Wow, excellent and quick service! I could not find my one set of house keys and did not want to leave my door unlocked overnight. I called at 8:30 pm and Song arrived at 9:15 pm, earlier than anticipated. He changed the two locks on my door and made two sets of new keys so very quickly! I was expecting a sky high price since it was a late evening emergency but the price was incredibly reasonable. Again, another wow! I was very impressed with Song's speed, professionalism and friendliness so much so that I will be scheduling changing the locks on another door in my home tomorrow. Thank you Song for rescuing this old lady and her dog and distress who can sleep safe and soundly tonight! read more

I dropped off someone at their home late at night. She couldn't open her door so I drove into her driveway and asked if she needed help or me to drop her off at her son's place which she said was near by. She had one of locks where you punch the combination for her deadbolt and her key was in the lower door knob. The light went on and the green circle circled a few times and then it was dark. She thought the battery had died. I asked her to call her son. She left a message and she did. He called back as she explained her situation. He did not want to come to her place and she did not want me to drop her off. I suggested she call a locksmith. She called her son who texted her maybe 4 telephone numbers of I guess locksmiths to call herself. She lives in the Kahala area and the only locksmith to answer her call lives in Kaneohe. She called two of her locksmith friends and they were busy or did not want to come out at night. It was time for me to go to Yelp and do a search for locksmiths that work at night - emergency lockout. Jack Dalton Lock & Key answered quickly and said it would take 30 minutes for someone to get to Kahala area. He came close to the estimated time and we showed him the two doors that had locks. He tried the one with the combination lock and the key we inserted turned for him. We were too weak. He said the lock was stuck - gummed up. He sprayed WD-40 on the deadbolt and it moved. He gave a bit of a discount since he didn't have to pick any locks or do any drilling. He was very friendly and polite to the elderly mother. Too bad her own son decided he would not come with her spare keys to see if he could assist her with one or two of her doors so she could get into her house at night or even offer her to stay at his place overnight. Jack Dalton and Yelp comes to the rescue. read more

I first checked out BBB (Better Business Bureau) to see if this company was on there. Not only are they on there, but they are A+ rated & have been in business for 26 years. I also checked out a few business reporting agencies for any negative reports on them 1st, nothing on them, GREAT! Then off to YELP, awesome ratings & satisfied customers! So glad to see they were well received by others!!! I then contacted the owner Song, he answered right away, said they were busy however stated we could make an appointment, I asked about any opening's for the next day...so excited! He had someone meet me the very next day, gave me a 1 hour window of time. He told me price + tax & how to pay for it at time of service. Other companies from what I've read charged more or charge less just to show up & then way more for work to be done, like way more. Not the case here. HONEST, QUICK, SIMPLE ,PLEASANT, AWESOME WORK & AFFORDABLE!!! He called me to let me know someone would be on their way. I greatly appreciate the awesome communication & he was so pleasant, positive, accommodating! Won is the gentleman that met me at a condo to get 2 locks rekeyed. He was so wonderful! Knowledgable on older door locks, was so efficient & awesome to work with what I had needed to get done! Gave me a few suggestions on cleaning & what to use & not use in the future. Professional, trustworthy & so nice to have a pleasant person to work with in a field that you have to be able to TRUST the individual & their work. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL & will definitely use their services again when needed!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SONG'S COMPANY & ESPECIALLY WON, HE DID SUCH GREAT WORK! It was like an Angel swooped in & saved the day!!! No stress, easy process WITHOUT the experience of being ripped off or worried about your safety & security moving forward!!! I hope someone else can benefit from my shared experience because I sure did from others leaving their comments, so Mahalo to SONG & WON!!! read more

Both of my 2008 FJ Cruiser keys died earlier this month... I got two new batteries and replaced them and still has zero ability to remotely lock and alarm my car, let alone unlock it while approaching my vehicle. I know, I know - 1st world problems. It is a luxury to not have to manually lock and unlock my car, but one I have grown used to and it also makes me feel safer. I asked my mechanic (O'Sung Auto Body and Paint, those guys are THE BOMB) for a recommendation and BOOM, they immediately referred me to Jack Dalton Lock & Key. I emailed the company through their website contact form and heard back within 24 hours. Was on a call with them that day and ordering a new key. Won arrived ON TIME today with a professional and kind attitude and awesome expertise, too! He had me up and running with a fully-functional remote key within the time frame quoted by the owner. VERY PLEASED with the 5-star service provided by this company - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

When we moved into our condominium about 2 years ago, we've had several people try to insert their key into our locked front door even while we're home. No, these weren't burglars but, simply other residents who had gotten off on the wrong floor thinking they're at their unit. In fact, we've startled 2 people when we've shouted out to them from inside. Who knows how many times this has happened when we're out about town? Anyway, over the past few months we were noticing that our own house keys would either get stuck in our lock or we'd struggle to even insert the key. We started to worry that we'd get locked out of our own unit if we didn't get this issue corrected. So, today, we called Jack Dalton Lock & Key and was immediately given an appointment for an accredited locksmith to come over. The locksmith, Ben, arrived at our building on time and my husband met him in our lobby to escort him up to our unit. We described the problem with our lock to Ben and he immediately knew what the problem was. He removed the lock cylinder from the door and deftly manipulated its spring loaded pins. Within minutes, he tested our keys in the lock cylinder, which we were now able to insert without so much of a struggle, then replaced it back into the door. Easy-peasy and efficient! We're glad that Ben was able to fix our lock so quickly. We have worried that if we waited any longer, we might have gotten locked out of our unit and cause an emergent situation. Highly recommend Jack Dalton Lock & Key for your residential or commercial locksmithing needs. read more

Jack Dalton Lock and Key Honolulu although he had his technician come out here in Kaneohe, it was a great choice among others who I called, as Bob was very good when duplicating a FOB for a 2007 Lexus IS 250. We were very satisfied with their expert work here across the Windward Mall and now I know whenever I have a problem with keys, or remotes, I don't need to be looking any further than, Jack Dalton's Lock and Key Honolulu, although they service all of Oahu's surrounding areas! Won (unsure if this is the correct spelling of his name) arrived at our home within the projected time window. Professional Lock & Key service at its best! I accidentally left my car keys in the car door before rushing off to my grandson's baseball game. Somehow a little menehune found them and they magically disappeared. My niece had Premium AAA membership and set up a home visit for key replacement. Bob arrived sooner than the 90 minute window and in a matter of minutes...Shazam! New Lexus keys were cut and were perfectly functional at 1st try!! Awesome work. Great professionalism. Even had stories to share of other satisfied customers!! The lady next door, Dena, my sister-in-law, was very rude to Bob upon arrival. Small mistake on GPS part, but no big deal. He kindly apologized for parking on her driveway, by mistake, smiled, and moved onto our driveway area. Haha! Aloha spirit can go a long way... but you have to have ALOHA first! And Bob certainly has that genuine aloha service! They also honor the AAA incentive that pays $150 towards the total lockout and rekeying service. My total was $ 320. Minus the $150 and voila...2 new Lexus cut keys for less than $200. Mahalo nui!! And Dalton...you've got a gem of an employee named BOB :) read more

First off I want to start by saying WTF! It wasn't disclosed prior to my service that I was going to get a service charge, I mean I get it.. dude came out & tried & it wasn't like I was going let him leave without anything, it's like getting a trophy but you didn't win. He didn't get the job done. I might be the only person who writes a bad review with y'all & I'm no Karen, & I'm super chill but I wasn't treated right & didn't even fix my issue. I called to get a service with you based on your ratings. Made an appt. You told me you'll be here between 12p-3pm so I waited & left my schedule open for you!!! So here I am @ 3:45pm & didn't think you were coming already, not even a confirmation phone call, so I left cause I had to be somewhere to be. Then you call that you're on your way. I rush back so I can be there for you as if you're my customer, then come to find out you can't even program my key! Ok fine. But Then they have nerve to charge me $65.00 service charge?! Tf I would never treat my customers that way or just ppl in general. Like I said I handed over dude some cash for coming out but his boss asked for more , for what?! You didn't do jack. Just bad service overall, y'all can praise these guys all you want but I wasn't treated with respect & I won't be using their services again, & definitely won't be referring them to anybody. Just Terrible, so disgusted. read more
