We went here for lunch. They have nice specials which are priced reasonably and they include a mini Pazooki. I thought that was great and really enjoyed what I ordered. This location also has a few nice outdoor patios which would be nice for a get together with a group.

BJ'S RESTAURANT & BREWHOUSE @ LA JOLLA Parking is available right out front, and it's usually super easy since the restaurant is located in a small plaza. We came on a Thursday night, and there were hardly any people, so we had no trouble finding parking or getting seated. However, we came back on a Tuesday, and it was a completely different experience. The parking lot was packed, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. If you're visiting on another weekday, though, you likely won't have much of a wait. The main reason my boyfriend and I came was for their $13 Pizookie Meal Deal, which is such an amazing value. It includes an entrée of your choice and a mini Pizookie, making it perfect if you're craving both dinner and dessert. I ordered the Double Smash Burger with fries and upgraded my dessert to the S'mores Pizookie. Oh my gosh, the S'mores Pizookie was one of the best desserts I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection, perfectly gooey, sweet, and absolutely delicious. I loved it so much that I came back again just for it. It's honestly something I've been dreaming about ever since. The Double Smash Burger was also really good, with fresh, crispy fries on the side. My boyfriend ordered the chicken sandwich, and I actually thought it was even juicier and more flavorful than my burger. That being said, I still really enjoyed my meal and would happily order it again. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with plenty of indoor seating, and they also offer outdoor seating if you prefer eating outside. Overall, this is a great spot for a casual meal, especially if you want to take advantage of the Pizookie deal. I'll definitely be back!

Will come back to. Needed to check in before leaving then I will finish the review so far so good. The hostess was friendly and helpful. The waiter came to the table fairly quickly to take our orders.

06.14.2026 Sunday Went here to celebrate my daughter's post college graduation ceremony. Party of 20+. We made reservations a month in advance for 430-5pm time frame. BJ's kept my reservation. As we arrived we were greeted by the host and immediately sat us down. My party ordered drinks and appetizers. All were being delivered as other people were arriving and ordering. I was happy about our waiter/waitress taking the initiative to handle orders. I wish I knew their names, they were doing a fantastic job! Appetizers, main entrees, pizza, and beverages were all arriving promptly. The quality of food was fantastic. All was delicious. The ambiance was great. We sat at the outdoor patio area. It was a hot day, by 5pm we were feeling the ocean breeze. It was not packed as I expected which came to a big surprise. That made the vibe even better. Clean restrooms is a plus. Plenty of parking, but all is pending on the day of time. We happen to get lucky with available parking. Since it is close to UCSD, this is definitely a spot to host any event. Staff is friendly and professional! Kudos to them. Delicious food and awesome service, exceeded my expectations. I will definitely will be back if I am in the area. Great experience. Thank you!

Stopped for a quick or what we thought was going to be lunch. We were greeted right away but the food took such a long time to come out. We asked for some ketchup which never arrived until we were almost done with our meal. They had one server for a lunch rush and the restaurant was not full so I'm not sure if it was a delay in service or the kitchen. We were never asked if we wanted another soup or salad for the lunch meal we had. Other customers were getting irritated and were asking to close out their bill and cancel their dessert orders. Highly disappointed on the amount of time it took to enjoy a simple lunch.

Casual night at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse and it did NOT disappoint Deep dish pizza loaded, drinks flowing, but the real star? the Pizookie Warm, gooey, crispy edges + cold ice cream = instant happiness Perfect spot for happy hour, chill vibes, and big portions with friends Would you try this? https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8gMDr5e/

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse served up a bountiful bowl of clam chowder, tender flavorful medium-well ribeye, and an eye catching pizookie Dubai style. Staff were helpful throughout our large group (seven people) dining experience.

We came here for an office lunch with a fairly large group of about 10 people and were seated on the outdoor patio. Unfortunately, the service was pretty slow from the start. It took quite a while for someone to come take our orders, and we waited even longer just to get water for the table. As a vegetarian, I found the menu pretty limited when it came to main dishes. I ended up ordering the Protein Bowl without any meat. Nothing on the plate was warm, and several of the ingredients, especially the corn and beans, tasted like they came straight from a can. For a dish that cost around $20, I expected a lot more. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend this place if you're vegetarian and looking for substantial meal options.

Korean Sweet & Spicy Chicken Sandwich

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and I recently got the opportunity to go with a group of people! I tried the lucky ducky cocktail and the Korean sweet & spicy chicken sandwich. The cocktail came in a fun, bathtub-shaped container, filled with a plastic duck and decorative ice cubes that lit up. It tasted sweet with a hint of coconut after each sip, and I loved the display, but I felt that it was a bit pricey. The service was a little slow, but I enjoyed my Korean sweet & spicy chicken sandwich, served with a side of fries. The sandwich was messy - I needed so many napkins - but it was not overly sweet. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd definitely come back here again with a group.

I don't really go to BJ's for the food but I love their pizookies. This location gets very packed and parking can also be limited because it's in a busy plaza. This time I got the cookie butter, dubai chocolate, and strawberry shortcake pizookies. All of them were amazing, I couldn't pick a favorite. We had to wait about 15 minutes after ordering but they came out warm and goey. Pizookies are the perfect sweet treat!

BJ's is always open late and we came here just for that since we arrived in LaJolla late in the evening and was hungry. We also have this in the Bay Area and it's pretty slow service though. This place is a little faster service. Food is good. Good for groups or just to hang out at the bar to watch sports. We shared their BJ's personal pizza and new sampler platter. The sampler had bbq tri-tip sliders, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings and spinach queso dip. Everything was good but I really liked their pizza and chicken wings the best. Oh I chose the lemon pepper flavored wings with bone-in. We also had blue moon beer tap. Would have loved to have Pzookie dessert but I couldn't fit anymore food in me. LOL. Those are a must have! Inside the restaurant was decent and seemed new but so dark inside to see what I was reading on the menu or trying to eat my food. Servicer was good, friendly and she tried her best to accommodate us while waiting for our meals. Would come here again. [108R,2025]

Each fall I look forward to the arrival of BJ's pumpkin ale! Stopped by for a delicious early dinner. Service is impeccable, ambiance is relaxing and comfortable. Plus they have numerous flat screen tv's playing various sports. So if you're into watching sports this is a good place to go.

Although this was not our first time eating here, they must have changed the business model, as the last time we went was almost a decade ago. Their menu has changed significantly, and although they were excellent before, I think they are even better. We tried pretty much all of the proteins, from the steak, chicken, pork rib, ribs, and they were all excellent very fresh ingredients. The meats were so perfectly cooked and tender they basically fell apart easier than Thanos's army at the end of Endgame lol. We especially love the side dishes. The broccolini was excellent with the sesame sauce. We loved the brussels sprouts as well. And I really loved the beef and mushroom soup. It had such a comforting and rich flavor that it felt like Scarlet Witch used some chaos magic in the kitchen to get it exactly right. French fries were pretty good, and pretty standard. That was the only dish that was average, but everything else was excellent. Good service and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We even brought our pups! The patio was so spacious and chill it basically felt like relaxing at the Avengers compound after a mission. Parking is super easy. It was such a breeze we didn't even need to use Pym particles to shrink our car to fit into a spot. Five out of five stars

Our favorites were the duck pasta and tomato and burrata appetizer, but everything was delicious. Highly recommend sharing everything family style - you'll want to try as much as possible! In addition to the great food, everyone here was amazing. For one, our server accidentally put in an appetizer that we didn't order, and instead of taking it away, they gave it to us as a complimentary treat. They also explained everything well, packed things up for us as we went so that we had room for new dishes, and gave a full sized cheesecake slice as the complimentary birthday dessert. The hostess was a short young woman with straight dark hair. She gave us a cold, unfriendly, almost hostile look and quietly mumbled, "Please wait." There was no smile, no warmth, no "Hi" or "Welcome" -- just a very dismissive attitude. We waited for a bit and then watched her chatting casually and comfortably with other guests. It was hard not to notice the difference in how we were treated, and honestly, it just felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. This is La Jolla, and for a restaurant at this level, we expected a basic level of hospitality and professionalism. Instead, the whole vibe was off from the moment we walked in. So we decided not to stay and simply left. First impressions matter, and unfortunately ours was a very bad one. Hopefully management takes a look at the front-of-house experience, because people absolutely notice these things. Wishing Catania the best.
