I was a 5+ year customer who just cancelled service. Their service was fine, but then the keypad on my pump stopped working. pool Ninja quoted me $400 for a new one and $125 for labor to replace it. I found the same exact keypad online for $280, showed it to them and they didn't offer to match the price and instead told me that the part was discontinued and that the part I found online wouldn't work with my pump. I ordered the keypad online anyway and installed it myself in about 10 minutes (4 screws and a cable connection). I saved myself over $200 - do some research before you buy parts from them. read more

The service I have received from Pool Ninja has been excellent. The pool is sparkling clear. Any time a problem has come up, they are on it right away. My old pool sweep broke near the rocks. The regular pool guy disconnected it from the rock waterfall area. Thank goodness he has good balance. I decided to upgrade to a better pool sweep. Tino came up with one that was much better and only has to work half as long. Excellent service, reasonable price. read more

Michael has only been doing this for 6 years, still a Rookie (he's the manager). I am not impressed with his customer service skills. My pool timer worked prior to Pool Ninja messing with anything. It is now not functioning. When I told Michael it worked before he said I need to trust his expertise or "this isn't gonna workout ". Pool Ninja broke my pool timer and when confronted about it, the response was a money grab and defensive. When I first got a quote over a year ago, I told the owner (Karl) I needed a company that could just handle our pool without me having to think about it - things are so busy with work, kids, and night school. Karl assured me Pool Ninja could live up to that standard, and really, a year later, they have. Needed a quieter pool pump - done. So quiet! Needed someone to troubleshoot a pool issue - managed within a half hour, yes, Karl was there at our pool within a half hour, and it wasn't even an emergency. Don't want those ugly Solaris things swimming in your pool all day - done. Our pool is gloriously uncluttered without one and still is sparkling blue. Karl, from Pool Ninja, came to my house the day after I called him. He said they do not service pools like mine due to the condition of the plaster. He could have turned around and left but he didn't. Instead, he checked all of my pool equipment, reset a complicated timer, emptied a basket, got the pool equipment up and running along with the pool sweep and then took the time to check the water and give me a list of items to buy and the name of a company to call. All of this was done in the heat of the day and at the end of his workday. He spent almost 45 minutes correcting and fixing things and wouldn't let me pay him. I only wish that I could have hired his company. I would recommend this company. Not many people go to this extent to help someone that they aren't going to take on as a client. I would recommend Pool Ninja, without hesitation, for any job that required pool reconstruction, pool cleaning, pool maintenance or any other tasks you had regarding a pool. KARL is the complete professional and his staff and he are dependable, competent, reasonable and so trustworthy. Of all the years I have hired people, he ranks among top five. Our pool was custom built play by Natural Design approximately 20 + years ago. It was not cleaned for the past 18 months and we needed a complete overhaul of the pool and waterfall! Many pool companies did not bid, since it was a major job. However we had three bids and chose Ninja Pool. Karl spent at least a day assessing our needs, gave us a complete breakdown of the bid and what it entailed. He started exactly when he said he would and it took over a week to completely add new motors for the pool and for the water slide. He completely drained our pool, acid washed it and got all the dregs out. It was a complete transformation and much-needed. He identified issues with my pool that were missed by two prior companies. He made changes to improve efficiency of my equipment (other guys were just checked the chemicals & did not adjust settings). He is a tad more expensive but worth it as he runs a very professional company (they use an electronic record keeping rather than writing on a chart inside the panel box) so that he (as the owner) can monitor & trouble shoot. I lived in Carmichael for 4 years and have been through many pool companies. I have a huge pool on a lot just shy of a quarter acre with 6 huge trees. Yes this meant a ton of work to keep the pool maintained. In those 4 years I went through almost every pool company north of Sacramento. They didn't show up, stopped coming, and basically when I called for quotes they would come by and say they were not taking anymore clients.
