The manager/owner was unhelpful at that time when i asked for assistance. He was very curt and even had us move tables to accommodate a larger party that came after me. As I sat in my newly assigned seat and typed this review, a customer experienced a medical emergency on top of my table (that I was just asked to relocate to due to having a smaller table size) and I found myself in a situation working alongside the manager/owner, for which he later thanked me. Pros: Very cute shop with changing pop up theme. Currently Pokémon themed and I was excited to see it. The Pokémon menu isn't released until Friday so I was a little bummed but I got a Japanese strawberry milk which I enjoyed. Service was kind and courteous. They have free play arcade games which I really enjoyed! Cons: It's pretty small. I would not come here on a weekend or when it is super busy. Not sure it would be worth waiting in line. My nephew is a Harry Potter fan so I took he and my niece and although they loved the look of it and said they had fun which is what matters, I also have to say my issues. The place is way too crowded, not because it has to be but because they make it that way. They would tell people to order first and then find a seat and they were ignored. A huge party came in which clearly didn't check in ahead of time and then everyone started sending kids to save tables which you're not supposed to. Then there were 2 parties of 3 and only 2 tables to accommodate that size and so they checked someone in and had them wait right by our table until we left and she just kept telling her kids we were leaving soon. Stopped in with the kids to check out the ice-cream. They have lots of toppings and mix-ins for the ice cream, but like many specialty icecream shops the it can get a little pricy. Chocolate Brownie Popsicle: I was very excited to try out the popsicles, however I was a bit let down. The biggest issue was that the majority of the treat was made up of icy crystals that seemed flavorless and crunchy. It had large chunk of brownie in the center. The toppings was ok I went with white chocolate, coconut and a chocolate drizzle. The price for this was almost $4. It was an ok treat, but not something I would rush back to try again. Ice-Cream Cup: These cost a little under $7. You get lots of options for add ins and toppings. Both the ones my children got had cerial at the bottom so when the ice cream melts it makes a sweet milk and cerial treat at the bottom, if you do not mix it all togeather. I tried both the cup they had and will say that its much better than the popcicle. An Interesting note is that they hand extrude the icecream if you get flavored icecream. It looked like it took a bit of muscle and work to make it. There was no event or "pop up", taking place when I visited so our only option was the base menu. Super cute well known spot that I've never been to! Came here during a crazy storm so I es where quite a while and it was really nice inside with all the decorations. Totally forgot my Lactaid so I ended up trying a couple random juice based drinks which were all fine but I was so bummed I couldn't try the very creative looking ice creams! Overall the main appeal to us was how thematic they always are and the cool things they come up with as the menu items were average taste. Popfancy always has the cutest themes and they had Sailor Moon! My sister and I came and spent a few minutes looking and picking out from the goodies near the door. When we got to the register, the cashier was sitting down and just staring up at us. She was talking low even while the music was blasting, and when I showed that I couldn't hear her that well, she damn near yelled her response. The cashier did not have a welcoming demeanor and did not say anything even after I paid. A "thank you" or "have a nice day" would have been nice. So, it is a 0 for the customer service but the goodies they sell are always a 10/10, the food is always a 10/10 and the theme and set ups are always a 10/10! I walked on by and had to come in when I saw all the cool decor through the windows. The theme of this dessert bar changes every so often and this time the theme was Winter Wanderlust! I really loved all the decor. There were items on the menu that were Harry Potter themed as well as Harry Potter merch for sale too. I'm a Harry Potter fan so I was very excited! I ordered the Snow Queen's Kiss and it came out very quickly. This was a drink made with lychee soda, crystal boba, and lychee fruit with a snowflake shaped gummy included. The drink itself tasted very average and didn't really stand out, especially for the price point. The soda itself didn't really even have a lychee taste. The place is really good for the experience and the vibes but I'm not so sure about the menu items. I've attended many pop up events at the Popfancy Dessert Bar, and it has always been amazing! I first visited in September of 2022, for a Kpop themed event. The decorations were all cute! They had a lot of good items on their menu, but I chose a fruit slushie which was placed in a small bathtub. It was good! I visited the cafe again in early (Feb.) 2023, for their Ant-Man Quantumania event. I didn't order any food, but the atmosphere was great! Lastly, I visited the cafe in November, for their Studio Ghibli event. I ordered the Totoro themed Onigiri and Soot Sprite themed Chimney cake. Both were great, and came out fast! They made sure to get all of the food out even though they were very busy. I love this cafe! I love how they decorate their themes, and I adore the food they serve for each theme. It is a great place to go for fun and for something different. Each theme they have different food, large options, which all look great. The workers are also very nice every time. They get busy on weekends on when open on holidays, so I recommend going either on the weekday or non-busy hours. The experience is fun every single time I've gone! read more

They had my favorite theme ZOMBIES! It made this birthday better than any other! The staff was nice and welcoming and decorations made me feel like I was in a house on resident evil. I had the nachos and it was so delicious. I had a lot left over I took it home and add new chips. My I. V mango drink was tooooo sweet! I added it to my husbands drink in order for me to enjoy it. The birria noodles need more flavor. Had to add hot sauce to enjoy. Ice cream with the smoke was IG photo worthy and very delicious. I've been to this place for several different "events" they have. They totally transform the place each time. This time was a winter wanderlust combining a snowy frozen ice castle vibe with Harry Potter elements. Amazing decoration and lighting that feels like you've walked into a different world. Sweet tooth was incoming after our dinner so my friend suggested this place since it was nearby. Kind of late at night and hardly anyone in the store so checked it out. Wanted the ice cream swirl but (gasp) they could not serve it due to the machine. Bummer, so settled for the chocolate Oreo pop. Placed on a silver tray, it's decadent and filled with chocolate goodness with the Oreo crispy topping. Very satisfying although the chocolate can be a bit messy. Might need a utensil next time. Was there for the Super Mario and Twice themes they have. Twice one was just 2 drinks and then they give you a cup sleeve. We only ordered drinks. We got the Fancy, Woo, Candy Bong and the Superstar? The Superstar one it's extra charge if you want it in the star container they have. Out of the 3 drinks we got, the Fancy, woo one was the best. The fancy woo and candy bong ones were rather sugary tbh. Doesn't look as nice as the picture but it's ok! The rubber ducky is additional $1 charge, got it as a souvenir. The Superstar drink was kinda too sour for me especially after drinking the fancy woo. Least favorite was the candy bong. There's some type of flavoring that was too strong for me in that drink, I forgot what fruit flavor it was. Both the candy bong and fancy woo came with a small lollipop which I thought was really cute. Really cool theme and good for 1 time visit. Recommend you to get the ticket to skip the line, especially during the summer. If we haven't gotten the tickets, might have taken us 30 mins or so to get in. Tbh place was smaller than I thought. I was looking for a place to get desserts with a friend and stumbled across PopFancy on Yelp. The pictures of the various desserts that I saw looked very enticing so I was excited to give it a try. We got to the establishment and was greeted to some loud techno/dance type music and a few people in costumes. I noticed quickly that the restaurant had an anime/90's theme going on which goes from the decor, the employee's attire all the way down to the menu. The whole concept is actually pretty cool if you're into that type of thing. They even have arcade games that you can play for free and some board games/ toys that you could purchase. To my knowledge the themes at the restaurant are "pop-ups" so they change from time to time. Because I was caught off guard with the themes, the items that I originally saw on Yelp that I hoped to order were not available so I settled for the Big Kid Caprisun (pop rock flavor), my friend got the Kamehameha slurpy and we split the legend baby dragonball cake. We both enjoyed our drinks as they were both very sweet and also had the boba balls in them. The dragon ball "cake" was basically jello so nothing to rant and rave about there. So fun and trendy! I love their pop-ups. They've done Sailor Moon, K-pop, Pokèmon, Harry Potter and now Demon Slayer. I've been to their Sailor Moon and Demon Slayer events. They have themed menus, decor, games, music and merchandise. It's super awesome to enter another world when you walk through the door. Sailor Moon was their first and I gotta say, they've come a long way. Their organization and efficiency is top notch now. Going to the Demon Slayer pop-up, I was worried they'd be out of merch or treats and that the wait would be crazy long (as it was during Sailor Moon). I was in and out of there so fast, with a Tanjiro treat and figure in tow! Both the treat and the figure were fairly priced and super cute! They have a parking garage and a small lot in front of the store but it gets packed, so prepare to search! I have been lucky when I've gone but I've seen people park across the street during one of their busy days. Can't wait to see what else they have planned! The shoujo cafe was something I was looking forward to and in terms of the decoration at least I was not let down. Unfortunately, they were out of stock of almost all the merchandise. The window decor was my favorite part, it was so clever. I was in the mood for a sweet dessert and got one of the butter toasts with coconut ice cream. 03.19.2024 - Made it to PopFancy in Houston Texas - what a cute place - tried their Lychee Cherry Blossom Breath of Love - so refreshing and delicious. The drink brings you to a place to imagine walking under cherry blossoms in the spring time. The drink is so pretty and elegant. It was very refreshing and crisp. Walking into Popfancy was also an experience. The decor was all in Anime and I recall that week we went in was a Demon Slayer theme. I take it that they change themes on a regular basis. I recall on the phone that they get pretty packed on the weekends that you will need to reserve. It depends on the demand and popularity of the time. Their handcrafted sodas are very impressive. In all honesty, the shopping strip has other drinks to try like Boba next door. I didn't want to try boba drinks since I know I can get that anywhere. But handcrafted sodas is different. No end to the photo ops! We got there on Sunday around 2 pm, and there was some sort of event going on (apologies, i don't know the theme but guess anime). People in costumes and very very loud music, it was packed. My friend ordered this oreo ice cream thing from the menu that was about $10 all in. It came out with dry ice making cool swirling smoke around it- lovely! Cool effects! But I guess thats what you are paying for. The description said it was cookies and cream ice cream- it wasn't, it was vanilla ice cream and they had crushed up oreos on the top and on the bottom. The other thing was you carry out this big plastic cup that LOOKS like it's filled with delicious dessert-ness as it appears on the menu illustration...it's not. They put a smaller, domed cup filler in the cup. So all you're getting for $10 was at MOST two ice cream scoops and then they cover it with whipped cream and decoration to make it look like this big towering dessert. My friend dipped her spoon in there and hits the bottom plastic thing and we were like- wait what? It was really misleading for the price. Also, not a lot of seating at all. People had absolutely no where to sit because so many were jammed in there for the event. I went here during their arcade pop-up event. I was fairly disappointed in how the event was set up and the quality/price of the drinks and food. To get into the event, you had an option of paying a $3.30 fee for each person to have first priority during a specific time frame in entering the event but not guaranteed seating. I believe they shouldn't have done that because we still had to wait for a long time to enter the store. I'm not sure if they had a limit to how many people could register for priority entrance, but definitely way too many people to be entering a certain time frame. Me and my friend chose the earliest time and it still took us 30 minutes to enter the restaurant and 30 minutes to get 2 drinks. The interior of the store was really cute and arcade themed. However, it was nearly impossible to play the ~4 arcade games they had cause there were so many people and space was very tight. I got the strawberry milk and my friend got the melona soda. The melona soda was like 95% melona and 5% soda. The strawberry milk was pretty good. Two drinks cost $20. What a wonderful spot! I recommend if you have the opportunity to attend. Came for the one piece pop up. The pretzels were okay- honestly, they were basic overall. The ramen option smelled delicious at the table over. I ordered an immortality potion w/ a purple devil fruit souvenir cup and it's delicious. The merch is also adorable, on theme, and a valid price. After going, I would spend money on the drink and devil fruit cup again, maybe not on the pretzel overall. 4/5 to reflect slight dissatisfaction in the food quality, and bc the bathrooms are bare.
