Total disappointment. Sat down and waitress advised there are no menus to look at unless your a smart phone user. You order through the app for Pop Stroke. Came for the fish and chips and was told they are served only on Friday. Why then doesn't the menu say that? The food portions were very small. I ordered the Smash Burger and it was no bigger then the size of a whopper junior. The Reuben wraps were very greasy and had no taste. Extremely disappointed and avoid at all cost. What is an older elderly couple suppose to do if they are not smart phone users. This was a whole new thing for the family. Me, my wife and adult daughter. Our friends had recently been here and recommended it. So, thought we'd give it a try. It's basically like TopGolf, but putting only, rather than whacking the balls out through a driving range. Nice concept, but they definitely have a few bugs to iron out. Once you pick your putter, you go out to a point where the two courses start. The Black course, (the easier one) and the Red Course. There were two young ladies there, to direct you to either point. At the start of each course was a practice green. The three of us all thought the same thing, Too crowded and not good direction from hole to hole. There were folks that just walked in front of us from a hole on the Red course to the "tee" for our next Hole on the Black course. We politely redirected them to their course. A few other things that could be improved: At the start of each hole is a post with the hole number and a tray with cup holders, Ince they do serve drinks on the course. Suggest that you put MORE of these posts at the area of the actual Hole. The two groups in front of us, as well as the TWO families (four adults and 3 little kids) would put their drinks in the cup holders, put their ball, walk to the hole, finish playing, then have to walk BACK to the tee to retrieve their drink. A lot of extra time and walking could be eliminated if the cup holders were at the stat AND finish of each hole. Also, TRASH cans! There were several of these holders full of empty bottles and cups. If not trash cans, then someone to walk the area, picking up empties. Also, there were coolers every few holes. Someone told us that Ice and cold towels were in these coolers. We did see about 10 of these towels just lying around on benches and the ground. Again, someone could walk the area, picking up empties and the used towels. Oh, and take a cue from Top Golf. Make reservations and appointments. One: we started behind a group of guys that we're pretty sure had never played miniature golf, or used a putter before. When new got to a hole near the outside bar, the two families that were there had taken a drink break and jumped back in before us. So, now we have 4 adults and 3 little kids in front of us. Things are backing up REAL fast. If reservations and scheduled times were set up, pace of play could be better controlled. AND!! You could also encourage more folks to eat there!! Novel concept, huh!? So, anyway, the putting was fun. Albeit bit slow. The empties and used towels were a bit of a disappointment. But, we understand, it was recently opened and maybe they were working things out. Would we go back? Maybe, maybe even try eating there. But, I would really think they'd be better served with scheduled time slots. Just an idea. Seems to work well for Top Golf. so, what the hey! Right? read more

The ambiance of this place is great, beautiful putt putt course and lots of bar / restaurant seating and tons of TVs. They even have a child's playground so they can scream on the other side of the restaurant where they can't be heard. Wish their putt putt course didn't face west. Popstroke was a fantastic experience for my 18 year old son and I, who were seeking a fun "father and son" day out. This is a great entertainment for anyone that likes mini golf, and is suitable for all ages. It's a bit pricey if you are going for mini golf only - so go there with a different goal in mind. This is the kind of place that you pay to enter and can use all of their facilities for the entire day, whether it's an hour or a full day. On our visit, we played both the red and black courses. They were a ton of fun. Each hole is essentially a miniature version of a regular golf hole. Throughout the course they have access to drinks and ice towels to cool off. We didn't get to try the food, but it looked very clean and gave off a real fun vibe. I really like this experience and will make it a destination anytime I have visitors in town. read more

Driving down to miami , me and my boyfriend made a stop a pop stroke ! Loved this place and all the little details . Service is amazing here from letting you pick the color of your golf ball to the the drinks and food . It was a very hot day but you can stay cool with cold towels at stations around the course and mobile orders being brought to you as you play. The course is beautiful and has multiple bars for fast service . To drink I had Long Island teas and they had been so refreshing. After playing both courses we had on the go milk shakes . This is such a fun place! Us girls watched the miniature gulf game commence from the comfort of the outdoor bar. We ordered food using the mobile app, which was fairly easy to use. The food came quickly and was all very good, and staff kept our drinks filled. We were so full from the meal we didn't even get to try the ice cream they have in the golfing area. My dad also thought it was great that there was a bar on the miniature gulf course and the option to have drinks delivered to the hole your playing on. read more

Extremely disappointed in my experience here. We were excited to try it and came specifically because we heard there was a playground adjacent to the restaurant where kids can play while you eat. Upon entering the place no one greeted us or directed us to the restaurant (like hello, are you here for golf, dinner, or ice cream? Have you ever been here before?). The host told us he "doesn't have anything near the playground" when we asked to sit there... darn! So we sat at the literal farthest table from the playground with our twin 3 year old boys. We repeatedly got up and trekked across the restaurant to take them to the playground and then back to the table to eat. The next two parties who walked in were our same size (with no kids) and were seated right by the playground. Two other families with kids were also seated right by the playground. And there were two empty 6 top tables in the area adjacent to the playground. Then we overheard servers discussing how many tables each server had got and I figured they used some kind of rotation system that cannot be broken even at the customers request and best interest because they will bicker among themselves. The only reason I can figure our request would be denied. We would've been happy to wait 5 minutes for another party to be seated so we could have a table near the playground. Anyway, after all that, our server was very nice. The food is basic, expensive, and not that great (think slightly below Applebee's or Chili's in taste and slightly above in price). We would be fine with that honestly just for a restaurant with a playground. Too bad the restaurant won't seat our kids near it. A friend and I tried this place out recently and we had a fun time. The place combines two putting courses with a restaurant and bar and so is a decent place to spend a whole evening at. I didn't try any of the food so cannot speak to that part. As for the putting green part, the courses are beautifully maintained, well lit at night, and the use of AstroTurf makes it's easier to play on. Even the bunkers which used a different color turf were fun. You can order drinks while on the course with a bar person bringing them right up to you - so good service. The downside of the place is that it is not well regulated- for example there were several large groups in front of us that were drinking and taking their time. The more they drank the longer they took, and sometimes it would take a wait of over 15 minutes to play. It would be a better idea to watch out for group size or to have some kind of booking system, or devising a way for smaller groups not to get stuck behind large groups. It was still a fun time though. Expect to pay premium prices for booze. read more

Had a sensational time at the new and upcoming restaurant/entertainment joint called Popstroke! It's a blast. Great for family's and bringing your pals out for a fun time as well! Jack the bartender was hysterical and really set the mood with his personality and wit. Drinks were great, and the food was fantastic (Mac and cheese egg rolls are a literal cheat code.) Golf was super fun. We did the easier course, as we had some people who weren't mini gold advocates with us and even they had a blast. Got pretty competitive down the stretch! I recently held my daughters birthday party at the SRQ location of PopStroke. The communication leading up to the party was good however on the day of the party we were given no instructions on what to do. An 18% gratuity is added to the bill but I had to hand out wrist bands, ask the front desk about getting gold clubs, cleaned up table before cake was brought out, etc. also food was brought out 20 min earlier than I asked so I had to go into the course to let kids know food was out. I think if there was a set point person from PopStroke things would have gone a lot better. spending hundreds of dollars plus a tip when we did a lot of the leg work ourselves was not worth it. read more

The golf experience is awesome but I've been here twice and had a horrific dining experience both times. The first time I waited 30 minutes for chips and dip and they were not busy. It took 45 minutes to get our entrees. The second time our server wasn't going to provide water until we asked. Then she didn't come back to take our order for 20 minutes. Meanwhile I watched another server who wandered aimlessly and the only thing he accomplished was refilling someone's water after 20 minutes. This could've been an all out 5 stars!!! Ill start with what went wrong- i had noticed they closed the establishment at 12am and it was now 10pm as we were finishing our food, and i asked the waitress (who was lovely) if they would allow us to finish our round if we were still out at 12. She replied that they wouldn't kick us out and allow us to finish our round. We had 3 holes left, but as soon as the clock stroke 12, we were shuffled off the course as was EVERYONE BEHIND US by a significantly rude male staff member. All of us, as well as the many groups behind us, payed good money to play and FINISH a round of golf. Had i known they would kick us out, I wouldn't have gone. However, other than that, all of the staff was lovely accommodating and informative, food was EXCELLENT, and the course (what we were aloud to play) was super fun and super worth it. I really look forward to returning, and hope they have either rid themselves of that wretched employee who berated everyone on the course, or all staff is on the same page, or have updated their rules and regulations and make them CLEAR to customers, who are paying for a FULL ROUND. Let alone i even asked if we would be aloud to finish! I am not an inconsiderate person, and like i said there were many groups behind us. Everyone was mad. If it weren't for the other staff being so friendly and wonderful, I would've left the establishment without one good thing to say, because the incident at the end unfortunately ruined my night and made me feel this is just another place trying to make a quick buck. Very cool addition to UTC in Sarasota. Tiger is on to something big. This is the 3rd PopStroke to open in Florida and there will be many more to come. It's a similar concept to TopGolf but instead of hitting golf balls into a range you are putting on two putting courses. Starting with the staff, they are super friendly and inviting. There are greeters at almost every entry way to help and show you the way. There is also more than just 2 putting courses. They offer ping pong tables, bean bag toss, foosball, a kids playground, a few bars (upstairs and down), restaurant seating, a full menu, ice cream, and tons of flat screen tv's. They also have on course drink servers as well. The greens are top notch. They roll true and I would say about a 10.5-11 on the stimpmeter. I was surprised how real it looked, felt and played. The drawbacks are that it will get busy and you may have to wait for slower golfers. Parking may also fill up pretty fast. It is also on the pricier side. I do think this is great the area and would go back! read more

Very fun except for zero shade. The turf radiates heat and is hot to the touch. We expected the red course to be harder than it was. Love the concept. Very few hiccups for a grand opening which was impressive. Be careful when touching the metal drink stands. They will shock you. A drink stand at the end of each hole would also be nice so you do t have to put it on the ground. Lots of shade and fans at the bar so it was comfortable. The service was very fast and engaging. I liked how you could order drinks on the green and they delivered them right to you! Now my kids are let's just say they are pretty "active" but this place gave them something to do the whole time. Great fun on a Saturday afternoon! While the course looked crowded, we were able to play without too much waiting. The ball rolls true and the Golfers on our team were very impressed. The drink stands are fantastic, and being able to order while on the course is genius. I would only hope that people would either discard their empty drinks in the many trash receptacles or for them to be bussed by staff. It's a beautiful installation, not much shade, if any. Plus they ask for a tip in advance. This was not a good idea huge mistake. No way do older folks understand how to do this. Now to be fair on napkin container it says to order now.
