He explained everything clearly, communicated professionally, and even left the heater cleaner than when he arrived. On top of that, he provided a 1-year warranty on the repair. I engaged Adam's Pool Service for maintenance, appreciating their initial responsiveness and fair pricing. However, my overall experience was marred by several incidents. On the positive side, their prompt response to inquiries and transparent pricing structure were commendable. Yet, the service encountered pitfalls. The filters were scuffed during cleaning done on the asphalt on my street, and the salt cell was cleaned in a car wash bucket with muriatic acid and my pool water, questioning the efficiency of the process. A significant drawback was the tech's recommendation to use dry acid for a saltwater pool, contradicting industry best practices. This tech also felt the need to express his unsolicited view that pools are money pits and that he wouldn't personally have one. I found the comment peculiar coming from someone that is with a pool maintenance company, but the mishaps kept coming. The most alarming incident during the initial service was the tech attempting to place clean cartridges into an inadequately cleaned filter. I had to intervene, emphasizing a need for attention to detail and to throughly clean the entire interior of the filter. A couple weeks later, we discovered a leak at the filter plug due to improper seating before the pool equipment restart, further underscored concerns about service quality. To their credit, they did send a tech the next business day, but that wasn't a positive experience either. During the follow-up visit to fix the filter leak from the initial service, the second tech entered my backyard unannounced, neglecting to ring the doorbell, raising concerns about professionalism. Additionally we discovered he left my automatic actuator turned off at the end of the service affecting my water circulation, which, coupled with prior issues, pushed me to share this review. In conclusion, while Adam's Pool Service showed responsiveness and fair pricing, the various issues during both the initial service and the follow-up, combined with a series of poor experiences left me with a regrettable overall 1-star experience. I hope the company seriously considers this feedback and invests in more training and development for their technicians. One more note - Adam's follow up to my review not addressing any of the substance of my experience could be instructive for what you can expect. No accountability, no apologies, and no commitment to do and be better. I hired Adam to help fix the water balance in my pool. My prior pool co. was not communicating issues and I decided to swap. Adam committed that in 30 days the water would be spot on. At 60 days the levels had only gotten worse. At 90 days even worse. I tried to work it out several times, but couldn't get ahold of Adam (yes - I did miss a scheduled call) but the next two weeks passed w/o an appt or return call. I sent a final request for communication and 48 hrs later I decided to move on and try again. I do have a lot of plants, but that's no reason for this service to be unable to get the phosphates under 2000 in 90 days. Very disappointing as we had a plan, but it was not communicated to the techs and the filter was cleaned before the phosphate remover was added in sufficient quantity to drop the count. Also, my calcium count went from 300 to 500 in that 90 window. I did like the ability to text w/ the office and I liked the automated notice that the tech was en route. Had the arrangement worked out, I also liked the idea of paying for all chemicals once a year so I would not be nickeled and dimed over every adjustment. read more

I have been using Adam to service our pool for over a year now. The entire time (except for once when he let the pool get green....ouch!), the service was good. He came when he said he would and seemed to be doing a fine job. I would chat with him every once in awhile when I saw him out working on the pool. Then one day, he didn't come when he was supposed to. He said that he forgot to send me a text letting me know that he was out of town and that a different guy would be serving my pool. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem except that he sent this guy on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of summer. I communicated to him that when you've got 3 kids, this is not a good time to service the pool. He apologized and said it wouldn't happen again. To me this was the second strike but I was willing to give him another chance. About three weeks later, he just stopped coming. He said he knocked on the door and tried to talk to me one day but I didn't answer. (I got this information from our pool builder.) Apparently, after that day, he just stopped coming. Honestly, it's my fault for not noticing but I don't always see him when he's here. Finally, after 3 weeks, I noticed that he hadn't been here to clean the pool. I texted him. No response. I called him. No reply. I sent him an email detailing my concerns and asked for a reply. No reply. Come to find out, he had stopped serving our pool 5 weeks earlier and hadn't notified me or my husband. Needless to say, I found another pool service. I'm very disappointed in Adam's customer service skills. I would be cautious about hiring him. read more

Very disappointed with Adam's service this last 6-months - he serviced us for about 18-months. He used to be reliable and dependable with the weekly service then we noticed that he was not coming as scheduled by looking at the camera and the way the spa was looking. My husband would call and sometimes he would return the call, other times he would just show up. I don't know if maybe he's over whelmed now with so many customers. I will say that when he did service the pool & spa regularly he did well but we need someone that we can depend on. read more

Adam is GREAT! He has been very helpful with our new pool When he discovered a contractor issue that comprised the integrity of spa/pool he did everything to get a hold us to communicate the issue. He did the same thing when it was discovered that the contractor defrauded us by giving us a chlorine system instead of the salt system we paid for. He leaves Fridays open so if we have a special event we are using the pool for, he is available to provide an extra service that week. His communication has been exceptional. This is a follow-up and amendment to my review of 2/17/2021. Adam reached out to me immediately and apologized for the break-down in comunications. He came the next day and began working on the pool. Adam came himself to do the repairs and his employee came and cleaned the pool. The valve has been replaced, the pipe repaired and the pool cleaned and he did no charge us for this service. We are very happy with his response to the problem and will continue to use Adam's Pool Service.
