This location was listed as a place to schedule fingerprinting. So I scheduled an appt. I arrived at 10:45am, called the number in the door- my appt was 11am. The lady said all appointments begin at noon. Came back at 11:45am, chatted with some people in the neighborhood waiting for this place to open. All of them were very kind and let me know this place had been closed the day before and having some issues with hours etc. Anyways, she came by noon to open the door, said she couldn't do my fingerprints. I rescheduled to a place a few miles away! Anyways long story short, probably should find another place for services like fingerprinting if I were you. Hope this post helps others. read more

I was informed by the Fedex website that this location was able to provide shipping labels and return shipping labels/service. This wasn't the case when I walked in on Monday afternoon. The front staff informed me that I needed to go to another location. She rolled her eye and actually left turned around and walked away. Very rude. read more

I had an appointment for 10:30am, I stood outside waiting for someone to come to the door, nobody did anything to notify me that in fact they were closed, so I just wasted 45 minutes of my time. I called one of the numbers they had taped on the door in case of emergency, and a woman picked up and nonchalantly said that she was sick and wouldn't come in. No prior notification! I can't believe that this is the kind of customer service that they provide - it's appalling. read more

I paid $441 upfront for a full year for a mailbox -- in March 2025. Mid-year, Pipina falsely claimed I owed more, insisting that I had paid for three months only. When I said I had paid for the full year, she told me to prove it. As a business owner, it's on her to keep records--she had none. I spent hours with my bank proving payment. Then she did the same thing again yesterday - Jan 21st - insisting that I needed to pay for three months. I told her again I had paid for a full year when I joined. She denied it. . She lied, saying I started in December 2024, which was false. While I urgently needed my packages before flying to see my mother with cancer, she withheld them, saying, 'everyone has cancer.' Then While I was on the phone with my banker from her premises, she was yelling in the background, unhelpful when asked for details such as the name of the business, the amount of and month of the transaction. Finally the banker found the record again and she simply said 'I buy it." But you don't get to keep your mailbox anymore. No apology, no refund for the extra month and a half paid from Jan 21 to March 6 2026. When I returned home and tracked my packages, I found that she has neglected to give me at least 2 that were sent. I am too traumatized to go back into her place of business. I will need to file a claim for the stolen goods. This was a distressing, dishonest, and unprofessional experience. Avoid Post Box Inc. read more

Writing another review due to after closely looking into my returns I realized this was not the only return she has let fail. On March 28th I dropped off an Amazon return that was never processed. So add $33 do the $300 this store has lost me by failing to actually send out my returns packages. This package was also never returned to me. Make sure you get the prices to EVERYTHING you're getting. I went in for fingerprinting which should have only cost $71 plus their fee, which turned out to be $29, making the whole thing $100. Paying by credit card took it to $110.56. I asked about it and she said $100 is the cash price so they were charging a 10% credit card surcharge. That said, she was friendly and efficient. read more

Had to go here to do an I-9 employment verification as it is the closest option to my apartment. While I realize the place had its windows broken it was pretty ragged., I walked in and was told to sit---on the only option in the place, a low table. The clerk/owner raced about, headed outside on her mobile, people came and went and she was pleasant to them. I assumed we were waiting for someone who could do the I-9 to come. Finally, after I waited an hour (to be fair, I had arrived about 45 minutes early as I didn't want to come late), the woman says "I guess I won't get less busy" and starts my I-9 verification process that involves scanning my DL and SS card into a computer. Seriously, she made me wait close to an hour because she was busy--but not so busy she couldn't yammer to her partner about home stuff for 15 minutes-- and could have just gotten me in and out? I get being busy, but you'd think she'd want to get the person sitting there in the way out ASAP. Me being early means she doesn't have to think about me rest of day. But that's not the kicker. I get a call from Equifax late today that because she scanned my SS card in the area for back of driver's license, I must return and re-do it all. Take time from my day, pay a MUNI fare, expose myself to CV19 and sit on that table until she finds time for me because she screwed up? No. I wouldn't recommend this place to buy a postage stamp. AVOID. The owner/clerk is rude to those not her little group of regulars. Sure hope I wasn't exposed to COVID as she also took her mask down often and I had her regulars near me for an hour. I told the Equifax rep who called me to find another business in that part of town--there's a great Postal Annex I can recommend wholeheartedly! read more

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU CONSIDER USING THIS PLACE FOR WHATEVER REASON!!!! First Yelp review ever, and it's gotta be about this disaster of a place. They close randomly, no notice. I had booked this spot on Stowfly for a surprise gift for my girlfriend while I'm down in SoCal. Checked with Stowfly, confirmed I could pick it up on Thanksgiving day, and even kept an eye on Google and Apple Maps. Thanksgiving morning, I roll up at 11 am, and guess what? No one's in the store, even though Maps and Yelp say they're open. Found some emergency contact numbers on the door, so I call, and this lady picks up, she was being extremely rude, trying to give me a Thanksgiving 101 lecture. Like, seriously? I know what Thanksgiving is. My gf had to pick up her own gift the day after Thanksgiving, and even, they're open for just few hours during lunch time, again without any notice. When she got there, they told her one of the two packages is missing. Turns out, it was there all along, but they figured it out only after I hit up Stowfly customer service. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE Service. They've got this annoying habit of closing shop without a heads-up, so you will end up making multiple trips to grab your stuff. read more

Called here to inquire about livescan and the caller was informative and polite. There was no appointment needed. Upon arrival I was greeted and the lady begin to assist me. There were a few people that came in for P.O. Box but everyone was taking care of. There was only one lady and the place is small but not cluttered. My total was only $29 + taxes (my employer prepaid the other fees) but the lady informed me of my total before completing the service so that was helpful. She was fast with the livescan, and I paid after. Parking was okay because it was after rush hour. read more

The woman working here is incredibly rude, condescending, and outright hostile. I came in for an FD-258 fingerprint card required for my medical license, and she gave me the wrong one, causing it to be rejected by the medical board. When I called to explain what happened, she immediately became defensive and aggressive, demanding I prove the rejection by bringing in the board's letter. When I returned a few days later with the rejection letter, she actually argued with me about it and demanded another $35 fee. Even after I provided the correct fingerprint card sent directly by the medical board, she refused to fix the mistake unless I paid again. Her behavior came across as absurdly greedy, unprofessional, and petty. It's ridiculous for someone to become so aggressive and personally offended over a fingerprinting error. Avoid this business at all costs--no service is worth dealing with such hostility, and greed. read more

This is one of the most pleasant mailing experiences I have ever had. I continuously come back, they help ship my things with great ease and simplicity. I cannot recommend this business enough. Since moving to SF, I have not touched foot into a UPS or FedEx because of this store. There are rarely lines, they have never charged me for taping my boxes, and they helped with my international shipping by giving tips on how to help it get through customs easier. Rude, unhelpful and unprofessional staff. I've seen one person in particular have really aggressive arguments with customers who were just asking for basic assistance. They also charge extra for certain people because "they feel like it". They constantly are breaking the fee arrangements they have with FedEx and UPS. Really just the worst. read more

Small shop with one very sweet lady working in there. I went there to do a digital fingerprint scan and wasn't prepared with my paperwork etc. Most of the time the workers or people helping would just say something like "you should come back tomorrow" or "I can't help you if you don't have all the proper paperwork l" so I was thinking that was going to happen! By my surprise the lady was really really patient with me and tried to help me get the paperwork etc done for me. She even gave me her laptop to use!! This is what I call going above and beyond where most people won't even bother. I was standing outside this business while waiting for my dad to tie his shoe out front of the store. I wasn't aware I was blocking the side door. A man who works there tried to walk into me and knock me down to get me out of his way so he could walk in. a simple "you're in my way" would have been efficient but he tried to knock me down. I moved out of his way and he then proceeded to tell me that the face I was making was rude towards him. he then told my dad that it was rude he was tying his shoe in front of the business. I told him he was a grown man and to leave us alone and then he told us to shut up. very ridiculous man. read more

Every time I go here the people are so friendly. It's never crowded and they even helped me weigh my options when it came to different shipping methods and costs! Plus the general printing, doesn't need to be a shipping related print, is only 10 cents a page (compared to the UPS store that charges $4 to print a page!!) read more

They lost my package worth $100+, yelled at me and insulted me when I asked about it, even though I had never even gotten upset and was just trying to figure it out. They don't track packages and have no accountability if they lose one. Awesome! They are super helpful and nice. I need some print outs and they always do it for me. Their charges are reasonable too.

The owner obviously has some bias against people of color. Went in for fingerprints, and the guy was being really nice and welcoming to the white man before us, making jokes and generally being pleasant. When it was my turn to go, he completely turned cold to me and my girlfriend and acted like we were idiots for being unsure about something that he didn't even know. Completely unacceptable and calls into question his bias against the nonwhite immigrants he probably works with on a daily basis. read more

I made an appointment online the day before. I arrived two hours earlier and asked if I could obtain my services earlier but was told to come back even if there was nobody there in line. The person was rude. I came back 20 minutes before my appointment, the same woman was taking people in line and with without appointments before me. She knew I had been waiting and I had an appointment. I don't know if she was discriminating against me for some reason but it wasn't right. I didn't want to write this review but i felt that no one should be treated this way by anyone. I won't be doing anymore business here anymore and I don't recommend anyone to do so either. read more

Post Box's service is top notch: prompt, professional and efficient. I needed to mail a package and they courtesy printed the label for me, affixed it to the package and mailed it for no charge. A nearby national chain wanted to charge me $5+ just to print the label. I highly recommend this business for any services they offer from postal to fingerprinting to notary. read more

Post Box, Inc. is a top-shelf local business. They always bend over backwards for me, always cheerful, positive and courteous. Polar opposite to the treatment I received at the UPS Store on Polk Street, which made me a permanent Post Box customer. Earlier this week, I dumped a partially disassembled Amazon return on Peppina, and she was completely unphased and uncomplaining as I jumped back into my awaiting Uber and sped to my next meeting.
