Everything bagel. Plain bagel. Jalapeño popper cream cheese

Soooooo good ! Came on a Saturday morning and we waited in line for maybe 10 minutes ? Then we waited another 5 minutes for the bagels to come out. You have to buy a pack of 3 at minimum and it's rip and dip style bagels. Very limited seating and eating this gets super messy bc of the seeds and all. Bagels came out FRESH AND HOT. My friends and I were struggling to rip them when they came out haha. Crispy outside and super soft on the inside. Worth the hype

Went to the comic con pop up at the Pendry and was eager to try these popular bagels. For this event, they were only selling bagels in groups of 3 with 1/2 lb cream cheese. I thought it was quite expensive at $16! The bagels were warm and soft and loaded with toppings (everything and sesame), but were rather small and didn't live up to the hype for me.

I have been looking forward to my SD trip to have pop up bagels and it was worth the wait! Last time I had it was January and Boston and I've been dreaming of that delicious scallion cream cheese and warm everything and salted bagel for MONTHS! It was just as good on the west coast. This location has indoor and outdoor seating which is awesome! We walked to the end of the street and got ourselves some fun lattes to have with the bagels. Yum!

Hands-down, one of the best bagel shops in town- known for their thin, crispy crust and a soft, almost airy interior, which differs from traditional dense bagels. These bagels are designed to be torn by hand and dipped into unique schmears! It's all part of their trademark experience- "Grip, Rip, and Dip" method. And don't even get me started on their schmears! They have unique, varied toppings- spicy scallion, sabatino truffle butter, spinach artichoke, and plain (among other greats). Scallion cream cheese is by far my fav 10/10! Bagels are served fresh and warm, never pre-sliced! Bagels have a crackly crust with a dense, chewy, yet tender interior! Overall, service and the quality of their bagels is second to none! Prices are high compared to other bagel shops around town. But well worth it!

Fast paced spot with good bagels!! As a New Yorker, I take my bagels very seriously and these definitely were good. The menu is simple, and there's a reason they're well known. It was my first visit, and I'll admit the staff came off a tiny bit rude, especially since I didn't realize there was a minimum order (apparently 3 bagels or more). I didn't do my research ahead of time, so hopefully this helps the next person! That said, it's a cute little grab-and-go place. I tried the everything and salt bagels both were yummy, and hit the spot. I'd go back, just better prepared next time!

I got a few to try but started simple with plain and scallion cream cheese..... damn these were fresh and so good. They run a tight ship with great staff and it's a fun spot with good vibes and some pretty amazing bagels. I will be back!!!

How ironic is it that I came to SD most excited for the Mexican food, but this was one of my favorite bites of the trip? Got the sesame, salt, and everything with scallion shmear. Salt was somehow my favorite. Fresh out of the oven it was so so good. I'm sad I forgot the leftovers in my fridge when leaving town. The "service" is a little chaotic, prepare to feel like cattle, but it was fast and they did give me an extra bagel.

    Salt bagel so yummmmmy

Love this place! The bagel was piping hot and there was no line when I went. Service was good and quick. I got the salt bagel and tried it with the scallion cream cheese and butter, it was divine! It's a trendy looking spot so I was weary but the bagels were really that good. Simple menu and straight to the point. The only thing I didn't like was that there is a minimum 3 bagel order and that it's quite pricey! I would definitely come again when I am in the area and want a quick bagel fix.

Was hoping the gloomy weather and late afternoon visit would produce no line this Sunday and I was lucky ! Parking sucked but whatever . The same manager works so hard but always has the most welcoming smile! He remembers faces too (or overly excited customers like us). The bagels - NO JOKE - are ridiculously amazing EVEN AN HOUR BEFORE CLOSING. Name one other bagel shop in SD that has this other than PUB. I'm doing an extra two workouts a week so I can come here for weekend bagels :) They do sub extra bagel(s) if you don't want any spreads so that's a great option (not available for online orders so best to do it in person). Thank you staff today !

Second time back & I'm obsessed ! It does get super packed, but the line moves quick ! I ordered the 3 pack of bagels where you choose your bagels and cream cheese that they call schmear. I've tried a few flavors! sesame - not my fave salt - bomb! so soft and perfect !! I couldn't wait to get home I ate the whole thing without cream cheese everything bagel - amazing ! bomb so much flavor this one's a must try plain - is good, but prefer the others Both times I've gone they've been out of most cream cheese flavors, but the scallion and plain were available and both are good! The scallion I'm obsessed with. Inside is cute and aesthetic. Service is okay. Parking can be a hit or miss since the lot space is small, but def come by and grab your bagels!

when it's fresh it's so piping hot so it tastes amazing when you eat it right away. also i tried their truffle butter and that was the best butter i've tasted in my entire life. oh and you have to try the salt bagel. that's like the best bagel i've tasted in my life too. they also were so kind and gave us 4 bagels in the 3 pack! service is super quick which i appreciated.

SO excited to see this bagel place Pop Up in La Jolla. Highly recommend. The bagels are hot and fresh. You can pick 3 flavors plus a tub of cream cheese for $15. Federico was so nice and helpful. He guided us newbies perfectly. Loved the everything bagel and the plain bagel with the chive cream cheese. Cannot wait to return! *Note that they don't toast bagels but come fresh and hot and ready to dip!

Had to stop by PopUp Bagels and it did not disappoint Bagels were SO fresh and delicious -- we ordered 6 and they surprised us with an extra one! Customer service was super friendly, and the scallion cream cheese was the perfect add-on! Definitely stopping here again next time I'm in CA. Perfect grab-and-go before heading to the beach to watch the seals!

Frankly, I've struggled to find any bagels in San Diego that can compare to the NYC/NJ bagels I came up with... I'm definitely a little snooty about my bagels, but anyway, I digress. This is a standard bagel bakery... nothing stands out about it. A couple of students were in front of me in line, but they kindly let me go ahead. I guess elderly privilege is a thing... :) I was craving a bagel sandwich... just and egg, cheese and tomato... but when I saw that bagel sandwiches are $10, I cringed. That just seemed outrageous to me. So I just ordered 9 plain bagels, 1 Asiago bagel pour moi, and a small container of plain cream cheese. The lady at the counter gruffly goes, "Is that it?" And I said yes. Then I paid... $34.94! And I stupidly added a 20% tip. So the total came to about $4 per bagel which in my estimation is quite high for what I received. Anyway, the service was fast, and I had my bagels in hand in less than 5 minutes. My asiago bagel was cold, but it was soft and the flavor was tasty along with some of the plain cream cheese. The kids enjoyed their plain bagels, and overall, this was basically just a satisfactory, no frills experience. Would I come back here? Perhaps... but with other bagel places popping up in the area, I feel like Busy Bee may need to change up their MO if they want to continue enticing customers into their establishment.

I had been at the seaport Village location before which was also excellent. I got the bagel of the month which was the Ube bagel and I got it with the Ube cream cheese and oh my goodness it was so fun. It was a nice purple color so it just made eating it that much more delightful. The staff was also amazing. So polite. I also got the iced chai latte which was absolutely delicious. Thinking about it I'm craving one right now hahaha They do have seating inside but it is limited. There is street parking. If you park on Garnet or on Cass right in front of the establishment it is pay parking. But you can literally Drive one block away and it is free to park in the residential area. Since it is only a few blocks from the beach I can imagine at certain times parking would be trickier than others. But do yourself a favor and come here for a bagel and a drink.
