After checking several other locksmiths to make my duplicate key for my Kia Soul and finding out that most of them said I have a 5 day to 2 week wait for the fob to come in. I found Ultra Lock and they had my fob available, he also said they could meet up with me to do the work. Shaun who did the work is a great person who explained everything to me before starting the work. Work was completed quickly and the new fob worked great. Fob was even an OEM from Kia. Highly recommend him if you need a locksmith. Pricing is way better than a dealer and about equal to other locksmiths on yelp. read more

I had a great experience with Ultra Lock and Key! Sean was incredibly helpful from start to finish. He was originally scheduled to come out tomorrow to program a new key for my car since he was fully booked, but he went out of his way to call me when an opening came up and was able to come the same day instead. He was very nice, friendly, and professional, and his communication throughout the entire process was excellent. It's not often you come across someone who genuinely tries to accommodate you like that. I really appreciate his flexibility and great customer service. Highly recommend Sean and Ultra Lock and Key if you need locksmith services! Thank YOU Sean!!!! read more

I called around Honolulu for a mobile automotive locksmith to repair my 2001 Tacoma ignition cylinder and pretty much all the places in town either said they couldn't do it or proposed an extreme solution. I finally asked one of them to recommend someone who could do it and they said to call Ultra. The call to Shaun was positive from the first words. He immediately discussed the probable causes of the issue and gave me a solid estimate on the phone. He arrived right on time and got right to work, removed the cylinder (no drilling needed!), showed me the quirky tumbler design, replaced the worn pieces, tuned up the keys and cut a new one, finished the job flawlessly in less than an hour. And his bill was $100 less than his estimate! and we talked story while he did the job and his cool background and training experience was really enjoyable to hear about. Shaun is the best. Five stars all the way! read more

I was referred to Shawn by another contractor who installed a stereo for me about 2 months ago. I never got his company name until now. He's mobile and took about 15 minutes to cut me a new key for an 07 Honda van and also programmed a new key fob! Awesome service quick and painless Many Mahalos read more

*I don't know how I posted as an unknown account, but I'm reposting my review from my actual account so the world can know how amazing Ultra Lock and key is* Ultra Lock & Key was absolutely outstanding. Shaun was professional, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable from start to finish. He showed up on time, communicated clearly, and got the job done quickly without cutting corners. I lost my car key fob on New Year's Eve and thought I'd be fine since I had a spare and a physical key, turns out the spare fob wasn't synced and the physical key didn't work either. I found Shaun through his Google/Yelp reviews and gave him a call. He was able to meet me that same night, kept me updated by text, and arrived right on time. Shaun opened my car, re-synced my key fob in minutes, and had me back on the road fast. He also explained an issue with my lock cylinder and clearly walked me through my options without any pressure. After explaining the pros and cons, I decided to have him fix it on the spot. Watching him work was impressive, his service van was extremely organized and filled with professional tools. He diagnosed the problem quickly, explained it in simple terms, and fixed the lock so I can use my physical key again. If you're looking for a reliable locksmith, car key fob programming, or emergency lockout service, I highly recommend Shaun at Ultra Lock & Key. Honest, skilled, fair pricing and professional. I would absolutely use him again and recommend him to anyone. read more

Had duplicates done for two of our vehicles by Shaun. He's mobile so he came to our house, gave him the keys I needed duplicated, and he made the keys on site, and programmed the fobs as well. Tested the keys, da tings went work. All less than an hour. The guy at the dealership recommended him and it was a solidl lead. I texted him on Sunday. He called back on early Monday (Sunday he's off), told him what I needed, he gave me quote, and made an appointment for the next day. Don't quote me on it but I do believe he gave some kind of discount because I needed duplicate for more than one vehicle. All in all, good deals because it's waaaay less than what I would've paid going to the dealership. read more

UL&K!! Let me tell you about the braddah Shuan and how he is a true wizard. I gave him a call around 7 PM to secure his services. Shuan took my call while already on the road for another job and was willing to add me to his workload. I didn't want to do that to him since it was already late. He offered to come another day to help save me money on travel costs, which was a blessing cause I was already hesitant about reaching out since I was working with a tight budget. Shuan showed up and did his thing in under an hour. Super humble braddah. I got to talk story with him while he made a copy of my key and hear about his new shop. He gave me a solid price that i was happy to pay. Can't wait to see his shop open up! Shuan is my forever key guy! Mahalo, Shuan! read more

I have a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle. A while ago my key fob stopped working and I reached out to Volkswagen to see about getting a replacement. It was extremely expensive. Luckily I was referred to Shaun at Ultra Lock and Key. I met him to have him look at my fob and within about 30 minutes not only had he cut me a new key. He actually replaced the housing for my key fob which really was the problem and it cost a fraction of what it would have if I had gone to the dealership. Sean was very professional. He has a very clean working environment and I really enjoyed working with him. I would recommend anyone who needs keys cut for your vehicle or your motorcycle. Give Shaun a call, you won't be disappointed. read more

Met w/Shaun today to get a duplicate key for the key that fell into the campfire. Still worked but not being able to lock/unlock my car or open the trunk with the fob was a little frustrating. Shaun came to the rescue as he did the last time our other fob key broke (VW). He also met me close to home (Ewa). Thank you Shaun! Deserving of more than 5 stars!!! read more

In July my car had gotten stolen and recovered. I unfortunately didnt have the key or a spare. I called Shaun and he came out to the tow yard I not onky paid to bail out my car but take it from the yard to the street. He came in a timely manner and programmed my new key like nothing. I fortunately for him, not so fortunate for my pocket, will be needing his service soon as I completely lost my darn key he made for me. Today was definitely a DAY for me, but Shaun was so amazing!! My 4 year-old misplaced my only set of keys/fob for my 2020 Acura TLX. Spent hours searching high & low with no success of finding my keys. I've initially called Acura & was quoted almost $800 for a set of 2, still would have to wait 3-5 business days for the second key to come in & that was without the tow + programming fee. Called Salz Locksmith & was quoted $275, but still would have had to pay a hefty tow fee from Waianae to Waialae. Luckily, my aunty was looking out for me by referring me to Shaun & getting in contact with him to get a new key fob done for me by the end of the day. Mind you, I was in shock that it was able to be done despite not having a copy of my keys at all. Shaun did NOT disappoint! Very personable to talk to, and he was super quick! He called me when he got to Waianae and just dug into his work immediately. He literally did the whole process in less than 30 minutes. It's the exact same key I've received from the dealership when I had initially purchased it a year ago. He also mentioned if my keys do ever turn up again, to contact him & he would re-program them free of charge & only for $350. So from probably over a grand worth of spending I potentially could have done, I've saved hundreds of dollars thanks to Shaun! I've had previous automotive locksmith experiences, but Shaun definitely needs to be recognized for his amazing and swift service! I would also recommend his business and service to those who may possibly experience a similar situation or any situation which involves a new duplicate of an automotive key/fob! read more

ULTRA Lock And Key - New fob/key for my 2020 Acura TLX. Programmed & cut in less than 30 minutes! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

Purchased a Prius and the previous owner only had the fob and not the key blade. I ordered a new key fob housing, which included the blade, so I started calling locksmiths. The first few said they didn't do that kind of job and I started to think, "Oh great, I'm going to have to pay a few hundred to get a new key from the dealer.", but I got a hold of a locksmith that referred me to ULTRA lock and key! Spent only a few mins on the phone with Shaun and he made it all sound so simple. He just needed me to bring the car and the new key blade. He gave me the quote and I made sure to see him during the weekend. At the end of our call, he text me all the details on how to find him. When I arrived, he literally took about 10 mins. Pulled the lock off my car and cut the new blade. Now I have a complete key and can now lock the fob in the car and bring the blade with me for water activities! He had to cut the blade only a normal key first and used it to cut the fob blade, so he just gave me the extra since he had to do it to cut the fob blade. I wish I knew about him the 2 other times I needed keys. I spent so much before direct from dealer. Look no further if you need a car or motorcycle key made. Shaun is super cool and can get the job done quick. read more

Shaun was referred from ESP Lock & Key since I lost my keys, I needed a new programed key. Shaun responded promptly and provided a quote and the time he would be arriving. Within 10mins he was able to give me a new set of keys and tested them out to ensure they were safe and working. After he was done I had mentioned I had also lost my house key and my room key. I had already charged my card but he offered to make duplicate keys and he said he would just give it to me. I appreciate his efficiency, timeliness, and customer service/care. I would HIGHLY recommend him if you have keys with a chip in it. read more

I've had my BMW since 2005 and love it so much. But as it gets older, it needs extra love and care... which costs $$$. My car has a fob with a rechargeable battery, which means it's built-in and can not be changed by just popping it out. The dealer would charge $500+ per fob. Luckily, Ultra Lock & Key exists in this crazy world, and Shawn is a skilled technician. He drove his mobile workshop to my house and changed out the battery, and replaced the case in just a half hour... for TWO fobs ($200)! Now my sad 17 year old fob has a shiny new BMW logo, which I've dearly missed seeing these past few years! And, more importantly, my car is not constantly telling me my key battery is dying. read more

I'm so glad Shaun called me back. I called a bunch of key places, made an inquiry for quotes through yelp and no one else wanted to fuss with a MINI key. I didnt leave a message with Shaun when there was no answer, idk why. He called back later that evening and I told him the sitch. We arranged for him to travel to me 2 days later. He called an hr before our scheduled time to confirm and was there on the dot. Hes very friendly and easy going. I felt so bad having him work out in the sun, but had my car cleaned and didnt need bird poop on it lol, so no room to work in the garage unfortunately. He was cool about it and pushed through in the heat, such a trooper! I really hoped for it to be an easy job, but of course it wasn't! He ended up having to remove a bunch of pieces inside and do it manually. Now I know why no one else wanted to take on my project! When I bought this project car, first thing I did was call the dealership to price the fob. Shaun's price is well worth it and a deal at that! The work he put in and quality is amazing. I appreciated while he worked we could still have a good conversation. I didnt wanna ditch him to roast in the sun by himself... he's really a cool guy. I'm definitely recommending him to any and everyone I know. We have our fair share of vehicles to give him a bit more business in the future. But if you or anyone else you know is in need of an auto duplicate key or fob, give him a buzz. Hes very responsive and prompt! read more

My husband was referred to Shaun from Shaun's friend, Wahren Pascua, Owner of Tow Star Towing & Recovery. We actually called Wahren first for a lockout service. When Wahren came and couldn't unlock my husband's Celsior, Wahren called Shaun to help my husband. Shaun showed up and unlocked the Celsior super fast. To quote my husband, he says Shaun unlocked his car in 30 seconds! My husband was so impressed at how fast Shaun unlocked his car that he was practically blown away. My husband is not easily impressed either, but he was super impressed with Shaun's skills and immediately asked for a business card. My husband has had his share of having to unlock his cars, but this Celsior wouldn't budge even with a lockout kit. I believe Shaun quoted my husband $100 for this service. It was definitely worth it. Shaun, you definitely saved my husband because he was so close to bussing his window open LOL. If anyone ever needs the BEST locksmith, definitely call Shaun. You will not regret it! Thanks again for helping my husband! read more

I haven't yet used the keys I purchased, but Shaun was easy to work with and it was all very convenient. I had actually called Affordable Locksmith, and Shaun left a message on my phone, having had them refer him to me. While I was a little put off, since I wanted to go to a physical location for a place I had reviewed, Shaun's quote was perfect for my needs and he had a flexible schedule at a physical location. I was able to meet him at his office on a Sunday at my leisure. WE had talked earlier, so he knew exactly what I needed - to get the generic I bought on eBay cut, and a spare surf key cut. This has been a thorn in my side for FOUR years when I lost the tiny key that clicks into my fob! It was just $100 to give me peace of mind that I'd lost four years ago. Bear in mind that I had purchased a generic online, and that I did NOT require a reprogramming of my key, only a cutting. PSA Everyone!! You CAN get your car keys cut at a locksmith! You DON'T have to go to the dealership! All my friends told me this was going to cost me several hundred dollars, so I just never did it. And a few weekends ago, I decided I was going to take care of this thing that was bothering me for years. I didn't even have to leave my car and I'm really happy with the convenience of the service. read more

Shaun solved my key problems twice and he was recommended by Salz Lock and Key which is the best.
