the steak was so full of flavor and was our favorite of the two. Wow ! The moment you walk in you feel the happy buzz of the patrons eating lunch!! ( there is also the option for outside tables. ) The menu has a great selection! The girls taking the orders are friendly and welcoming as well as very helpful. We sat at the counter and my husband was impresses with their work ethic and helpfulness to the customers. Absolutely delicious food!! I live in Aiken and have passed by Marks a million times. But have not stopped until today. The staff were very friendly. I ordered the Blackened chicken salad. The chicken was cooked to perfection and was hot. I got mine to go and it was ready in about 5 minutes. Another thing is when you get it to go they separate the hot chicken from the rest of the salad. That way your veg dose not get mushy. Today was the first time I've been here. I was a little taken back at the name of my meal "chicken toes" but do not frat they were not actually chicken toes. The chicken was very yummy, and the fries were very crunchy (which is my fav). I'm a big ranch person and there ranch didn't disappoint. Mack's is a great casual restaurant! We had stopped in on a day we were just running errands and had salads. When you think of a salad you think a little bowl of lettuce, nope not here. These were large salads with many ingredients they were fresh and delicious. I absolutely love their house dressing, they make it right there! We ordered The Boardwalk Special (super tender sirloin, fresh and delicious) and The Dubliner (So good! Even though the menu mentions bacon jam, I just wasn't expecting it and had to look at the menu again to recall what I was eating. I heard good things about this place and grabbed a cheese steak from them. It was really good! It came with provolone (sorry to those who believe in wiz) and the usual toppings. The waffle fries were good and the staff included "Mac" sauce. It tasted quite a bit like McDonald's sweet and sour nugget sauce, but was good on the fries. Seems that MacK's pretty regularly runs out of food on Saturdays, closing early. I've tried to order pickup via phone several times in recent months, only to have no answer, or to be bumped to a non-relevant voice-mail. I've also drive to the restaurant only find it closed by 3:30pm (like today, a Saturday during the month of December!. Great food, friendly service, but they seem to have a problem with getting enough ingredients to meet the obvious high demand for their offerings...Disappointing, to say the least...We were so happy to see the quality and service of the food to be so good when they opened, but closing early on what seems like a regular basis does not bode well for keeping regular customers! read more

Went in today with my husband- it was after the lunch rush so not busy at all. All of the employees were super sweet. Our order came out quickly -we had the Joe Meatball and the Philly cheese steak. We had to look for the address online as there is no signage to be found anywhere... what could this mean? We arrived at 11:00 in order to avoid the lunch rush and although there was a counter full of carry out orders, the line to place orders was short. You don't pay for your food until it's delivered (more on that later), so we found a booth, sat down then got up for another one nearby as the table top was sticky and gross. When our sandwiches arrived at our new location, we were anxious to dig in only to find that my sandwich, The Ludlow (pastrami, swiss on marbled rye) is merely cold pastrami (plenty of it though) and a slice of melted swiss on un-toasted bread. Certainly nothing I couldn't prepare at home and sadly, certainly nothing that impressed me. George said that his sandwich, The Hitchcock was just ok but definitely, not something to write home about. We finished our lunch and don't get me wrong....the food was decent. We got up to pay for our food and saw that the line to order is the same line to pay. Really bad logistics because you see, we were now seventh and eighth in line. They may want to think about collecting when the order is placed....why in the world not? But is' not over yet, folks.... When I got to said register, I noticed that three of the six people in the kitchen (three of whom were preparing the sandwiches) were not, I repeat NOT wearing masks! Now, I'm not a mask Nazi but enough was enough. George asked to speak to a manager and was told (get ready for this) he's busy making sandwiches! Needless to say, MacK's is off my list. The food was really good very flavorful and the portions are just the right size. We ordered a desert, the cake was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were two things that I was disappointed in. One I'm not a fan of Amoroso bread when your sandwich has a lot of juice to it it just makes for a more soggy sandwich, I wish there was a more sturdier bread that could be utilized for these. I understand the owners are from South Jersey close to Philly and that's how it's done but coming from the north east I am use to a nice crusty outside/soft inside bread. The other thing is that it is a small place overall so it didn't surprise me to see that there was no social distancing implemented but it was disappointing. I will be going back but for just takeout for now. I highly recommend that people give this place a try and if you weren't happy your first time around try it again. All new restaurants have a growing phase and an adjustment phase, they have something really good here and I think it'll only get better as they grow. I would like to see a nice cheeseburger on a good old fashion hard roll in the future. Best of luck to Mack's looking forward to trying some other menu items. read more
