    Sh*ts Bananas

Stopped in on Tuesday night while exploring Downtown for an amazing drink. The staff was quick to recommend their favorites and also without being asked gave us water cups (and kept them full!). I ordered the sh*ts bananas and my friend ordered the Chai Hard, both were amazing. I would definitely recommend for a quick drink or to hang out for while since their bar area and chairs are so comfortable!

We stopped by Cask & Ale on a Monday evening primarily for drinks, and it turned out to be a perfect, laid-back experience. There were only a few other people in the restaurant, which made for a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere--ideal for unwinding. The focus here is definitely on the spirits, and their happy hour is fantastic. At just $8 per cocktail, it offers exceptional value. We sampled two classics: the Margarita and the Old Fashioned. The quality of the drinks was ok. My Margarita was particularly strong--they certainly don't skimp on the alcohol here! If you appreciate a cocktail that packs a punch, you will be very satisfied. The Old Fashioned was equally well-made.

Cask & Ale was a total surprise during a recent trip to Sarasota with my partner. We had the best experience! The food was beyond good. The Sicilian rice ball was phenomenal! We also had the tacos, ceviche, Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, espresso martinis and a few other options. Their happy hour is the best anywhere! Full sized plates for $7 each! The staff is friendly and the bar is beautiful. I can't recommend this place enough if you're in the area or on Main Street!

Had a great time at Cask & Ale last week! We stopped for a pre dinner drink but when the rain started we decided to stay! Alejandro was our bartender (and he looks like he could be Matthew MCConaughey's son!) who made great drinks for us and explained about the lockers behind the bar. Really cool place and the food was good too!

Fun atmosphere, good service and food was good. We went for happy hour and will be back! We got the 1548 salad with chicken (regular shredded cheese instead of blue cheese) and 3 tacos (steak, brisket & shredded pork). Good and wanting to try different things!

We got to see two different sides of Cask & Ale. We got there when they opened, and Jacob was an amazing bartender. Conversational, super friendly, and made us want to go back. We got mimosas and loaded fries..yum! We then saw the nightlife for a Friday, and wow! A true bar vibe, great music and drinks!!

The food was good. Our waitress was an ass, because she knew my son and he wasn't drinking to begin with, but she had to be nosy and ID me just to see who he was with and how old I was . I just look good sweetie. Martini was good. I've been there a few times with friends and the place is always fun.

We came to visit here while we were in town for a wedding. It's one of the few bars that were packed. When we visited, it was early November and they had a great pumpkin martini that I really liked. They have your normal selection of beers and some specialty cocktails on the menu. The place got crowded fast both nights we visited and one night a fight broke out, but security was quick to resolve and get them out. The prices are pretty comparable to other bars and coming from the DC area, I would even say they were cheaper. While the space is big, I will say a lot of the table tops got taken fast so be prepared to stand if you're going there later. There are 2 single stall bathrooms in the back so the line does get long as well.

So loud. So obnoxious. A night that includes Cask & Ale is going to include a raging headache in the morning.

They have outside seating where you can have you dog, but just not inside the bar area.

We were impressed with her recommendations. She made us feel very welcome, which added to our fantastic meal. We enjoyed all of the appetizers - spanakopita, grilled octopus, spicy fries with feta, and dolmades. All were delicious, however, my favorites were the dolmades and grilled octopus. For dinner, we ordered the beet and feta salad and open face lamb and chicken pita. Absolutely delicious! To end our meal, we shared the carrot cake with pecans and cranberries. The combination was out of this world. Looking forward to dining here again. Thank you for the great meal and service.

There was a good amount of cheese curds and the gravy with the FF's were perfect. Truffle Burrata, also very good the black garlic is strong but it worked nicely with the dish. A large serving. My spouse loves mushrooms. I like them but it was still really good. Cubed yellow fin tuna: Also a very large portion and good flavour but it could have gone without the tomatos (and I love tomato's) And perhaps served with a rice cup or something to scoop it up. Everything is diced up so it makes it kind of messy to eat. We got a burger to split. we didn't order a side but the waiter I guess put them in anyhow. The FF without the poutine are just ok. The burger on the other hand was really good and cooked perfectly. We split everything and took home left overs, as it was a lot of food. We shared the butterscotch gelato and had coffee to go with it. The service is good, The athompshere is pleasant. We will definitely be back to try some of the other items. I'm not a greek fan so I wouldn't touch those but my husband will. :)

The menu - though not expansive - offered a fish, a steak, a chicken, a pasta, a burger, wagyu meatloaf, salads and several other options, appetizers, a full bar & wine. The four of us were very pleased with the food, service - and live music (guitar/singer was excellent). Overall experience, 4.8 stars out of 5. For that, we'd definitely return. However - the parking experience was a fiasco. Given this was our first visit, my husband circled the hotel/restaurant twice as the clogged pull-in area was full and there was no valet in sight. Also / no signage to direct us. Finally - my husband opted to pull into a reserved lot behind the hotel/restaurant and temporarily parked as I sought someone to direct us.... I walked past the valet "station" - nobody there (perhaps busy with other guests) and I headed to the restaurant to request assistance with parking. My husband followed shortly as he found the valet and asked if ok to leave the car - the male valet handed us a parking placard and said he'd take care of it, no problem. Ten minutes later a young lady valet approached our table - telling us she dug thru my glovebox to find us - asking if we realized she could have us towed. Beyond rude. We attempted to tell her the other valet had checked us in - but she continued down a shaming diatribe at our table - telling us how folks park back there illegally, etc. When we asked to speak to a manager, the young lady valet informed us that her company was a third party and she was not employed by the restaurant so our dissatisfaction with her rude & threatening behavior was nothing the hotel or restaurant manager could do anything about.... Eventually she walked away /her nasty attitude intact - and the male valet squared things so we could enjoy a lovely dinner. When exiting, no valet in sight again, we waited at the pull-in area where two other couples stood next to cars asking us where they were supposed to park or find the valet. Another couple were standing next to their car asking where the valets went, waiting for their keys to depart. Fiasco. Time for a better valet system! So Wink Wink gets a 5 but the valet is a big negative. We live here year round and there are too many options in Sarasota to deal with a valet threatening to tow us at our dining table.
