This place is simply fabulous. Not only are they located UBER-wicked close to the place in which I dwell, BUT....I love people that are accommodating w/o going over-the-top. Seriously, I'd rather take an asshole over someone who was UP MINE. It's hard going shopping sometimes bc of that very issue. The sales reps start running towards you like extras on "28 Days later" slobbering on themselves, running into gondolas and sweating profusely. God, that or you get the impression that the whole staff decided to go "rail it up" in the break room before the store opened. They form from the shadows like, "HEY!!! CAN I HELP YA?!" Then, when you turn to escape, BAM!! AMBUSH! Another one is like, "HEY!! Were you looking for something in particular!?" Then, the second you finger even gets close enough to a shirt to cause static electricity it's like, "HOLY SHIT!! WANT ME TO START A ROOM FOR YOU!!?? -cue awkward pause and heavy breathing-" Oh, then if you make the mistake of trying something on after dealing w/ the lunatics, thus far, you'll hear wheels shooting across the floor then suddenly they screech only to have the outcome be the rep on a mechanics board appear from underneath your door asking, "OMG! How does it look!? Is it awesome!? NEED ANOTHER SIZE!!!???" (Haha, thanks for that one Ellen) AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! -cue shotgun noise- Anywho, this place was perfect. That owner is the sweetest, most precious thing ever born into a world. I stumbled in there frantic-as-hell bc it was I was trying to overnight something before it was too late, bc I procrastinate like a mother f*&%er, and after watching me two-step in that small establishment for 10minutes he finally asked, "Ma'am....anything I could help you with -in his precious old man voice-?" You know, I don't know if he was giving me time or was too scared to approach me bc of my crackheadish demeanor, but either way, it worked. After explaining my situation, he helped me pick out all of my shipping necessities and he even took my items, wrapped them ever-so-lovingly, then placed them in the box. At one point he had to open the box back up to remove a price tag on the stuffed animal and it when it was revealed he said, "OH! Well, good morrrrrrrning! Didn't mean to wake you. This will only take one moment, then you can get back to sleep. " Hahaha, holy monkey balls. I mean, maybe that sounds weird to some people, but I loved it. In fact, I died a little inside bc it was so f*&%ing precious. Anywho, he worked out the best deal for me and even though I was panic-stricken and all over the place, he judged-me-not and was super sweet and helpful. Love it!!! read more

The main reason you go to a post place, is to ship something. And this place does that exactly. But not much more. The absolute worst thing that they're known for, is how much it costs. I realize that they are not the United States Postal Service, but really folks? It cost me $40 to ship something that should've cost me about $10 from the post office. I guess I was just stupid and forgot how much flat rate boxes at the United States Postal Service costs. The only reason that I still went with it, is because it was for Father's Day and I was already late. Plus they stay open one hour later than the post service, which I guess is nice in a pinch. I asked what the Priority rate was, and they made it seem like I was asking them to go above and beyond their duties. Overall I felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there. After shipping many, many packages from this location, I was unfortunate enough to meet the owner (I am assuming she was the owner by the way she acted). This Russian lady was SO incredibly rude to me, that I picked up my package and walked out... swearing never to return. I was merely dropping off a pre-paid USPS package and needed some tape to seal the box. She started patching 2" strips of tape on the 12" box...without even closing the box correctly (inside this box was close to $4000 worth of jewelry) and glared at me and said "you know we don't make a cent on these". I've spent over a thousand dollars shipping packages from that store, and all she could see was the two cents of tape being used on a USPS package... she's a nut. Avoid this store at all costs... I can't believe how much they are overcharging for USPS postage. I can't even believe that this is legal!!! A simple delivery confirmation is $ 0.85 at the post office ($ 0.19 if you buy online), at Postmark'd it's $ 2.00. I could understand if they'd make it $ 1.00 instead of the $ 0.85 post office price, but $ 2.00 is extortion. Of course also the postage itself is daylight robbery. They don't do Parcel Post, so they basically force you to pay more for Priority. In my case the package was under 2 lbs, I paid $ 15.00, post office would have been $ 7.60 and online would have been 7.38 (including delivery confirmation). There is only one solution here, I will never ever go there again to mail my stuff. I understand to charge a little more, but those rates are out of this world. read more

They're close to my house and I've been using them for a year or so since I moved in. Their prices are stupidly high but they're local... Last straw was when I shipped something and gave them instructions on how I wanted it packed, was charged for the "deluxe packing" and then they packed it poorly anyway. The item I sent was destroyed in transit, and no way to replace it. They agreed to use two layers of bubble tape and no less than 3 inches of peanuts all around the item. What they did was one layer of bubble tape ONLY. In a very small box. For this I was charged an additional $35 in packing supplies... Don't trust them to pack anything. read more

I've really tried to like doing business at Postmark'd on Escarpment Blvd. I'm sure they're good folks, they're just not very good business folks. Anytime I call -even during business hours- there's a 50% chance it goes to answering machine. Want to mail a package? It's convenient as heck, but the mark-up is insane. Example: Today I brought in a ready-to-ship Fedex package for Standard Overnight delivery (less than 1 lb). Their price was $137.00. Took same package to Kinko's on Brodie and shipped it using the exact same service for $51.50. I understand needing to make a margin, but that's a big delta for something that only needs a shipping label. Do yourself a favor and head to Brodie. Even at these ridiculous diesel prices- you'll be glad you did. read more

This little shipping store is just down the street from where I live. The owner Parvez and manager David, are very professional and friendly. This is the only place I use since 2013, as I need a professional address for my internet businesses. I have 3 or 4 different names. My mail do get stacked up once in a while while I am gone on a vacation and they hold everything for me, including the junk mail. My boxes do not get lost both ways--shipping out and returns from my customers. What else can I say? They even let my friend tag on to my account without an extra charge, so it is worth the service fees I pay for all of the above. The parking is OK. Not their fault, as it is a busy complex with Starbuck's a few doors away. read more

Here to report another Angry David story. I've been a regular, loyal customer of theirs for more than 10 years so I take no pleasure in writing this. In short, a couple days ago I had the most bizarre customer service experience I can remember. Afterwards, I sent the manager an email to discuss (I can't remember the last time I "asked to speak to the manager" about anything), but it's been more than 2 days without a response (also not great), so here I am. David spared me the profanity that E.R. experienced (see her recent review), but he didn't spare the hostility. The gist of the exchange is that my request to process simple returns (in the same way they are always handled) was not well received. He was oddly confrontational in both tone and choice of words. He even called my simple request "annoying," and in front of a couple other people in the store. I won't write a negative review based on "Bad" service (food too cold/steak overcooked/waited on hold too long). This went into a different territory. I took the packages the extra few miles to the UPS STORE OFF OF WILLIAM CANNON and asked them to do literally the same thing. Pleasant/helpful experience. Decided to tip the guy $5 just for not being like David. read more

Even though it held them up for a good 20-30 minutes, they did their absolute best to make sure it was packaged safely. I see that Postmark'd has only received rave reviews on Yelp and I'm sorry to be the one to blemish its record. I've never used Postmark'd before (I usually use the postal services at Stor Self Storage on Slaughter) but I decided to use it because it was within walking distance of my house, I'm bedridden, and my elderly father is the only one who can run errands for me but does not drive so the errands have to be within walking distance. I've mailed many USPS packages by priority mail before. I know that as long as the package fits in the envelope, it can be shipped for the flat rate. My package was a SMALL shirt - a birthday present for one of my many tween-age nieces. To make it easier for my dad, I stuck it in an envelope with my address and her address on it, and when it came time to mailing, he could just stick it in the flat rate envelope. I expected it to fit in the $4.95 rate envelope because I've sent many single items of clothing to my nieces and nephews, and they have all fit in the $4.95 rate envelope. However, when my father went to Postmark'd and asked for it to be shipped by priority mail using the flat rate and asked for the envelope, the person there simply stated that the package could not be sent by priority mail using the flat rate. The person said that the package would not fit in the envelope without even giving my dad the envelope or testing to see if the package would fit in the envelope. Instead, the person charged him the other rate and ended up charging him almost $10 - double the flat rate. My dad didn't want to argue with the person (English is my dad's second language) so he paid for it. Yes, it's just $10 but it's the total disregard for customer service that irks me. Either the person was too lazy to get the envelope or too incompetent to know that the package could fit in the envelope (or at least try and see if it would fit). I'm extremely disappointed and will not use services from Postmark'd. read more

Ok, so I waited until the last minute to ship Christmas presents (which had been sitting in my trunk for weeks) but Postmark'd saved the day again! I ship things from here regularly but this particular instance warranted an outstanding review. I walked in a couple days before Christmas with boxes of gifts for my wife's family all going to different locations. I was short on time and I needed them all wrapped and delivered by Christmas Eve and the owner assured me it would get done. Not only were all of the presents expertly wrapped but they arrived just in time for the holidays which saved me a serious lecture from my wife. Her family kept gushing about how nicely wrapped the gifts were and my wife was none the wiser that I had shipped them 3 days before Christmas. While convenient, these folks are very expensive. I understand they need to make a profit, but marking up postage 100% or more is way too much. I wanted to send a flat rate medium box USPS is $9.50, Postmark'd wanted $20.50. 3 pound package to France USPS first class is $22.50, Postmark'd wanted $40.90 to ship it USPS first class. Lastly, wanted to send two Yakima roof rack bars in their original package (end caps on each end). The dude says $40 plus $9 to box them up. I point out that's how the factory mailed them to me. He says "it would be illegal to ship them that way". Grabbed my stuff and boogied to the post office at Old Fredericksburg Road. Only 4 miles away and a 10-minute wait (yeah not convenient) but the total was $50.65 for everything. They also took the crossbars as they were, without the BS about "illegal" packaging. It would have been $112.40 at Postmark'd. Maybe they should change their name to Postmark'd WAY UP. read more

I have used Postmark'd for my mailbox location for at least the last 3 years, if not longer. They knew me by name and were friendly and convenient. When it came time to renew my mailbox they stuck the usual note in the box. I planned on renewing the box for another year as always even tho it was no longer convenient to my office. As happens life got hectic and I forgot I was up for renewal. I went in today to renew and the owner told me he closed the box and returned all the mail because it had been 3 weeks since he gave me notice. My problem with this is I never even got a phone call about it. He knew I didn't come in very frequently and had all my current numbers and email on file to let me know he was closing the box. I am so disappointed in the customer service, a phone call could have saved him a customer! Instead I now have a box at the local Post Office that cost me HALF of what I would have paid there. Words can't express my disappointment in Postmark'd. Think twice before you use them, your business won't be appreciated! read more

I firmly believe that all of the positive reviews of this place posted are by friends or those related to this business The gentleman running the place is the antithesis of customer service. And, I am a forgiving consumer who has been in several times, each time, hoping that my last encounter was a "mistake" "bad day" for the person working there. I am surprised this place is still in business. I think it is because there is not another convenient location for these services. And, they don't offer that much with one copier and their stringent requirements on sending items.They are also more expensive to send items than the post office near the middle school. I am hoping that an alternative place will open up soon in the new shopping centers. I am encouraging other copy places to open businesses in this area. I will not be surprised if this place goes out of business or changes management if services do not improve there. If it does go under, instead of asking "why?" look most of the reviews. If you want consumer business, you have to treat people with respect and provide good services. Neither of these requirements is met at this Postmark'd location. read more

I took in a package with a pre-paid UPS label. The box I used was a USED USPS Priority Mail box. I marked out all the PRIORITY MAIL labeling, taped up the box, and used the UPS label. Well, the young blond lady behind the counter said they could not take the item because it was in a Priority Mail box. I said even if all the writing is make out, she said "yes I could not use that box". Well, I took the same box over to the UPS store by Costco and they took it. UPS said there was not problem with using a used Priority Mail box. UPS said,just come back there for service, and I will. The customer service at POSTMARK'D has diminished. One star is a gift. They wanted to charge me over $22 for a packed, taped, addressed and ready-to-go priority mail flat rate $12.65 box. When I asked about the up-charge, I was told "we are not the post office." No, indeed. I left and instead dropped my package with a much friendlier USPS office where it cost me - you guessed it - $12.65, insurance included.
