My Bag was stolen with my car keys inside. I called Kama'aina Locksmith. 1st, They took 1/2 hr to arrive (ad stated 15 min), my Ford Edge has a push start button. I purchased two remotes @ $350.00 each. They got my car started with the NEW Remotes, but less then a month, on if the remotes weren't working, couldn't open the doors. The 2nd remoe was also having problems with unlocking the doors. I called their office to report this and got no help other than a Stupid story about a TV remote and to change the battery of two $350 car remotes purchased less than a month ago. I requested services about a month ago from here and will never go back. I do not recommend this place at all. I had locked myself out of my apartment and needed help getting in. The guy answered right away and said he was close by, and I could hear some people in the background of the call. He showed up I think within 5 mins and proceeded to try to open my door. He failed. He kept trying for about 5 mins with no luck and stated he would break the handle. I asked if there was any other options, and he said it's noisy, you don't want to disturb your neighbors. It was about 6pm? Then he broke my handle and charged me $120! I was outraged asking why he would charge me for not even fixing anything? He kept saying he came super fast, but that's because he was already right near my apartment. He did not fix anything, and should have not charged me. I called Kamaaina Locksmith because I had misplaced my only key to my Honda Accord. They arrived promptly however were evasive about what they were doing. They spoke to each other in Hebrew and kept going back and forth to their van. They pulled out my gas cap thinking that key would match my ignition key. They left after installing a different ignition and not even telling me. They left their mess behind and left me sitting in a Safeway parking lot at 10:30pm. My car was still sitting there at 8:00am this morning. It required another mechanic to come, remove my steering column, and now I've spent spend $340 for a new ignition switch! Not to mention the hourly rate for the mechanic OR MISSING WORK THE ENTIRE NEXT DAY! They refused my phone calls, took no responsibility and are completely inept. Stay away from them. read more

Called this company said they were able to remove key from ignition. Person who came was on the internet looking up on how to remove a stuck key. He tried WD40 with no luck. Ended up breaking the too half of the key while the bottom half of key was still in ignition. He was unsuccessful not being able to remove key. I needed my car (Mazda) rekeyed last August after my key was stolen. The gentleman that came to do it was nice enough but after he left I noticed my car had a key malfunction light on. I let him know and he said it would be an easy fix. It took a few attempts to schedule but he came in a day or two -- he was unable to get the light to go out. He said I needed a OEM key and that he would order. After about 1.5 weeks, he called and let me know the wrong key came in and he'd have to order again but would let me keep both keys for the inconvenience. After the key came in he called me to come fix it but as it was super last minute, I was unavailable. I called almost daily for another 2-3 weeks. I'd called him and he kept saying he'd come that evening or that he'd call me back but he never would. I eventually gave up. My malfunction light is still on 6 months later. read more

SCAMMER ALERT. Beware! Spent $1200 in lock changes that resulted in a professional locksmith REDO for under $300. When the RIGHT locksmith showed the next day, he showed us all the improper and incomplete work Nadav had done. Nadav took advantage of a vulnerable situation and ripped us off. Initially quoted us 1/4 of what was charged. Also! The kicker- Nadav says he is just the 'middle man' and doesnt know why his 'boss' charges the way he does. But all along he IS the owner. He did this talk (recorded and on camera) to get us to submit the ridiculous payment. Editing my review to add what Nadav added:: 1. I did ask for vehicle keys and you did NOT make 2 new fobs, you made 1. And made another key to open my door that doesnt even work half the time! You had to try and try again to make it work. 2. I only started yelling at you when you started to trip over your lies. I questioned the large bill and asked you time and time again why? Only in this review do you mention its a night charge (Sunday evening). I started off the conversation asking you for clarity and explanation. You refused to work with us and started the arguement. 3. I didnt talk about one house lock when I called to get the quote. I told you I have 3 to change. Where do you start my charging $225 per lock (service fee only) and come up with a $500 quote? I talked to another client of yours who ALSO got ripped off and you charged her different? And guess what- she got her fob back from the car being stolen and both fobs were identical! What you did to "change" and "reprogram" her fob did NOTHING! 3. The locksmith I rehired said he changed my lock with no tumbler inside. And another lock was installed upside down. And my locks were SMART locks so replacing the lock itself was never needed. He spent 45 min changing 3 house locks when Nadav spent 2 hrs doing 2 locks and did them WRONG. 4. Nadav recommended that I call a dealership to get a quote on a duplicate fob. He said it would cost me $800-$900. So I did, I called the next day, took his advise! BS! It costed me $200! You charged me more! Save your money. Learn from my mistake! read more
