Waited all week to go to the BBQ family style night. Well the flies were in full force where you could not e joy your food because you had to swat them away. Service was good but always ask for more candles to combat the flies. Food was ok nothing special which was even more of a bummer. I do not recommend this indoor place due to flies. read more

Very nice atmosphere and service is Great. Food is delicious and drinks are on point. Highly recommend.

I ordered a ribeye for carryout because I get free Food credit for gambling. Customer service is excellent, so I have no complaints about that. However, the environment was horrible, hundreds of flies everywhere. I go to the bar section to order food, and there are so many flies on the wall, and many are flying in your face. I sit in a small waiting area for my food, and I see flies there also. I wondered how there are so many flies because the outside doors are closed (they do have outdoor dining); also this restaurant is accessed from the top floor and you have to walk down stairs to get there. There's a pizza place upstairs that has absolutely no flies, so it's strange to see hundreds of flies at the bottom level. I asked for my ribeye to be cooked "medium" but it was definitely cooked well done (which is way off). For $40, I expected decent quality, but this was more like a fast food $7 steak. I won't be coming back here again. read more

We've dined at Pom before and had a great dinner. Tonight, we had a fabulous time - our dishes were well-prepared and delicious. The ambiance was casually elegant. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. However, the service was outstanding. Our drinks were refreshed continually, bread basket was kept full and all the staff was courteous and professional. Our server Mario was so attentive and kind - he was also funny and spoke to us in Spanish when he realized that we preferred that language. When there was a minor mistake in the kitchen with one of our plates, he informed us so politely and offered a complimentary dessert. Overall, our experience at Pom was pleasurable and the great service from Mario made our date night even better. read more

It's been a while since I've done a review. But this food is so good I had to. Starting with the service I can say it was great. Waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended the Apple french toast and it was literally the best I've had. The apples were cooked perfectly as was the french toast. I also like that they served non pork options such as steak & chicken sausage. I had the chicken sausage and it was delicious. Prices were also decent and worth it. read more

My husband and I were in town for my work even last week and were staying at the Fantasy Springs Resort. We didn't want to have to drive anywhere else for food, so we decided to explore the resort for options. It was around 3:30 PM, which is an off time for food, but luckily POM was available. We checked out the menu and decided to give it a go. Since we didn't want to spoil our appetite for dinner, we opted to split an appetizer and a salad. We ordered the calamari and the filet mignon wedge salad along with some drinks: bourbon for him and vodka for me. Our food came and I was a little surprised: the calamari was completely drenched in sauce- and not just one sauce. There was garlic aioli, balsamic sauce, and marinara. Way too much going on the plate. Then the wedge salad: I ordered it with dressing on the side and it came completely deconstructed. I'm not sure if that is how they normally serve it, but I didn't like having to make my salad at my table. Overall, serve was friendly and attentive- no complaints there. Food was so-so. I'd definitely recommend ordering the sauces on the side for the calamari. Pricier than expected: $60 for the both of us. Drinks were reasonably priced ($7-$9) but the food is overpriced for the quality. read more

After reading about their Tuesday Night BBQ Special on a sign in the Lobby, I marked our calendar to ensure that we visited POM on that night. For $14.95 you get a plate of Beef Brisket, Chicken, Beef Ribs, Jalapeno Cornbread, Salad, Cole Slaw, Mac 'n Cheese. It sounds like a lot because it is A LOT! There were 3 of us who ordered the BBQ Plate, so they brought it out Family Style for the table. Let me breakdown each of the items: Salad - The house dressing I think is a Creamy Italian....or something like that. It was very good! It had a creamy taste with a slight hint of vinegar...which balances off the slight sweetness of the dressing. It was good. Beef Brisket - This was my favorite of the items. The beef was moist and full of smoky flavor. It doesn't come slathered in BBQ Sauce (it's on the side) so you can add the right amount of sauce for your tastes.....I could have eaten a whole plate of just the Brisket. Ribs - This was my least favorite of the items. I'm not a Beef Ribs fan, so it's really hard for me to get excited about Beef Ribs. The Ribs come slathered with BBQ Sauce and there was quite a bit of fat on the Ribs.....I don't like that. Chicken - The Chicken was very good. Lightly brushed with BBQ Sauce, I had to add a little more once I had a bite or two since the meat under the skin didn't get any BBQ flavor....a little smoky flavor though. Mac 'n Cheese - I think it was a Triple Cheese Mac 'n Cheese because it was very thick and creamy. This was a very rich tasting side.....I'm sure loaded with calories, but damn it was good! Cole Slaw - I'm a huge fan of this Slaw! It has Cilantro and Hot Pepper in it....which made for an explosion of flavor in your mouth. I like my Cole Slaw with a medium amount of dressing....not soaking in it....and that's how I like it. Jalapeno Cornbread - It was pretty good, not too dry. It didn't have much of a kick, but I didn't expect it to. It went well with all of the other items on the plate. Overall, I had a good time at POM on BBQ night. Will I return? Next time I'm at Fantasy Springs, you bet! read more

Good stuff here. I had the: Pork Shank "Osso Buco" with horseradish whipped potatoes, frizzled beets, pineapple-soy demi glace ($18.5) Service was stupid fast (less than 7 minutes), and my dish was fork off, melt in your mouth heaven. The presentation was superb, with a few fried onion straws scattered across a mountain of whipped potatoes fused to the side of the pork. The horseradish in the potatoes was very overpowering, and the sweetness of the of the demi glace didn't quite get me there in a harmonization sense. That being said, it was still an extremely flavorful dish, and I would definitely order it again. A 4 star dish, and an overall 4 star experience. read more

**Road-Trip Diversion** WOW, what a contrast from the Buffet experience we had last time we were here. This restaurant is listed as casual dining on the website but, it feels a touch like fine dining to me. I guess it's really not though. Nice large open space with some patio tables when the weather is right. Patio and inside tables have a view of the POM Herb Garden, funny. The service: Very Good. The food: Very good and large portions. My Braised Pork Shank (Pork Osso Buco) was melt-in-your-mouth juicy and tender and delicious.http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/DZ3IyeAnrftV-0G2jM86QQ?select=Iq5uPXqcoYQtwIuq-jhSGg Garlic mashed potatoes....delicious. My partner had the Chicken Pot Pie http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/DZ3IyeAnrftV-0G2jM86QQ?select=THt9d4aJWYWuoYlC2_FS4w with a side of Garlic Mashed. The grand total: 2 Glasses Sangria, 1 diet Coke, 2 Entrees, 1 side mashed = $53. Not bad considering the setting, quality, service and portions. Still got $$ to kill on my gift card and I'll probably try this place again. read more

Definitely a must go!!! This place goes above and beyond on service. The manager was amazing and she got us our table and made sure that we were taken care of really fast. The food was out of this world. Definitely made us feel like royalty. My wife and I had a very lovely experience. But let me tell you the reason why we going back, we got HANDS DOWN the best service by Joel our waiter!!! This kid took care of us, had great conversation, super respectful and the attention he brought to our table was extraordinary!!! Definitely recommend this place and we are coming back for sure!!!! read more

I came here twice during my business trip to the high desert. One thing is I like the fact that they were open late for dinner. I came back to my hotel and passed out only to wake up way past dinner. I got the southern fried chicken dish, an odd menu item considering it's supposed to be a cloth lined table restaurant. But whatever, I like me some fried chicken!! It was a tad bit disappointing, I could get so much better at the local popeye's. And how can you argue against popeye's but that's a different delicious story! It was not crispy and mouth watering. It didn't really do justice to the title "Southern" fried chicken and I was in the Army and I traveled the world for good fried chicken. Well, fried chicken wasn't the only reason I joined the Army. The next day I got the two eggs breakfast, it was not filling, eggs were a bit under cooked. There were other restaurants at the hotel, I definitely wish I could have tried some of those instead. read more

Love the POM ... comfortable setting, great service and a decent wine/alcohol/beer menu. Have two favorite dishes. The Chicken Parmesan which is amazing on top of bed of sauced angel hair pasta!! Very generous plate of food. Bring your appetite. Also the king cut Prime Rib... heavenly!! Can't go wrong at all with those two. Was also pleasantly surprised by the specials... do yourself a favor and inquire about those. Always too full for a desert though ... highly recommended. read more

Check in and get the special $5.95 lunch menu so 4 stars because of that. 6 great selections. Like grilled meatloaf sandwich or the angus beef burger with fries and the soup of the day!!!! Great awesome deal. I did make a few suggestions to the manager. The meatloaf sandwich was dry and a bit bland. It was missing maybe a side dipping sauce. Tomato base. Other than that, it was good. Would go again to this place if they constantly have that deal whenever I check in. Definitely beats the crappy pizza place across the walkway. Waiter was awesome. Very attentive, friendly and understanding. Customer service at its best. read more

Oh my goodness! Want a nice place to eat dinner? A place with white table cloths/napkins and waiters who know their stuff?! The Pom restaurant at Fantasy Springs in Indio Ca, is highly recommended!!! The food was EXCELLENT! The service was amazing! Joel our waiter has a friendly, courteous, professional personality! A TOP NOTCH young man who made sure we we're happy and satisfied with everything concerning our visit! The menu I think was put together from Chef Freddie! EXCELLENT with a variety of food, from a breakfast for dinner menu, to a tortilla soup, to a shrimp fettuccine with a limone sauce! Oh my how I highly recommend this dish! Ask for a couple pieces of lemon! Then there's Freddie's signature dish! Spaghetti w/ meatballs! Freddie's 100 yr, old recipe! Superb! Cannot forget the various desserts! The pineapple cheesecake was delicious and was definitely NOT LIKE any homemade cheesecake I ever tasted before! Make a nice evening and visit this restaurant! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! read more

Food was worth waiting for until the restaurant opened! I arrived 20 minutes prior to the restaurant reopen for dinner so I waited until we condo re enter and it was worth every minute! the waitress Mariah was very prompt! She knew we were famished and needed food in our systems so she delivered food and service as fast she could! Mariah suggested the Bang Bang Shrimp which was delectable! Sesame seeds and sauté in a tangy sauce was very tasty! Thank you for that recommendation alongside the calamari and potato cheese soup. All these appetizers were enough to keep my stomach content and not to mention delicious too! It was a fast dining experience because, it was off to the Golden Boy promotions boxing matches but still a great eatery. read more

We came in for late dinner not knowing what to expect. Friendly hostess and attentive servers. We ordered drinks, wings, spinach dip + calamari. My boyfriend loved the wings (he's picky!), the dip wasn't t over cheesy which I enjoyed. The calamari was good too. We ordered a couple of desserts- carrot cake was yummy as well as the ice cream sampler. It was a good balance sweetness to our drinks especially for a late dinner. We enjoyed it overall and thumbs up to our waiter, Antonio. He went out of his way to make sure we got great service even though we were there close to closing time. We hope to be back soon. read more

The food was bland. Only 1/4 of the Veggie^4 platter was edible - the spaghetti squash with marinara was good, but the broccoli amandine had no almonds, the fried rice tasted like Rice-a-Roni and the blinis were burnt. My friends' surf and turf stroganoff was "eh" - the shrimp was bad. And the eggplant in the parm was edible but not the chicken. The service was even worse. Our check had to be begged for, as did our cards to be run. And then they brought out a second bill! Two tables next to us were also upset - to the point of bringing in the manager. The restaurant staff was trying but the while dinner was a mess. Not coming back. read more

The Wednesday country night is very good! Big portions and very tasty. Very good service as well.

Awesome service if you're a VIP card holder. We got seated right away even though there was a 45 minute wait. Our orders and drinks were taken right away by Marcos and our server Hannah they were great and worked together as a team so our drinks stayed filled and we didn't have to ask for things since they got us everything we needed right away with our food. The food on the other hand was pretty good I got Chef Freddy's Meatballs and Spaghetti which was awesome and spicy since I added some chili flakes to it yummy! I also asked for extra cheese because I love cheese haha. The food was awesome but it got to cold right away along with the breadsticks since the ac is pumping in the restaurant. The cheese toast I got was really hard yet soggy on the bottom since it was sitting in the sauce when I got it. Besides the toast being hard and soggy in the bottom everything was excellent ! read more

The service was great! Everyone is super friendly. My family and I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it had a lot of breading and crunch to it which I enjoyed but it was very chewy (overcooked). Next my parents ordered the meat ball and spaghetti and honestly it was bad I feel like I could have cooked that better. The sauce was very sweet and lacked a lot of flavor. I had the half pound cheeseburger and the meat was really good it just needed a bit more seasoning. Lastly We had coffee and pie for dessert, the pie was slightly cold inside and the coffee was served cold. Would I come back? Mhhhhh probably not and if I do it's because I'm giving them a second chance. read more

I've been here a few times for lunch and dinner. It's a nice spot and break from a loud casino. For lunch time the atmosphere is casual and relaxing. They often have a pianist playing which is a nice touch. For dinner, it's a little busier and fast paced. I've had the Spinach salad, the Wedge with Filet Mignon, Moroccan salad and some sandwich and soup offerings. The spinach and wedge salads were good. The filet mignon that came with the wedge was cooked perfectly and tender. Unfortunately the Moroccan salad missed the mark for me. It didn't seem to include all of the toppings that were listed in the menu. Otherwise, the food is tasty. They get a plus for the slim bread sticks they put on the table. My favorite is the spinach salad as it's huge, fresh and flavorful. Oh, I've also had their lunch portion of the Waldorf Chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Just the right about, plus it came with a choice of soup (which the lunch special includes.) Service is also hit and miss. On some occasions the waitstaff was attentive and kept glasses full, etc. On others they have been absent most of the time even when the place is not busy. I have noticed that staff keeps an eye on tables from the distance. Like I said, hit or miss. Overall I will continue to go back but probably only for lunch because the atmosphere is more relaxing, service is more attentive and portions are just right for pricing. read more

I've been to Pom many times but got intestinal food poisoning last night. Ordered the spaghetti and meatballs dish that I've ordered many times before. Tasted good but two hours later had cramps and was stuck in the bathroom to put it diplomatically. Also affected me today as well so either they changed the recipe or my food was bad quality. My girlfriend ordered her favorite dish as well that was salmon stir fry with vegetables. It wasn't as good as before as well. We enjoy the ambience, yet the service is slow with lots of people standing around. Have to ask repeatedly for water refills, would be much easier to leave the bottle at table. Simple things are a challenge it seems. Wanted to sit at a four top table and was told all were reserved? Sat me instead at a two top table in back too close to other tables with COVID 6 foot social distancing protocols. I requested that they don't sit anyone next to us and got a confused look in return. They ended up sliding over the table to make a four top so I could sit next to my girlfriend. Seemed like I put them out for my requests to feel safe at dinner. My girlfriend works in a restaurant and she warned me about making demands and how my pasta might've been compromised causing the food poisoning. I did tip good as well so not a disgruntled customer. Something definitely was wrong with my food to cause that 24 hour issue. Wish I would've tried the Asian restaurant that I had nearly booked. Next time for sure. Too bad that happened, last time was perfect with Gabriel who was our waiter. I said hello to him last night when he delivered our food. Maybe if they gave me the original 4 top table, it all could've been avoided. They obviously don't want 2 in a 4 top but that's not an uncommon request especially during COVID with two tops within a couple of feet of each other on back wall of restaurant. Disappointing that Pom has slipped from the past great experiences. read more

POM restaurant is located inside of Fantasy Springs Casino. It's a nice restaurant. They have a decent menu and it's not too pricey. They had wine and sparkling bottles for $25 which was nice. If you don't finish the alcohol you can take it in a "to go" cup. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was good and you could tell the marinara was fresh. The meatballs were delicious too. We had really good service. We ended up sitting at the bar bc the restaurant had a wait unless you wanted to sit outside but bc of the heat we opted for the bar. The bar was definitely comfortable. Pom has an excellent menu. There is something for everyone: whet your appetite with one of the small plates, (priced between $8 and $15), which include Bang Bang Shrimp, Calamari, Fresh Guacamole, Chicken Tostadas, and Beef Chimichangas. Then, tuck into a wide range of entrées, (priced between $11 and $36), including, Prime Rib, Steak / Chicken Fajitas, Tuna Taco Sliders, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Osso Buco, Pork Chops Adobo, Mushroom Ravioli alla Vodka, Chicken Florentine, and Filet Mignon. Remember to get a doggy bag, so you have room for dessert! My favourite dish at Pom, is the Prime Rib. I have to split this because it is massive. It is $26, and well worth it. There is no split charge, even though you get an extra baked potato with all the trimmings. I highly recommend simultaneously sipping a smooth glass of chianti. The Mushroom Ravioli will knock your socks off, as will the Osso Buco. I tried the apple pie for the first time last night, and it was one of the best I've had. The apples are cut into little squares, so the spices can permeate through; the flavour is simply fantastic. The pastry is also very tasty. Three of us shared this, and couldn't finish it! I like to sit at the high table close to the bar. If you don't have a reservation, and the restaurant is busy, chances are, there will be some space at the high table, so be sure to take a peek over the balcony and check, to avoid a wait. Daniel is a great waiter. I really like his gentle manner, and he is extremely polite and professional. He came to check on us several times throughout the meal, which made our dinner a very pleasant experience. Pom is an excellent restaurant in itself, regardless of the fact that it is located at Fantasy Springs Casino. The food is of a consistently high standard, and everything I order, is cooked perfectly every time. This is one of my go-to restaurants when I'm in the Palm Springs area! read more

Don't really ever post much... many times in the service industry people try but are always average or so so... Today, after coming to this restaurant for nearly 20 years with our family and kids.. My family and I were just floored on the how awesome and grateful for the service we received from our waiter Bobby! He was kind, funny, witty, polite, professional and on point with everything we ordered. He genuinely, made my day (having a tough week) and experience one to remember. In owning my own company and having over 100 employees it's hard to find the diamonds, he's one of them! No matter what he will do in life he is a 5 star employee! POM Restaurant - Birthday dessert for my wife's 64th birthday. Light and beautifully presented. - New American Near Me - Indio, California

We began with the calamari and the crabmeat and avocado cocktail. The calamari was crisp. and chewy and plenty to share. My cocktail (see photo) was refreshing and delicious. The crabmeat was held together with an innocuous binder and the avocado was ripe and silky. Will DEFINITELY order that again! The bread basket comes with rolls and breadsticks which are very yummy and easy to fill up on. For main courses, hubby got fettucine alfredo with shrimp and I got the chicken with artichoke pomodoro. WARNING: they put garlic in their Alfredo sauce (which, if you know the story behind the sauce), ought not to be there. Unfortunately, it happens all too frequently. My penne pasta was cooked slightly past al dente, but was by no means mushy. The sauce was chunky with mushrooms, tomatoes, sweet red pepper strips as well as the chicken and artichokes. Very fresh and flavorful and sized to share. For dessert, we shared the chocolate mousse cake. Do yourself a favor, be sure to request it WITHOUT the coulis garnish! IMHO, the strawberry flavor detracts from the whole chocolate experience. Aside from that, the cake was moist and the mousse was fluffy and it was very chocolaty withojt being too much. Overall...an enjoyable meal. read more
