I felt the people at Pool Parts went above and beyond to help me, they could have sold the part and said see you later. Love the private small business and the care provided. I also could have purchased everything through Amazon and saved about $60, but gotta applaud the personal touch provided by Pool Parts. read more

Hmmmmm. Sold me new salt-cell that needed additional parts to install. Another $200 and a few days with down system. A bit mom & pop and substitute staff working while the owner was out. Flakey or just bad timing.... Hard to say. This company is great when you want a rebuilt pool motor installed. When purchasing the rebuilt motors they provide a decent service and a one year warrant. Herein lies the problem. The problem with this place is getting someone to come out for a service call. It took me almost three weeks of calling and texting to get someone to come out. When they finally came out they removed the motor and eventually determined the problem was with my Timer and not the motor. Unfortunately, the technicians left my house without putting the motor back on. I tried numerous times to put the motor back on myself and it just would not go on. I called and texted PME for another three weeks asking for them to come back out and put the motor back on. I eventually got a friend to help me get the motor back on but not once did PME respond to me or send someone out. If my motor ever fails again I will definitely not be calling PME for help. read more

Terrible, quality of work was subpar. When I called to say the leak that was supposed to be fixed was not, I received "that wasn't anything to do with what we fixed,". Hello? It is what you were paid to fix. I had already contacted them when I returned home from vacation letting them know the pool pump was leaking g and had been for apparently 2 days. Called at 8 am. No return call, texted, no response. Called again and was told the guy hadn't come in yet! It's 11am. Really? I told Juan firmly to get someone out to fix it, " My pool is now green." He said,"Fu_k you. What a guy. They've changed their name about 4 times in 5 years and I noticed invoice is lacking company name, address and phone number. Stay away. This is the second time I've used Phoenix Pool Parts to get my pool pump back in operation. The first time I opted for a rebuilt 1.5hp that they installed in my old casing. It ran fine for about 18 months and the motor shorted out. My pool runs 365 days a year at 7-10 hours per day, depending on outside temperature. The second time I went back in, I opted for the rebuilt pump Hayward Northstar assembly, new o rings, shaft seal, impeller. I also opted to have a brand new 1.5hp motor installed in the pump. This motor has a one year warranty. The only rub was when I brought the pump home and hooked it up, which takes all of 10 minutes, I'm good at it. It leaked and the motor was a little noisy. I called Phoenix Pool Parts the next day. The day after that, they showed up with another rebuilt Hayward Northstar pump casing, but this one was marked "Platinum Flow". A brand new 1.5hp motor (which actually makes 1.95hp) was installed. I quickly hooked this pump up. And I was amazed. The motor was whisper quiet and this Hayward "Platinum Flow" series pump really moves a lot of water in and out of my pool. I was amazed at the difference. I would imagine this model has a more efficient impeller. One of the biggest killers of these pool pumps mounted is the direct sunlight, especially when it's 120 degrees outside. I have mounted an umbrella over this pump and all it's plumbing to keep it in constant shade and lower the heat it operates in. So update on Pool Motor Exchange. After initial installation on 1/2016 6 months later motor died. Called company spoke to Juan and the motor was under the 1 year warranty and was replaced. Sounds like a great review right! Well not so much. After the 2nd replacement, guess what 7 months later MOTOR DIED AGAIN!! I went personally and ask for Juan the owner and he was not there. Spoke with Gloria and explain to her the situation. She went on to say that it couldn't possibly be their MOTORS and most likely it was my electrical system. REALLY!! In less than a year and half 2 motors burned out. Don't use this company unless you want to spend $240 every year replacing your POOL MOTOR. Oh by the way I ask Gloria to have Juan call me, I'm still waiting for Juans call BACK. 2 months later. LOL!! read more

We bought a motor from them 18 months ago and it broke. So we contacted them to get it replaced since it was still under warranty. I had to call them 4 times to get a commitment on a date and time (kept promising to call me back when they looked at their schedule). They didn't show up on the day they committed to. I ended up just finding a different company because I just couldn't trust them. The guy I spoke to (Juan /owner) was extremely unprofessional and has absolutely no people skills. He yelled at us when we called the 4th time asking why he didn't show. Terrible customer service, and so was the quality of the motor apparently which didn't last long. I purchased two pool motors from PME last February. I decided to install them myself. They ran fine until last week when one of them quit working. I called Jaun and he said bring them in and he will replace them. This time around I decided to have them install them. I'm pretty handy, but it took me a lot more time to install than should have the first time. Carlos gave me a good deal on the install, and Johnny came out the next morning and installed both new pumps in under an hour. It took me almost all day the first time around. Last week we had some work done on our pool that required draining it. After refilling it Friday night, on Saturday morning I hit the switch to start the pump and the motor hummed for a few seconds and then tripped the breaker. I made sure the impeller was clear and spinning freely and tried the start the pump a couple more times, to no avail. Due to a positive recommendation from a friend - and because they were open on Saturday - I brought the pump to Phx Pool Parts, and for a VERY reasonable price they replaced the capacitor on the motor and tested the current draw. We purchased a re-built pool motor from Pool Motor Exchange last August 2017 and last week it stopped working. We called to make an appointment and was told someone would contact us. No one called, so we called again and spoke with Juan. They did not pick up the phone the previous 4 times we called. Juan said they had us on the schedule. No one shows up, so we went into the shop. Juan acted surprised that no one had come over to look at the pool motor. It's been over a week and we still have not received a call and they will not pick up the phone. We have called with 3 different cell phone numbers. This is a very dishonest company and I would NEVER recommend their services. We ended up taking the motor to Tom at B&L Pools in Phoenix. He fixed the pool pump for under $50.00. I recommend you go to B&L Pools. read more

I know this company as POOL MOTOR EXCHANGE! They are liars! My home warranty sent them to check why my pool isn't cleaning! I have a NEW PENTAIR 1.5 hp variable speed pump. The man that came out had NO CLUE what the problem was and told me that! I asked how long he was doing this job! We have more words and then he said he had to call his boss! Well he left without telling us. I called his boss and the boss said it was the pop ups! Not to worry that he would get them fixed and LIE to the home warranty to get them covered. I never heard from Juan, the owner! I get a call from my home warranty saying JUAN told them the pump was INFERIOR and would not work on my pool! I called Juan back and asked why he told me one thing and them another! He said he talked to his pool man that was here and that's what they came up with! I told him Pentair and 10 other pool companies said this is the perfect pump for my pool and he said he disagrees! So now I have NO COVERAGE on my pool because of this JERK!! I have to now either cancel my insurance and get someone else or get another pool man to fight with my company to prove JUAN wrong! DO NOT USE THEM.
