I called and had another well known pool service company come out. They said pool had a leak and I needed a specialist. Well Jake came out as a second opinion and he was pretty sure from our phone conversation what the problem was and it wasn't a leak. He was right it was a defective back flow valve. He replaced it that same day. He also pointed out some problems with my filter. It had cracks in it due to age and sun exposure. He recommended replacing the old DE filter with a new filter one. No more DE, no more backwashing needed, quicker to clean and cost effective. I was sold and he came back the next day and replaced the old with the new! He is knowledgeable, took time to explain my system and answer my questions. He offered some suggestions which I appreciated. He wasn't a salesman but a friendly, helpful and very qualified pool specialist! He offers repairs or also has weekly service available. I was extremely happy. The cost for the consultation went into the repair which I thought was great. He gave the price upfront and there were no add-ons. If you have problems- this is the company to call!

Well, we had three pumbers come out and said the drain pipes needed to be replaced which meant new concrete. It wasn't until the rainy season came and our backyard flooded so high it would come into the house (I'm talking 5 inches of water flooding) that we realized we needed something done. I looked for the highest reviewed companies to come out and give estimates. We proceeded forward with So Cal Pools who was able to begin the job a week afterwards. They estimated 2 weeks for complete new concrete, pipes and redo of the pool. We also got a love seat added in pool, decorative tile on seats, removal of a raised concrete area, stamped concrete which is more pleasing to the eye, new LED lighting, conduit for electrical in case we want to add a manufactured jacuzzi in the corner later. NOW Brady owns everything (which is the best possible thing that could have happened for the company!) Brady is so honest, compassionate and constantly communicates during the process and even afterwards! Project manager Josef was excellent in bringing in his partners (designers, foreman, etc.) to ensure from the design to finish we were collaborating and satisfied with the end result. For the garage, we had it drywalled (no insulation), installation of a attic ladder (bought from Home Depot) to make use of a pre-built storage area, updated garage door and exterior lighting. Front yard included adding extra pavement to be able to park two cars on the driveway (we have the pre WW II one car driveway) but looks like a part of the front yard design, installation of artificial grass (YAY), redo of the front porch to include redoing the porch ceiling with a bare wood look, and installation of a pathway to the front steps. We had 3 home improvement projects in the last couple of years (including this project) and WTG Builders was the best in terms of responsiveness, communication, and setting expectations. Perhaps I'm more wiser too about projects but I appreciated Project Manager Josef's communication and updates and the various trade teams were fantastic. I also took into consideration their work in the local Long Beach/Lakewood area which I think is important. I would use them again and recommend them for similar projects!
