I am so grateful for Kama'aina Locksmith! When I was trying to leave from work in my car, my key broke and the metal part got stuck in the ignition. I was able to remove it but I wasn't able to turn my car on which prompted me to call Kama'aina Locksmith. The operator connected me to one of the technicians named Benjamin. He came to my site in a timely manner and was very professional and friendly while trying to help me in my distressed state. He was able to make me a new key for my car and program it so that the key would start it. He communicated about his process very clearly and allowed me to watch the whole process. He completed the process and now I am able to start my car and open my trunk. I am very satisfied with the job especially when the black remote part of my original key was broken. Now, I have a brand new key with functioning buttons. Very thankful for Benjamin's swift and professional work. Thank you so much and I will be calling again if ever I have any more locksmith needs! read more

I have a 1999 Toyota Hiace imported from Japan, and I lost my only key. Two other locksmith companies turned me away, saying it wasn't possible because of the vehicle being from Japan. Benjamin didn't give up,he took on the challenge and successfully made me a new key. On top of that, his customer service was excellent throughout the entire process. Highly recommend Benjamin if you're in a tough situation like mine. read more

I got locked out of my apartment late at night and called Kamaainalocksmith. They answered immediately and gave me a clear price range upfront. The technician arrived in about 25 minutes, showed ID, and explained what he needed to do before starting. He unlocked the door quickly without damaging the lock. The final price matched the estimate, which I appreciated. Overall, fast, professional, and honest service--I'd definitely call them again read more

Needed help to get a new car key because I lost mine. And horizon locksmith helped me out fast no problems at all!

Great service! Not a bad price either for being 24hour service. Benjamin was super nice and I would 100% recommend this service.

Called this company because I locked my keys inside my vehicle. Receptionist said it's going to be $100 to open the car. Waited a bit, and technician came pretty quick 15-20mins. He takes no longer than 3 minutes and opens the car. My doors are little bent from the tools he used but that's whatever, it's an old car. But he said it's $160. I Asked for a receipt and he said sorry gotta go. Not happy with this company, and if they're gonna quote more just say so at the first call. Save the headache and go with a different professional locksmith. Their work vehicle didn't have a business or license number either. read more

i gave a 1 star review on google because it said they did house key and i called and he told me they do not so i wanted to inform others looking at his service that they do not do house key duplication. he proceeded to call me back to ask me why i would write a one star review if i did not even receive services and he told me that he was in a rush and his machine is actually broken which was not mentioned to me at first before i left that review but now i am more angry because he is spam calling me with three other numbers read more

Kama’aina Locksmith - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

David has been to my rescue multiple times over the last year. One time my car key fob stopped working and he came within the hour and fixed it. Another time I locked my keys in the car. He also came to my rescue within less than an hour. I highly recommend his services! Fast service and unbeatable pricing. Much much better than going to the dealer! read more

My Bag was stolen with my car keys inside. I called Kama'aina Locksmith. 1st, They took 1/2 hr to arrive (ad stated 15 min), my Ford Edge has a push start button. I purchased two remotes @ $350.00 each. They got my car started with the NEW Remotes, but less then a month, on if the remotes weren't working, couldn't open the doors. The 2nd remoe was also having problems with unlocking the doors. I called their office to report this and got no help other than a Stupid story about a TV remote and to change the battery of two $350 car remotes purchased less than a month ago. Point is, if you want to call this company to make a New Key Fob, be sure you carry around a spare battery for it, as their product won't last long read more

Kama’aina Locksmith - NOT WORTH $350.00, Maybe $35. - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

The lock on my iron gate was stripped and I needed a locksmith over the weekend. The first place I called said they might not be able to do same day and next available time was 3 days later. I ended up calling Kama'aina Locksmith around 2pm Saturday, I was able to get thru right away and was told a locksmith would get back to me shortly. I got a text right away confirming my address and giving me ETA, he was there within half hour or so, he diagnosed and was able to replace the lock on my gate within an hour. I thought the charge was very reasonable and took a lot of my stress away. Very professional! Excellent service!!! read more

I had a very specific problem, so hopefully this review can help someone who might have the same problem. I have a 2006 prius and the key was stolen from my workout bag when I was in the gym. I did not have a replacement key. I called these guys and Alex showed up. He seemed knowledgable about his profession, and he showed up where I left my car in a timely manner, which I appreciated. He was able to program me a new key while disabling the old key that was used for the car. If you run into the same problem, I highly recommend these guys! read more

I requested services about a month ago from here and will never go back. I do not recommend this place at all. I had locked myself out of my apartment and needed help getting in. The guy answered right away and said he was close by, and I could hear some people in the background of the call. He showed up I think within 5 mins and proceeded to try to open my door. He failed. He kept trying for about 5 mins with no luck and stated he would break the handle. I asked if there was any other options, and he said it's noisy, you don't want to disturb your neighbors. It was about 6pm? Then he broke my handle and charged me $120! I was outraged asking why he would charge me for not even fixing anything? He kept saying he came super fast, but that's because he was already right near my apartment. He did not fix anything, and should have not charged me. Now my door knob is broken and I have to pay even more to get it fixed. You're just a SCAMMER. read more

Thanks David for the quick response and service !!! Will definitely use again and recommend to friends!!

Service was good but the price was expensive. I'm not sure if that's normal because I've never used a locksmith before.

I called Kamaaina Locksmith because I had misplaced my only key to my Honda Accord. They arrived promptly however were evasive about what they were doing. They spoke to each other in Hebrew and kept going back and forth to their van. They pulled out my gas cap thinking that key would match my ignition key. They left after installing a different ignition and not even telling me. They left their mess behind and left me sitting in a Safeway parking lot at 10:30pm. My car was still sitting there at 8:00am this morning. It required another mechanic to come, remove my steering column, and now I've spent spend $340 for a new ignition switch! Not to mention the hourly rate for the mechanic OR MISSING WORK THE ENTIRE NEXT DAY! They refused my phone calls, took no responsibility and are completely inept. Stay away from them. read more

Never showed up. Business sounds suspicious. After not showing up. Offering unrealistic discounts.

Thank you David for the quick and efficient service. I had broken my key fob and within less than 30 minutes, David was able to make a new one for me, as well as make me a spare. I was going to be in town so I was able to drive to where they were located but they are able to meet you right where you are at. read more

I called fora locksmith since my wife had locked the keys inside of her relatives house we were staying in on the North Shore. The person who answered the phone said we would get a call, and we did a few minutes later. From the time I was called it was supposed to be an hour, but I had to call for an update 2X and it ended up being over 2 hours until he arrived. Basically the door was pried open and we could get in to retrieve the keys. Definitely not a $260.000 job plus the wait! read more

Told me he can drill it out but ignition will need to be replaced. He quotes he could do the job for $500-$600. Charged me $60 for an unsuccessful sloppy work. read more

SCAMMER ALERT. Beware! Spent $1200 in lock changes that resulted in a professional locksmith REDO for under $300. When the RIGHT locksmith showed the next day, he showed us all the improper and incomplete work Nadav had done. Nadav took advantage of a vulnerable situation and ripped us off. Initially quoted us 1/4 of what was charged. Also! The kicker- Nadav says he is just the 'middle man' and doesnt know why his 'boss' charges the way he does. But all along he IS the owner. He did this talk (recorded and on camera) to get us to submit the ridiculous payment. Editing my review to add what Nadav added:: 1. I did ask for vehicle keys and you did NOT make 2 new fobs, you made 1. And made another key to open my door that doesnt even work half the time! You had to try and try again to make it work. 2. I only started yelling at you when you started to trip over your lies. I questioned the large bill and asked you time and time again why? Only in this review do you mention its a night charge (Sunday evening). I started off the conversation asking you for clarity and explanation. You refused to work with us and started the arguement. 3. I didnt talk about one house lock when I called to get the quote. I told you I have 3 to change. Where do you start my charging $225 per lock (service fee only) and come up with a $500 quote? I talked to another client of yours who ALSO got ripped off and you charged her different? And guess what- she got her fob back from the car being stolen and both fobs were identical! What you did to "change" and "reprogram" her fob did NOTHING! 3. The locksmith I rehired said he changed my lock with no tumbler inside. And another lock was installed upside down. And my locks were SMART locks so replacing the lock itself was never needed. He spent 45 min changing 3 house locks when Nadav spent 2 hrs doing 2 locks and did them WRONG. 4. Nadav recommended that I call a dealership to get a quote on a duplicate fob. He said it would cost me $800-$900. So I did, I called the next day, took his advise! BS! It costed me $200! You charged me more! Save your money. Learn from my mistake! read more

I needed my car (Mazda) rekeyed last August after my key was stolen. The gentleman that came to do it was nice enough but after he left I noticed my car had a key malfunction light on. I let him know and he said it would be an easy fix. It took a few attempts to schedule but he came in a day or two -- he was unable to get the light to go out. He said I needed a OEM key and that he would order. After about 1.5 weeks, he called and let me know the wrong key came in and he'd have to order again but would let me keep both keys for the inconvenience. After the key came in he called me to come fix it but as it was super last minute, I was unavailable. I called almost daily for another 2-3 weeks. I'd called him and he kept saying he'd come that evening or that he'd call me back but he never would. I eventually gave up. My malfunction light is still on 6 months later. read more
