I just used Pop A Lock to replace and rekey 3 door locks at my home. Rolan did the job. This is the reason I use Yelp all the time. Lots of reviews with a super star rating. Rolan was courteous, professional and got the job done efficiently. He called to tell me he was coming late, which displayed respect for my time, and I get it. I am in the field service business too. Pricing was fair and I would definitely recommend them to all. read more

I called back and he was nice enough to take down my brothers number and go back and get it done for my brother. Super nice guy! and the fact that he was willing to head back, in the middle of the afternoon traffic was awesome too. Cherreh service. read more

Insurance arranged Matt to help me w/my first flat tire. Once the job was arranged he called & arrived promptly. Very nice & helpful, I especially appreciate him putting up w/me as I was freaking out. Wanted to get him a drink to go, since it's a really hot day, but he politely declined. Wish insurance company arranged it faster, but it could have been my mind racing at warp speed. read more

My husband lost the only key we had for our car. We called around trying to find the best price quote. It is expensive in Hawaii to have a car key cut and programmed, when you don't have an original key to cut from. I ended up calling my insurance company and they sent out Pop-a-lock. Rolan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and he came out after dark to help us. The price was affordable as well. I just wanted to thank him for his help. If you need assistance with a car key or lock problem, I would highly recommend him and his company. read more

Thanks to Paul for getting me back in the road quickly and painlessly.

So I put my dog in my car, through in my briefcase which had my keys in there, closed my passenger door, went to open up my rear door and it locked all my doors. I called AAA to schedule roadside service, and I got a text message that they would be coming in an hour. I told them I had my dog stuck in the car and they said they would rush It. After a half hour went by, I called Pop-A-Lock, I told them about my situation and they rushed someone to my rescue in 10 minutes. Matt was very friendly, professional and understanding. He got it open right away! I definitely recommend their service if you're ever get locked out! read more

This company is completely professional, Zach called me immediately to schedule a service time for my VW bug. The VW's are a hard key to code but they got it done in under and hour for a very reasonable price. I've had this done before in Chicago and paid nearly twice as much. Look no further...fast, courteous, professional service with a great reputation. They even gave me a new key ring....nice touch. read more

Quick service and friendly technician definitely recommend their services to anyone needing this type of service.

Five stars all the way! We had locked ourselves out of a bedroom and didn't have the key. It was almost midnight when we gave Pop-A-Lock a call, they quickly phoned around and secured our locksmith and gave an estimated time of up to one hour. The locksmith arrived in 30 minutes and opened the door within minutes! Was very impressed. read more

Paul was efficient and quick! Thank you again! Will definitely recommend him! Visiting Hawaii and turned our day around.

The locks and levers on the front and back entry doors of my house needed work and replacement and POP A LOCK sent us Roland! Poor guy works from morning till late at night! Took us a couple of days to get together due to him covering for another worker being gone. Fortunately it wasn't a life and death situation and I could wait. Decided on a time that was good for us both and he was there at said time with goods in hand. Friendly and efficient! Once he got here, he did the job in about 30 minutes! All I did was send him pictures of the lever handles and he did the shopping before he came! Now that's service! Prices were very reasonable too! I definitely would use them again! read more

There was little bit of confusion at first but my 2010 4Runner Limited duplicate key was done on time and quickly so I thought. Price beat out the Servco Dealer who wanted an appointment and cost more to boot.. So those of you with electronic smart keys ... This is the place to go instead of the dealers right? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!... The duplicate key worked find but now the original didn't work. So they came out again... this time the tech said the other guy forgot to do something or failed to check something whatever... but now it should work fine... WELL... now it doesn't work again.. so I send a text message to have it fixed again. Well.. this guy now has an attitude about me always calling and complaining and saying that he is going to CHARGE me now!.. WOW what a bunch &%$(#^#*(%$& !!!!.......He starts raising his voice saying it's costing him money every time they come out... Well I thinks it should have been done right it the first place.. Still have not any resolution to the problem. AND would highly recommend that you get your keys duplicated at the dealer for less hassle, attitude, and problems... Thinking of going to some claims court for resolution if this is not corrected promptly for the time it's costing ME. I really don't have the time... more so the attitude of people in this company.... that treat me like I did something wrong.. All I want is for my duplicate key and my original key to work... So far it is not happening... Sorry but a total "FAIL". read more

Ed was awesome!!! Requested road side service for a flat tire through insurance company and they sent Pop A Lock. Ed was there to rescue us in less time than estimated. Paul (employee) has assisted me numerous times with opening my door (which I'm embarrassed to say has happened too many times to count). The ETA they give is generally out of their control since it's contingent on how many other clients they have, but when they do come, Paul has been very efficient in opening my door and replacing a tire within minutes. Makes an irritating situation go way easier! read more

I needed a new door knob and called many companies but landed on this one, first because they were willing to work with me on the price and second because they gave me the same key for both the dead bolt and the new door knob for my from door. Zack came to my apt the day after I called and installed the doorknob and came back three times because first it wasn't the right piece and then the door would not close all the way. He also gave me a open invitation to call any time and help me out if any new problem should come up. Great service! read more

Here's what went down: I parked my car near a pier 1 imports in Kailua. As I was getting my daughter out of the car, some douche came speeding into the spot next to me. In a frantic, I got my daughter out of the way and slightly closed my passenger door. I immediately noticed my passenger door wasn't fully closed and tried to open it. My thoughts were, "fml, it's locked." My entire bag and keys were in there. I had NO WALLET or NO PHONE. So I went into pier 1 to use their phone. Called my hubby to get some numbers to a locksmith. I got 3 prices from 3 different companies. I chose pop a lock bc it was $65 vs $85 from their competitors. I spoke with a rep on the phone. Explained the entire situation. She asked me if I could be reached at this number. I told her NO because it's a business line. I don't work for pier 1 and I'm just a person using their phone. I cannot be reached here. She understood and said ok, will you be paying by cash or card? I told her card. She said ok, 1 hour and they'll be there. Look for a truck with the pop a lock logo on it. One hour and 15 mins goes by. No pop a lock. I went into pier 1 to use their phone again. I spoke to the same woman from earlier. I asked her how much longer???? She said "oh we tried to get a hold of you at this number but had no luck". (No sh*t, this is a business number like I stated from the first conversation). She said there's a problem. We need a credit card number on file before we can send someone. Ummmmm why the F**K didn't she tell me this in the beginning before I hung up the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So how am I supposed to give them my card number when it's locked in my car????? She put me on hold and came back and said she spoke with her supervisor and yes, they need a card number. I hung up on them and called another company. They came down in 45 mins and unlocked my car in less than 5 mins. My lesson that I learned from this, there's a reason why companies are cheaper. You get what you pay for. In this case, I was getting inexperienced, lack of important information kind of customer service. My 4 year old was very happy to finally go home after 2 hours of waiting. read more

Not good,,they where called by my insurance company for roadside assistance,, scratched the spare cover on the ground, then put a spare on with 5 psi of air in it and said,, good to go! Got locked out of my apartment and called them based on their ratings. I thought they'd be located in town so they would get by sooner but they quoted me an hour and a little over a $100. What broke this deal with them was that the guy told me to give me my credit card information over the phone before he sent someone out. I told him I wasn't comfortable giving that info before someone even coming and if I could just charge it after the service was complete. Then there was just silence...I kept saying "hello? hello?" and then he hangs up. SOOOOO SKEEETCHYYY! I've gotten a locksmith before and they charged me right thena nd there after the service...Thank god I just waited for my friends to get me out. Who knows what could've happened if they got my info. read more

I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. After trying to call the competition (because they had better reviews) and not getting any response back, I called Pop-a-Lock. They answered right away and were able to set up an appointment that evening (on a weekend mind you). The employee was very helpful and informative. I mentioned that they were the second company that I called because of the bad review that I read about them. Needless to say, that employee does not work for them any more. read more
