After trial and error, Sam with patience was able to deduce my spa leak. Appreciate the time and effort, Sam!

I hired Sam again because of the good work he's done for me on several other occasions. This time, he arrived on time and did a tricky spa light fixture replacement. Good quality work at a fair price. read more

Samuel was excellent. Communication was great--he responded quickly and was able to get us on his schedule within 24 hours. He's very knowledgeable about pool equipment and chemistry and did a great job actually diagnosing the problem instead of just replacing parts. He tracked our breaker-tripping issue down to a water leak and corroded connection, fixed the connection, and even put our original GFCI breaker back in once he confirmed it was still good. He was thorough, honest, and only charged us for the service visit. Highly recommend Speedy Sam's Pool Service and would definitely use him again. read more

I was able to request service via Yelp for pool filter issues, and this company was very fast to reply. I peppered them with a ton of troubleshooting questions, and they provided detailed answers. They never seemed annoyed, and came across as very knowledgeable and trustworthy! $150 to come out as of June 2025 and that amount goes toward any additional services thereafter. Highly recommend! read more

Sam can't by to troubleshoot our hot tub. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a pump in need of a rebuild. He quoted us a price and gave us a time period, can't through on both without question AND can't back later on to follow up on a question. He's been great and we'll definitely reach out if we need more pool or hot tub services. read more

I had an experience that was uncommon these days but in an extremely positive way. When I called for an appointment my call was returned very quickly and a time was set, later in the day I received a text updating me on the appointment time. He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed my electrical issues with my jacuzzi J435 spa. I now have a reliable jacuzzi technician who I can trust who is reliable and trustworthy read more

Sam was amazing. Showed up when he said he would. Did a great job and I now have him in my speed dial.

My 20 year-old Hayward pool heater lost power. Sam discovered that part of each of the 2 circuit boards had burned. He also diagnosed that the transformer needed to be replaced. Not a cheap fix, but way less than a new heater. I know he's a busy guy, but Sam has always been quick to respond to my equipment issues and controller questions over the years. read more

Sam has been taken care of my spa for a couple of years now. His guys get the job done quietly and efficiently, like pool cleaning ninjas. I know I can use my spa at any time and it's always going to be clean. read more

Sam took care of us lickity split. He allowed me to research pricing before committing and I found out what he was offering was as fair as can be. He took care of the heater replacement without any issues and truly lived up to his name. read more

Sam has been my go-to guy for 5 years. Any time I have an issue I call him. Many times he has helped me troubleshoot without needing his help. When I had a leak, the other guy wanted to dig up the pipes but Sam said to start with the much less expensive resealing the light and jet fixtures. That did the trick. It was hundreds of dollars rather than the thousands the other guy would have charged. read more

I wish I could give e hom more than 5 stars. Great customer service fast and efficient

I had an issue with my pump and heat pump and Sam was able to troubleshoot all the issues and get me up and running. He was super knowledgeable on my system which is not very common system. He was friendly and very easy to work with. He was super patient and explained all the steps he was taking to fix the issues I would recommend to anyone in need of pool or spa services. read more

I reached out to a few companies to install a spa filter pump. Sam was the only one that would give me a fair quote over the phone whereas everyone else wanted to come out to quote me (and likely try to sell me on the spot at an inflated price). He was honest, knew what he was doing and did a great job. These are truly rare qualities nowadays. read more

Worked with my time restraints and Sam came the next day. Did a good job efficiently and quickly.

My pump had been running loud and needed to be repaired or replaced. I am glad that I found Sam from Yelp. He is very responsive, to both phone calls and messages. After hearing me out on the issue, he gave me a very reasonable quote to rebuild the pump. He patiently explained to me with the whole repair process and showed up at my door the next day - Speedy Sam. He came back again after 2 days to put back the rebuilt pump and the whole process was perfect. I would highly recommend Sam as he's knowledgeable, honest and keep to his words. read more

Sam reponsed quickly thru Yelp messages. Check out our pool pump that had leaks and high-pitch noise the same day. Not only did he manage to provide me with a fair price to repair the pump, but he also finished the project in 2 days. I initially made a call to Sam to inquire about regularly scheduled pool maintenance and from our conversation, believed he had the experience and personal customer service I was looking for. This was also why I agreed to paying $130 a month. The day of the first weekly service in November, two young guys arrived and proceeded with the service. Jack was very respectful and appeared knowledgeable. No issues for first service. Second service was completed. Later in the afternoon of that same day, my brother in law came by to check on a separate pool equipment issue. While doing so, he discovers our pool filter contained a significant amount of leaves, and gunk inside. Third service, scheduled for November 27, was skipped without any notification. It was day after Thanksgiving...I understand holidays are difficult but for THAT high of a price, I expected a heads up at the very least. I called Sam to cancel services (upon paying for services completed) no answer but left a voicemail stating I no longer wanted service. I also emailed, no reply. Instead of a confirmation of cancellation, I received an invoice and even now, received another invoice from them, nearly a month after the last service. Jack came to provide a final service the first week of Dec, with no idea I attempted to discontinue services. I thought he was making up for the missed service. Upon completion, I made sure with Jack that his services were no longer needed. Overall, I expected a higher level of customer service from this business and especially during COVID times, was willing to pay more for it. I didn't receive what I expected and have since found a one-man business that has provided me with great personal service for $55 cheaper than Sam's. Update: Email of cancellation provided. read more

We chose Sam for our project of retiling our jacuzzi after interviewing 6 pool contractors. The project was carried out as well as expected and the results were everything we had hoped for. Sam is honest and stands by his word. He is the owner operator and is knowledgeable and kind. He cleaned the remaining pool tile with the glass bead method and it looks wonderful despite its age of approximately 30+ years. We are very happy to have hired Sam and will continue to in the future for our pool needs. read more

I would not give any stars if that was an option. I contacted Samuel due to a filter leak. I was quoted at $85 for this service which I agreed to. He had told me that if he needed to clean the filter he would need to charge $135. However, those were cleaned on 5/5 and he showed up 5/8. He didn't clean the grids instead he suggested that I get new ones since some of them were broken. He charged $55 plus tax for each filter( you can a whole set of 8 for $190 in Amazon) and charged an additional $135 for cleaning even though there was no need to clean since they were already cleaned 2 days before he was hired. Also, when I told him all of this information. He tried to send pictures of another person's grid to pretend he had performed the work. I would not recommend his service to anyone!! I've never had such a bad experience. Dishonest work and very unprofessional. To respond to his comment below: I requested a refund for the services he didn't perform. I looked at the cameras and what he claimed he did, cannot be visualized in the cameras! I will be more than happy to upload the videos! I requested a refund but he tried to show me pictures of someone else's grid. I'll be happy to upload the complete conversations too. read more
