Had a UPS packaged re-routed to this place and the guy/owner was completely unreasonable, rude, and could not exercise common sense. Package had my company name. Address on package matched my ID. Also surrendered the "Info-notice" paper slip left at my home that belonged to that package. He kept insisting that company name and ID name did not match even though my company name has my first name in the name itself. He was rude raising his voice in front of my son and try to intimidate by taking a step into my face. He then said he would make an exception "this time" and release package after he photocopied my Driver's license and made me sign. After talking to UPS customer service they stated that as long as I had the "info-notice" slip and that the address matched the ID the package that he should of released it with no questions asked. UPS has made a note of the event. UPS will be addressing the issue with the UPS access point Postal Annex so in the future UPS customers don't go through the inconvenience and bad experience that I went through. read more

Sent my assistant to mail a box, it was a USPS Small Flat Rate Box which generally costs $7.20 to mail within the US. Unfortunately she went here and they ended up charging her $13.70 and told her it was because of the "weight." But the whole purpose of using a flat rate box is because you can put any weight into it and as long as it fits it ships for one price. So they basically ripped her off and when I called them to ask why they charged so much the guy claimed to be ignorant about postal prices and doesn't know what fees are imposed, etc. Please, you work at a postal store, it is basically your job to understand the postal system. I would expect that this place would charge a small convenience fee to print a label but $6.00? That's ridiculous and they way I was treated on the phone was even more ridiculous. read more

I needed a private mailbox and chose this one largely because of the location. It is conveniently located near the 134 freeway. It also has a Bank of America, Vons, Starbucks, and Togo's in the same shopping center. And they accept ready-to-go packages with the shipping labels on them. The owners seem very nice and always greet you right when you walk in. Service in picking up packages has always been good. One thing I don't recommend doing here is buying postage stamps. Sure, you can buy whichever variety you want, but it will ending up costing more than if you bought them at the post office. Instead, I recommend buying stamps at Vons next door, where they are the same price as the post office. I am glad I chose this place to rent my private mailbox. It's convenient option to have my mail and packages held for me securely. read more

I am completely obsessed with this place. The lady and gentleman who work there are warm and welcoming, I can get competitive pricing for my shipping needs (UPS,USPS,FEDEX), and they are cheaper to fax things from than anywhere else I have found ($1 per page). The last time I was there I needed to ship some liquid out of state, and not only did I get an extremely good deal, the gentleman would not rest until he found a box that was not too big, but had enough room to give some cushion to it for the liquid. Worst customer service of my life. No exaggeration. I was trying to get a notarization and the guy literally began yelling at me telling me that the way I needed the notarization was wrong. Yes, he actually yelled at me when I was asking him a question. I had to interrupt and tell him to stop yelling at me, what an idiot. The old guy who runs this place lacks customer service skills. He was working with a customer who needed a ton of paperwork to notarize. The customer was still filling out the forms. We just wanted to buy a $1 envelope; wouldn't have taken him more than a minute to ring us up. Even the other customer suggested to go ahead and help us out real quick. But, he wouldn't be bothered. He rudely said something to the effect: "I'm notarizing, I don't want to be disturbed". I used to ship things a lot with this place but that was when an older lady was working there - she was a lot nicer. read more

Oh what fun I've had today with the Postal Annex at Pass Ave. I sent a package - USPS first class - through them with tracking info 12 days ago. After the tracking showed online that it hadn't shipped yet for a full 5 days, I contacted Ruth, a very dear person 'in person,' and she told me not to worry until 9 days after dropping it off. And if it still hadn't arrived, I could contact their rep at USPS personally who is a manager. I attempted to be satisfied by that reassurance, as false as it sounded. On a personal note, I knew then that one of my 3 nieces was going to watch her cousins open up their Valentine's presents from me and not have one of her own...and all I could do was warn her mother of that fact. But hopefully after the holiday was over, I could use the resource offered to locate the package and get it to her, better late than never. Unfortunately and as suspected, after 12 days (today), the package had not arrived, so I contacted Postal Annex again for the direct line to the USPS rep. I got it, contacted USPS - turns out it wasn't a direct line at all. But I spoke to a helpful person named Liz at USPS who told me that they never received the package from Postal Annex, I'd have to contact Postal Annex regarding this package and why it wasn't given to USPS for shipment. So, I called Postal Annex back and got the less kind Andre who took a confrontational approach from the start. I'm sure it's a horrible job, and I know for a fact they are always busy and on their feet. BUT OH MY GOODNESS. Andre repeatedly told me it wasn't their responsibility, accused me of saying he was lying and had stolen my package when allllllll I was saying was "the post office says they didn't get it and to contact you to see if it's been lost." The third time he interrupted me, he started going on a laundry list of how bad the post office sucks (like we don't know that - but it's pretty incredible anything EVER gets delivered, so there is that part). Eventually, I confess, I had to raise my voice to match his in the hopes that he would listen to what I was actually saying. I can honestly say he never did hear me. Andre, I'm so sorry that you hate your job and the people you deal with both in the store and through the mail services you supply, but you have GOT to learn some decent customer service skills. When you are providing a service to people for money and that service doesn't go as planned, all you have to do is tell people that you will be happy to help them, and then help them! Once you've exhausted your own resources in helping them, you can apologize and assume responsibility or give them the information for how to get reimbursed if it is truly not your responsibility. STARTING a conversation with "it's not my fault" as anyone resembling a professional is just embarrassing. So, if you would like to conveniently drop off packages that could be lost and have given people money who claim no responsibility and will not help you fix the problem or even treat you like a human, you've found your vendor! read more

It's very expensive. $3 to use the computer for a minute not including the cost of printing. I called first and the woman graciously invited me to use "her" computer to print my pre-paid shipping label so I assumed it was a courtesy. Whatever. The second time I went I had to pay for shipping and they told me my cheapest option was some Fed-Ex method which cost me double than if I'd just gone to the post office. i had just spent $630 to send an urgent package to Korea the previous day, from the UPS store just up the street. for an unknown reason, UPS returned the package and i was called back to ask if i wanted to try re-sending it or just wanted it back. you would think that for that kind of money, UPS wouldn't f*** anything up. but they did, and there was no acceptable explanation. at any rate, i picked up my package and brought my business here to Ruth and Andre. they were very attentive. more than anything, i just wanted to get it there by Friday. Andre repackaged my shipment in a box with a better fit, and called each carrier separately to make sure my package would be there by Friday. DHL picked it up and Andre placed a followup call to them, and they revised their earlier projection, saying it would most likely be there by Saturday. Andre called me right away and informed me of the change. it wasn't ideal, but i had to accept it, and ultimately the service that Ruth and Andre provided was what made the whole debacle somewhat palatable. they are kind of awesome. read more

Came in to send a package out. Met Ruth and she was such a sweet heart. My boyfriend and I weren't prepared to send out our package. Ruth helped us pack it up nicely and handled everything. Terrible customer service. Andre has got to be one of grumpiest person I've met in a while. Doesn't make eye contact, doesn't say hello, all the while having a face on like he hates his job. Andre is incredibly rude, while I was having my passport picture taken, he tells me, "no smile." I just went along cause I thought you weren't allowed to smile on passport pictures or something, but I found out there's absolutely no rule saying that. AWFUL service. Terrible business. Possible criminal behavior. UPS re-routed an Amazon package that was an important, pricey birthday gift. I arrived with confirmation emails, tracking number, and my I.D. But they could still not locate the package. I called UPS and they said the driver had SCANNED EVERY PACKAGE SEPARATELY on location and dropped it off with ANDRE himself. And yet, this couple still proceeds to tell me that they cannot find the package. "It must be under a different name." Again, I showed them the confirmation information with shipping address, name, etc. They then told me the driver might have left it in his truck. Why would the driver SCAN THE PACKAGE and then ventured back to leave it in his truck? UPS called me again and told me that the package should be there. They spoke with the driver directly and he has dropped off packages there every morning. Happy birthday to me! read more

I recently had some documents notarized and then express mailed from here. The notary filled out the documents incorrectly. The business I sent them to told him they would send someone to redeliver and he could sign. He told them flat out "no" he would not accommodate, and so I had to go back in and have the documents re-done and mailed over again. Not only did he not apologize for his error, he charged me a second time to overnight the documents which were time sensitive. I don't care about the additional $25 spent to re-mail the documents. What I care about is this is the very definition of bad customer service. LYING TO A PAYING CUSTOMER and NOT WILLING TO ACCOMMODATE AND TAKE OWNERSHIP FOR THEIR WRONGDOING. It seems that along with other reviewers, this is clearly a business NOT to give your time or money. I have six other social media sites to post this review to so I'll keep on moving. read more

Absolutely insulting!! I've been coming to this establishment for 2+ years mildly helpful. Except Today. Went in yesterday to mail simple legal Documents and the male owner does what he always does checks the address to make sure they know where it's going he says "going to Canada?" I reply yes. It was a Simple form to fill out for FedEx then packaging, simple done. Today I get a call saying I used the wrong way bill and the documents were not going out today. I informed them that they were mistaken that they intact gave me the wrong one. They argued with me for some 20 min on who was write or wrong. I was made to feel like I was lying and simply made up the details the gentleman gave me the day prior. The women there yelled loudly that she didn't care about my account or my business.
