The price tag is well pretty on par with other pet sitting services in the area as I researched ahead of time. I've found that they go out of their way to answer emails or calls quickly, which is especially important with last minute trips. Their online booking is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate. It would be great if they got a phone app, but the web version is fine especially for a small business. Highly recommend if you are looking for petcare for your dog or cat. I selected Pets on the Hill, a small service, rather than larger services in the area because I wanted my dog to have consistency (i.e. a friendly relationship with 1-2 walkers). Initially this was the case and Kerith, his primary walker, provided text messages about his walks. Over time, I stopped receiving updates about his walks and there was no consistency in who was walking him. On my last walk request--which was scheduled through Kerith and delegated to another walker due to Kerith going on vacation--my dog was left and no one ever came to walk him. Kerith did not notify me of a schedule conflict at any time. When I came home and discovered that my dog had not been walked, I texted Kerith asking for my keys to be returned (so that I could use them to secure a new service) and she did not respond for more than 48 hours. When she did respond, she simply said that she was "sad" that my dog needed to go out and was not attended to rather than apologizing for his neglect or the complete lack of communication. Rather than returning my keys (a small consolation for a bad experience), she directed me to get them myself. If you are searching for professionalism and reliability this is not the service to use. Regardless of accommodations for personal travel or time off, there is no excuse for not communicating. Lack of concern for animals who have been entrusted in your care is also completely inexcusable for a company with animal care as its primary mission.

From the moment you meet Megan, you can tell she is deeply passionate about the care of animals. She cares about their wellbeing just as much as the owner! She's not just a service provider, she's a godsend to our family and new pup! From field trips, long walks, south block pup cups...Megan has given our new pug amazing socialization and enrichment. He is thriving as a new city family dog and we have Megan to thank for most of that, continually looking out for him, updating us with photos and videos of his fun-filled days, and her extraordinary effort to adjust him to all different types of dogs and people! Just a few of the reasons include: a) Easy booking through an online portal, which also allows you to create a detailed profile for your pet including info such as feeding schedules, medications, temperament, etc. b) Reasonable pricing. c) Excellent customer service and responsiveness to questions, schedule change requests, etc. d) Detailed updates after each cat-sit visit including photos. But the thing that really sets Wanderpups apart is the amazing care from their team of dedicated pet-sitters. Our cat is not the most cuddly or affectionate guy. He's wary of strangers. But we have been lucky enough to have a handful of repeat sitters, and each one has gone above and beyond to make friends and gain his trust. It has been amazing to see how much he has come out of his shell. Now, instead of hiding under the bed when they visit, he comes out to greet them, allows them to pet him, and gives them lots of headbutts (basically cat-speak for "I love you, you're my friend"). She always makes time to walk my dog, even for a last minute request. She is responsible and highly attentive, and checks in with me on a daily basis if I forget to ask for a walk. My dog can be anxious and sometimes destructive when I work long hours, but since Aaralyn started walking him daily he's relaxed and content when I get home. Her services are personalized, reliable, and affordable. Also, Aaralyn shows how much she cares for the dogs she walks by providing an outstanding and unmatched level of service. When my dog became very sick one day inside his kennel, she immediately cleaned him and his kennel, made him a clean dry bed, and then texted and emailed me to let me know what was going on. For the next three days, she went to check on him every two hours while I was at work, even if it was just to sit with him and comfort him. On top of that, one of her walkers took my dog to the vet and waited with me while he got checked out, then walked him back home so that I could go back to work. This walker even bought a bottle of water to bring with him to make sure that my sick dog would have something cool to drink on the walk to the vet and back. She did not charge a penny extra for any of this - only for the times he was walked. She's fantastic!
