Just 6 months after the pool was done and we had been using it, the pool started to turn green. I sent messages to the owner and he said he would send someone out and it would look a little better for a week and then start turning green again. I continued to being up my concerns and he said he needed to clean the filter. He said he would be by the next day and nothing. I text messaged him to find out if he was coming and after 5 day he had still not responded. Also,would get emails on Tuesday saying the pool was serviced but I would come home and it looked like it had never been touched. He charged me for a couple of extra services that did not do much to help. My new tile has all kinds of build up even though the service said it was brushed every week. I went back and looked at the emails I was getting and noticed that week after week it shows the exact same PH and Chlorine numbers. How is that possible? I asked him Why and he never answered me. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after more than six months of trying to resolve this…read moresituation, I feel it's important to share my experience. Ed was recommended to me by another contractor whom I respect. Unfortunately, my experience with Ed was completely different, and I know the person who referred him has since apologized and is embarrassed by how this has turned out. I hired Ed to replace my spa heater, restore the spa shell, remove the rust stains, polish the metal handles, replace the pillows/headrests, and leave the spa in excellent working condition for my investment property, which I operate as a short-term rental. Instead, he convinced me to install a used heater, assuring me that it was "practically new" and would be an excellent unit. After the installation, the heater began releasing significant rust into the spa, staining the shell and leaving me questioning the condition of the equipment that was installed. The work was never completed. The promised restoration was never finished, the pillows/headrests were never replaced, the shell was never properly restored, and several other agreed-upon items were left undone. To make matters worse, the spa was left in worse condition than before. For the past six to seven months, I have repeatedly contacted Ed. Every time he tells me he will come "tomorrow" or "next week," but he never shows up. He has made the same promises to the contractor who referred him, yet nothing has changed. I paid over $3,000 expecting professional workmanship and reliable service. Instead, I have been left with an unfinished project, a spa that still requires repairs, and months of frustration trying to get him to honor his commitments. At this point, I have no choice but to pursue reimbursement through Small Claims Court because my attempts to resolve this matter directly have been unsuccessful. I hope my experience helps others make an informed decision.

Over the years, he brought different guys to help out. These guys came and went and some stayed for all of ten minutes. They'd sweep the net across the water for a few minutes, throw some chemicals in the water and leave. Now, present day, there would be at least one no-show each month. Our pool has algae growing in it. Our water is so off with chemicals that we're going to have to drain our pool. This is not the opinion of one other person, but three! If we could find a way to charge him for the water we're going to have to pay for, we would! It's too bad. Ed was good at one time. We don't know what happened to that level of service.

They walked me through all the different options and helped me land on exactly the right combination. The result looks great and feels great underfoot. I didn't feel like there were hidden costs, but note there may be extra costs for you after they demo the pool, if you are also re-plastering. Caesar and Eddie were very responsive to email and text with any questions and concerns and made sure to come themselves to double check any issues. The team overall cleaned up after themselves and left the job site in good shape. The company is full service and brings the pool "full circle" and provides service to fill the pool, check filters, services the pump, etc after the pool is re-plastered. Work style: I imagine like many companies of this type there are teams of craftsmen that come through at different stages. I was able to get a clear schedule for the demo and the plaster phase, but the pool "startup" was a bit more variable (this mattered to me because we have dogs that have access to the yard, so if this applies to you I think you have to be very clear about hours of availability in advance). It seemed that a foreman would come and check in the team periodically. My only complaint through the whole process was that during the plaster day the crew installed a leaking hose that sprayed all over at the spigot at my stucco house and foundation for several hours, when I finally saw it, I had to draw attention to the crew to fix the situation. Due to how long the process with water takes, if it was not caught by myself it likely would have done some damage to the stucco wall. This was my only real issue over the entire job. Overall, communication was great, the finished product is beautiful, and pricing was fair and transparent. The pool came out looking fantastic.
