I first checked out BBB (Better Business Bureau) to see if this company was on there. Not only are they on there, but they are A+ rated & have been in business for 26 years. I also checked out a few business reporting agencies for any negative reports on them 1st, nothing on them, GREAT! Then off to YELP, awesome ratings & satisfied customers! So glad to see they were well received by others!!! I then contacted the owner Song, he answered right away, said they were busy however stated we could make an appointment, I asked about any opening's for the next day...so excited! He had someone meet me the very next day, gave me a 1 hour window of time. He told me price + tax & how to pay for it at time of service. Other companies from what I've read charged more or charge less just to show up & then way more for work to be done, like way more. Not the case here. HONEST, QUICK, SIMPLE ,PLEASANT, AWESOME WORK & AFFORDABLE!!! He called me to let me know someone would be on their way. I greatly appreciate the awesome communication & he was so pleasant, positive, accommodating! Won is the gentleman that met me at a condo to get 2 locks rekeyed. He was so wonderful! Knowledgable on older door locks, was so efficient & awesome to work with what I had needed to get done! Gave me a few suggestions on cleaning & what to use & not use in the future. Professional, trustworthy & so nice to have a pleasant person to work with in a field that you have to be able to TRUST the individual & their work. I dropped off someone at their home late at night. She couldn't open her door so I drove into her driveway and asked if she needed help or me to drop her off at her son's place which she said was near by. She had one of locks where you punch the combination for her deadbolt and her key was in the lower door knob. The light went on and the green circle circled a few times and then it was dark. She thought the battery had died. I asked her to call her son. She left a message and she did. He called back as she explained her situation. He did not want to come to her place and she did not want me to drop her off. I suggested she call a locksmith. She called her son who texted her maybe 4 telephone numbers of I guess locksmiths to call herself. She lives in the Kahala area and the only locksmith to answer her call lives in Kaneohe. She called two of her locksmith friends and they were busy or did not want to come out at night. It was time for me to go to Yelp and do a search for locksmiths that work at night - emergency lockout. Jack Dalton Lock & Key answered quickly and said it would take 30 minutes for someone to get to Kahala area. He came close to the estimated time and we showed him the two doors that had locks. He tried the one with the combination lock and the key we inserted turned for him. We were too weak. He said the lock was stuck - gummed up. He sprayed WD-40 on the deadbolt and it moved. He gave a bit of a discount since he didn't have to pick any locks or do any drilling. He was very friendly and polite to the elderly mother. Too bad her own son decided he would not come with her spare keys to see if he could assist her with one or two of her doors so she could get into her house at night or even offer her to stay at his place overnight. When we moved into our condominium about 2 years ago, we've had several people try to insert their key into our locked front door even while we're home. No, these weren't burglars but, simply other residents who had gotten off on the wrong floor thinking they're at their unit. In fact, we've startled 2 people when we've shouted out to them from inside. Who knows how many times this has happened when we're out about town? Anyway, over the past few months we were noticing that our own house keys would either get stuck in our lock or we'd struggle to even insert the key. We started to worry that we'd get locked out of our own unit if we didn't get this issue corrected. So, today, we called Jack Dalton Lock & Key and was immediately given an appointment for an accredited locksmith to come over. The locksmith, Ben, arrived at our building on time and my husband met him in our lobby to escort him up to our unit. We described the problem with our lock to Ben and he immediately knew what the problem was. He removed the lock cylinder from the door and deftly manipulated its spring loaded pins. Within minutes, he tested our keys in the lock cylinder, which we were now able to insert without so much of a struggle, then replaced it back into the door. Easy-peasy and efficient! We're glad that Ben was able to fix our lock so quickly. We have worried that if we waited any longer, we might have gotten locked out of our unit and cause an emergent situation. Professional Lock & Key service at its best! I accidentally left my car keys in the car door before rushing off to my grandson's baseball game. Somehow a little menehune found them and they magically disappeared. My niece had Premium AAA membership and set up a home visit for key replacement. Bob arrived sooner than the 90 minute window and in a matter of minutes...Shazam! New Lexus keys were cut and were perfectly functional at 1st try!! Awesome work. Great professionalism. So here I am @ 3:45pm & didn't think you were coming already, not even a confirmation phone call, so I left cause I had to be somewhere to be. Then you call that you're on your way. I rush back so I can be there for you as if you're my customer, then come to find out you can't even program my key! Ok fine. But Then they have nerve to charge me $65.00 service charge?!
