This company deserves zero stars and I wouldn't recommend anyone use Porcelanosa for kitchen countertops. The whole experience and customer service have been atrocious. Especially for the cost ($16K) for kitchen countertops. The product isn't what they advertised (defective). I wish I would have known this information before I chose to go with this company. After many months of delay (4 months), the countertops were finally installed and one of the pieces was broken/cracked during the first installation. Although this product is advertised as being "indestructible" that is definitely not the case. So I had to wait two weeks for them to re-fabricate the piece. Leaving no accessible kitchen for 2 weeks. Then instead of fabricating the piece, they decided to cut corners and add a seam, which is very unsightly. Which was unauthorized and a breach of contract. The defective countertops also need brackets now because of this. Porcelanosa doesn't stand by their work and hasn't offered to repair or fix any of this either. The countertops also contained multiple scratches from installation and the use of a razor blade. The overall product does not look like the showroom quality that you see and I have attached pictures. The customer service by Porcelanosa has been slow to react, rude, and not acceptable for anyone to deal with. Especially for a company that states they are a luxury brand. This whole experience has been anything, but a luxury experience. It's been a disaster. I am still waiting on them to resolve this issue, but I am not holding my breath. I just don't want anyone else to suffer through the nightmare I have experienced. read more

Beautiful showroom!!! I would say it's my favorite store in the whole merchandise Mart. Basically if you like modern European style minimalism this is the place for you. I will be going back when I redecorate my kitchen and my bathroom.The store sells bathroom cabinets, flooring, kitchen cabinets and tiles. I was looking to replace my dated damaged laminate floors in my condo in June 2019. Patricia Forman helped me pick out some gorgeous luxury vinyl tile. She explained to me that this would be a good choice for me because I own a small puppy dog and it is considered a very low maintenance material that is water resistant!!!!! Basically the material looks just like wood but it is "commercial grade". They have commercial grade lvt which is more resistant to scratches than regular lvt that you see in other stores. This actually works very well for my lifestyle and is cost-effective and beautiful. Patricia provided me with some floor samples that I could take home and think about. Then in June I purchased the tile. She suggested an amazing team that came and completed the project to perfection in several days. I absolutely love my new floors!!!!! read more

We remodeled our bathroom about 6 months ago and it turned out exactly as we imagined. I get so happy every time I walk into our bathroom, it's gorgeous! They have a beautiful showroom and we went with their wavy Ona natural tiles and the coordinating smooth tiles for our walk-in shower. We worked with Andreas and were impressed with his customer service. He was very responsive to my calls and emails. I'm updating my review and down-grading to 1 start due to continuing customer service problems. Someone from marketing reached out here and I will update again to discuss how they handle it. Here's what else has happened: - I was told the toilet I ordered would arrive 1/15, but it hasn't been delivered, so I called today and they told me it was supposed to arrive on 1/25, 10 days later. They never called to update me, and the person I spoke with was surprised that she originally told me 1/15 and wondered why "the date changed". I paid over $120 for shipping (which is already high), and this pushes back our completion date by a week and a half, so this is unacceptable. - I've received different pricing at different times, from two different people, and from the same person on different dates. In both cases this was fixed to the lower prices I was originally quoted, but it's unprofessional and I'd like to see better organization when I'm paying this much for their products. - I ordered shower tiles and never received confirmation about the delivery date. I had to call the showroom to ask, and only then did they give me a tracking number, which showed the tiles were arriving the same day I called. Why didn't they send this information sooner? So, if you're okay having to keep calling the store to get information that you should have received in the first place, or you're okay with surprises about the prices you're quoted or having things delivered a week and a half later than you were told, then sure, go with them. But there are other places that have nice products and might have more reliable customer service. read more

I am in the process of remodeling my master bathroom. After searching for tile at numerous stores, I happened upon Porcelanosa in Lincoln Park. Although I did not have an appointment, I was immediately welcomed by Patricia Forman. I cannot say enough nice things about Patricia. Her eye for design is impeccable. Within mere minutes, Patricia understood what I was looking for and suggested floor tile, shower wall tile and shower floor tile. The tiles are absolutely gorgeous. Throughout the process, Patricia has been so helpful and communicative. She is incredibly knowledgeable and boosted my confidence in the project. Because of Patricia, my project has flowed so smoothly and is nearing completion (I will upload photos once completed because the tiles are stunning). The quality of the tiles and the prices simply cannot be beat. I had such a great experience that I returned to Porcelanosa and Patricia for help in selecting kitchen backsplash. Again, what Patricia suggested is what is being installed. Truly beautiful. I am now also working with Patricia on mirrors for both my master and guest bathroom This has been a remarkable experience and I plan to tell everyone within earshot to go to Porcelanosa and ask for Patricia. She is so good at what she does and I am so grateful for her. You have a happy customer for life! read more

Not only was their delivery not on time, but they did not even communicate that they missed portions of the order. I was initially very excited about seeing the products at Porcelanosa. The range of what they have done with porcelain tile and their Krion products were really nice. However, in working with the showroom to complete my purchase has been proven rather arduous and made me lose confidence in the company overall. A. Product knowledge - the sales consultant I worked with was vastly removed from reality in terms of how products could be installed or how to think about the end result in nuances regarding backsplashes, edging and other details. It might be that they are only used to speaking with industry professionals, but if that is the case, they shouldn't have a retail presence positioned to do direct to customer sales. B. Pricing and quotes - limited familiarity with Krion; given that this is supposed to be a popular product, it was surprising that my sales consultant could not give me any ballpark indication on price or how to actually purchase the countertop without filling out the form and waiting weeks for the fabricator to come back to her...she asked me questions from the quotation form that she herself couldn't explain what the choice was regarding (e.g., what style edging, what type of finish - literally still don't know what that means as there was no example in store or on line between the two options). How is a customer expected to know the product better than the sales person? C. Placing an order - I placed two orders. One for tile / shower pan and another for a Krion kitchen countertop. The first was completed fine (I think, but I'm still waiting for delivery) with a different rep. The second, was grossly mishandled. When I called my sales consultant to place the order, and asked how to place the order, her immediate response was "that's a good question" -- as if she didn't know herself. Then she proceeded to not be able to answer questions about how the process would work with the fabricator and final estimate on site. Once we cleared all the paperwork to complete the purchase, I double checked the delivery address and it was wrong. The next day, she sent me an invoice for an additional fee due to location -- this amounted to 24% of the countertop cost as if it was no big deal, just pay the price of a small Chanel purse because she didn't realize that delivery should go to the same address as the first order did. I am literally at my wits end with his process. It is not clear to me if this is a company that expects to make any money off of its retail business. I haven't even gotten to the point of receiving any of the merchandise after paying thousands of dollars to them. Please learn from my mistake (I wish I was better at taking advice from other reviewers here). Don't come here unless you are planning to have someone else deal with their sales consultants. read more

We purchased our flooring from Porcelanosa and loved working with them! Their showroom is beautiful and they had samples of everything we wanted to consider - they even had small samples of flooring we could take with us to put next to furniture at our house. I never felt like we were getting a "hard sell" like you find at so many home places - they let us take our time and decide what we wanted and were helpful without being pushy. After we ordered our flooring, we still found them to be extremely friendly and responsive, and very helpful when we had questions! We were unsure when to order/find an installer, and they helped us through that process and provided us a list of installers to call. Most importantly, the flooring is great quality! We went with LVT in our main rooms and a porcelain tile in our sun room and we get compliments on both of them all the time! read more

My husband and I are DIYers and had a wonderful experience at Porcelanosa in the Merchandise Mart. We began researching our bathroom remodel last year about this time and walked in to get some ideas and pricing on tile. Within a month, we were placing our order. Irene assisted us with the entire process. In addition to the tiles, we ended up ordering our sink, shower/bath fixtures, towel warmer, shower door, and faucet from there too. We hadn't considered these other items from them before. She was so patient with our indecisiveness since we were designing on the fly. Since I couldn't find any reviews, I have to admit we were nervous about the overall quality of the plumbing fixtures (flow rate, etc...). Even though we placed our order in december, we didn't accept delivery until July. It was so helpful that they allowed us to do that since we moved gutting our bathroom from April to September. We have now officially completed our bathroom remodel a month ago and are happy to report that everything is awesome! Thanks Irene for everything!! read more

Porcelanosa has exquisite ceramic products but I would strongly advise against purchasing any of their cabinetry. We ordered two custom vanity units and were shocked to discover that the dimensions are substantially different to those we were given. We now have to demolish the newly built walls so that the sconces etc are correctly located. This was not due to a lack of effort on our part. We repeatedly phoned to conform the dimensions, and got different answers every time we phoned. The sales assistant was useless for the most part. She did not know the difference between an inside and an outside measurement (and suggested that they were the same). Our experience has been a truly expensive disaster, and we would definitely just take photos and get them made locally if we did this again. read more

I knew the look I wanted and she patiently worked out all of my needs for the kitchen. I also chose flooring from Porcelanosa and it was also beautiful. Menards recommended this store as they carry most of all faucet parts that you cannot find in normal franchise stores. They are very knowledgeable with the products. They customize an offshelf product to my old faucet specs. Great service. Friendly family who took over the store recently. read more
