He quoted us a price and gave us a time period, can't through on both without question AND can't back later on to follow up on a question. I initially made a call to Sam to inquire about regularly scheduled pool maintenance and from our conversation, believed he had the experience and personal customer service I was looking for. This was also why I agreed to paying $130 a month. The day of the first weekly service in November, two young guys arrived and proceeded with the service. Jack was very respectful and appeared knowledgeable. No issues for first service. Second service was completed. Later in the afternoon of that same day, my brother in law came by to check on a separate pool equipment issue. While doing so, he discovers our pool filter contained a significant amount of leaves, and gunk inside. Third service, scheduled for November 27, was skipped without any notification. It was day after Thanksgiving...I understand holidays are difficult but for THAT high of a price, I expected a heads up at the very least. I called Sam to cancel services (upon paying for services completed) no answer but left a voicemail stating I no longer wanted service. I also emailed, no reply. Instead of a confirmation of cancellation, I received an invoice and even now, received another invoice from them, nearly a month after the last service. Jack came to provide a final service the first week of Dec, with no idea I attempted to discontinue services. I thought he was making up for the missed service. Upon completion, I made sure with Jack that his services were no longer needed. Overall, I expected a higher level of customer service from this business and especially during COVID times, was willing to pay more for it. I didn't receive what I expected and have since found a one-man business that has provided me with great personal service for $55 cheaper than Sam's. I would not give any stars if that was an option. I contacted Samuel due to a filter leak. I was quoted at $85 for this service which I agreed to. He had told me that if he needed to clean the filter he would need to charge $135. However, those were cleaned on 5/5 and he showed up 5/8. He didn't clean the grids instead he suggested that I get new ones since some of them were broken. He charged $55 plus tax for each filter( you can a whole set of 8 for $190 in Amazon) and charged an additional $135 for cleaning even though there was no need to clean since they were already cleaned 2 days before he was hired. Also, when I told him all of this information. He tried to send pictures of another person's grid to pretend he had performed the work. I would not recommend his service to anyone!! I've never had such a bad experience. Dishonest work and very unprofessional. To respond to his comment below: I requested a refund for the services he didn't perform. I looked at the cameras and what he claimed he did, cannot be visualized in the cameras! I will be more than happy to upload the videos! Contacted Speedy Sam for a new pool filter due to a crack caused by high pressure. After figuring out why the pressure was too high, Sam was able to fix the pressure issue and provided great service in the filter installation.
