We chose the new tires, the time estimate was 1 hour and to come back at 12:30 and we went for lunch and the car was ready early and I needed new wipers and they called and asked if I would like them replaced and they did this for me. I checked in and said that I would come back by 4 PM. I returned before 4 pm and my car was not done until nearly 6 pm. I am sure I was pushed back on the schedule several times. Terrible service. I had a 5+ hour drive home that same day and specifically requested that the wheels be balanced and the one bad tire be replaced. Initially, they declined to do what I requested. After speaking with my dad over the phone, they agreed to replace a tire. However, once I got home and we removed all four wheels, we discovered that the tire they replaced was not the tire that actually had the issue. They had also added a significant amount of wheel weights to the problematic wheel without explaining this to me. All four of my Michelin tires had been balanced within the past year and previously only had a small amount of weight on each wheel, so seeing that many weights added to a single wheel was concerning and appeared to indicate an issue with that tire. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication. The staff appeared to focus on some existing cosmetic damage to one of the rims and suggested that may have been the cause of the vibration. They also informed me that the problem would not be fully resolved, which left me wondering why the actual source of the vibration was not addressed. The steering wheel shake disappeared for roughly 350 miles after I left, then returned. I understand they were likely trying to help me get home safely, but I left feeling that my concerns were dismissed and that the root cause of the problem was never properly addressed. For an emergency situation where I was relying on their expertise, the communication and diagnosis were disappointing. I do want to add that the staff were very friendly, professional, and quick to help. Given that I was dealing with an unexpected issue while traveling, I appreciated that they got my vehicle into the shop right away and worked to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. My disappointment is not with how I was treated personally, but with the communication and the fact that the underlying issue was not properly identified or resolved.

My 17 ram 3500 actuator threw a fault code. I took it to bergstrom ram oshkosh because they should…read moreknow their product. The service advisor showed my how far down in the engine bay the actuator is and how many parts had to be removed to access it. I had a service agreement so the service advisor was going to interface with them to save me a lot of money. They replaced my actuator at a total cost of $4000 but my part was only $1000 because of all his hard work on the phone. I decided to try to bulletproof my 6.7 if one little part cost 4 grand. I replaced the turbo and my 4 thousand dollar actuator. My third/newer actuator was ordered with the 64mm turbo. My new mechanic removed the passenger side wheel liner, removed four screws. Installed the $700 new actuator in 20 minutes. My cost for the actuator was $700 and I suppose that bergstroms price would have been much less than that. My point is that markup on labor and parts at bergstrom is beyond what any reputable dealer would charge. Beware of the sharks swimming around in that dealership because 400% markups are not ethical in any industry. I wouldn't do business at this oshkosh ram dealer on a dare. Take your truck to any other shop in the area until they flush the rats out of this dealership. They certainly cant fix the dealership with bergstrom personel. If you look at all the yelp ratings for every bergstrom dealership you see why using yelp is a HUGE MONEY SAVER as it exposes the crooks in the automotive business.

I needed a repair done, and called over a week in advance and spoke with Cheyenne. She said that my vehicle would be done for sure in one day so we made an appointment for the following week. So, I dropped my car off the night before to have to looked at right in the morning. I got a call at 8am that they looked at my car, and this is what it needed and would be done later in the day. I called back at 5:15pm, and the guy that answered the phone told me it wasn't ready yet. I asked him when he thought it would be ready, and he instantly got an attitude with me. I don't think my question was unreasonable nor did it get angry that it wasn't ready. He starts rattling off everything they did, and what they still needed to do. I'm not unintelligent when it comes to car repairs, and I know what they needed to do should have taken 4 hours tops. Why they had my car all day and then get mad when I ask a question was really weird. He then told me my car would be ready in the morning- even though I was told twice it would be done the same day, whatever I had the next day off anyway. Later in the evening Cheyenne calls me to tell me that my car is ready. So we went to pick it up, and at least it came in under budget. I always find her very pleasant and knowledgeable to work with. The guy however, was a world class asshole. Based upon that interaction alone, I won't bring my own car here anymore, but others in my household probably will. When you are shelling out a few grand for a repair, you kind of expect to at least get a phone call if they are running behind in the repair time. And they damn well better be nice when you call for an update!
